Some nice trains, especially the steel coil train - heavy stuff! When I was a kid, I loved trains and tracks (and still do) and used to do things like those kids. It isn't safe, but kids will be kids :)
It's so great that you are encouraging Elliot's interest in trains and letting him be in your video. Another good video on the Rathole line. Thanks, JT.
Thank you for another two separate days of railfanning on The Hill in Crescent City, Kentucky, Jaw Tooth! It was nice to see both empty and the loaded versions of the coil train on the 27 June 2023 portion of this video. Those two teenage boys were not paying a lot of attention to trains when they were walking around the tracks. It was nice of you to give Train Chaser Elliot a plug on your video.
Every time I see a train go by, I am truly amazed at some of the graffiti on the cars. There’s a lot of awesome talent out there that is being wasted. Those people could probably make a very good living putting that kind of talent to use.🤷♂️
Oh yeah Jaw Tooth great catch and they were waiting on a NS steel coil train. Oh yeah high rail truck and for them they had a good reason hopping over the train. Oh perfect now on spot great timing for you to filme the rail action. Look at that railfan book post so much to read and it's a another NS freight train with an DPU.!!!
Love the sounds of the trains. All of them, squealing brakes to clacking of the flat wheels. And an animal show to boot. Thanks for what you do JT. Oh, the new puppy, what is the name again?
This was a cool interesting video. 😊 Railfan Danny Harmon mention you the other day how cool.and interesting your videos were and how awesome the variety of personal things you mention and good details of things about the railroad.❤ Thanks Mr JT 😊
Back in the 1950/1960 time frame the railroad police would arrest a person if they found them on the railroad right away. We used to ask the police if we could recover Babbit when the railroad changed a bearing and repacked the oil filled rags. We used the babbit for sinkers for fishing. We had a switchyard for the coal mine and we never went through the switchyard. There was three railroads through our little town, New York Central, Chicago and Northwestern, and also the Litchfield and Madison that pulled coal cars from the local mines. This was in Southern Illinois.
Basically remote controlled from the lead engine using radios. It normally duplicates what the lead engine does, but those inputs can be modified to give additional power or braking.
A fine-looking pedestrian bridge in Crescent Springs. A little disturbing that someone threw a bicycle off of it. Somewhat encouraging that nobody was on or around the bike. Or, do you think the bike person may have been taken by a band of marauding Canadians? Lotta bad new coming out of Canada lately. Well, gracias por tu video, Señor Jaws. Be careful on the bridges. Distance yourself from those that say 'eewt' for 'out' and end everything said with an 'eh'?... eh. RT sends, Puebla, México...
A couple of idiot darwins, you see them all over lately. Cool train meet with the coil steel train. Always love the bookend power NS uses on it. Hi Elliot, welcome aboard! And yet another set of bookend power on the autorack train, cool. Great video, enjoyed it immensely!

I can't believe how stupid those kids were climbing over an active freight train! It easily could've started moving, and those kids would've got themselves seriously injured! I have a healthy respect for trains, and I would never climb over one for the reason I just mentioned. People are so impatient these days!
@@JawTooth Well, I hate to hear that. But, I knew you were concerned about being able to catch him before that awful cold spell you all had. You took good care of that duck and I enjoyed seeing him in your videos. I can also tell you like animals and do what you can for them. Thanks for letting me know about the duck.
@@mikedurhan9941 I wish I could have caught him. The snow was deep and I kept falling into holes by the pond that I couldn't see. I put out a big trashcan and tried to get him to go into it and I set out a have a heart trap and just couldn't catch him. I never saw him again after that. It was a terrible blizzard and my guess is that the coyotes got him after the pond was frozen over. He was a good duck but we just couldn't get close to him
Seeing that alot on Virtual Rail Fan pedestrians crossing over parked trains, running out in front of them, riding bikes out in front of trains, I saw a Guy recently run out in front of a NS Southbound IM in Thomasville NC on the rail cam. Real cool footage JT,every time I got ready to leave from filming NS trains last month in Christiansburg VA an approach or clear signal would pop up and I caught 6 trains just there and 3 before that at another place I film!🛤🚂

what's with the 3 Union Pacific engines? don't they belong out west?
