While watching the movie when Capt. Batra defeated those 3 soldiers in that small bunker, I remember thinking "Yeh thoda zyada hogaya" but I was completely mind blown after knowing this is actually a true story. WHAT A LEGEND HE WAS🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

When even I watched the movie,Capt. Batra save his army officer at the time of the war...at that time I thought it was a Fiction, But after watching this video i am aware that he actually did that. As a child I used to visit Palampur to one my relatives (Nani) and we listened his story from our elder ones how he defeated enemies and made proud us..... Proud Indian 🇮🇳

Many of these scenes were shown in the movie- LOC Kargil. Captain Vikram Batra's role was played by Abhishek Bachchan and Dimple's role by Esha Deol. That movie is also very nice and has reference to many other Kargil war heroes like Lt. Manoj Pandey, Cpt. Anuj Nayyar etc. It's a long movie but nice one.

I’m so Amazed to see that it’s hardly an year has gone of Sushant’s death and everyone has started watching Karan Johar movie once again.. I have a huge respect for Captain Vikram Batra but I also understand this is his trick and tactic to get his fame back. Just think about the Rifleman an upcoming project where Sushant was going to play the role of a soldier Jaswant Singh and what about Chanda Mama door ke which was going to be first interstellar space travel movie in Indian movie, a dream project funded by Sushant

Being from army fraternity I know this movie is not at all fictionalized, they didn’t ruin the original character and the story.. whatever they showed was absolutely true unlike other Bollywood movies in army genre.. How army officers and soldiers live , fight on battlefield, their relationships, uniforms, behaviour, everything was so true.. That is why this is the highest rated Bollywood movie on imdb which is an achievement in itself.. Best biopic ever made !! No fake drama no masala, a pure biopic of a legend !!!
The fact is that he had already done many heroic action in his real life that today film makers didn't need to fictionalize his biography...🔥❤️🙏

Fact (+1) : Captain Batra's parents suggest the name of Siddharth Malhotra for the biopic to the makers.
I remember watching his interview on tv as a 13 year old in Bombay in 1999. Our school boys were feeling so proud on news that Indian soldiers captured of tiger hills(though none of us knew where kargil was, or what tiger hills meant) the dil mange more slogan from Pepsi was aptly used by captain batra.. it was so cool as it struck a chord with us.. our school collected money for Prime minister Atal ji’s kargil Fund. We all have most of our pocket money. Those were the days!! 🙂
Yes, we did the same, but my dad was an Army man and i spent my childhood in Kargil, so i knew where and what it was- a beautiful place, like heaven.

We did too..and our school gave a small flag like pin to all the students who donated money. We also used to not sing the national anthem and instead pray in silence for 2 mins that day when ever India lost a soldier .

his life was so filmy that even director would have thought to cut some scenes. At the age of just 24, captain in Indian army, PVC awardee, a partner who sacrificed her whole life for him. What else greatness can define? His life wasn't long but absolutely VERY LARGE.

Shershaah is the best biopic I've seen in the last few years. Unlike some other films that belittle other characters(because the movie tells us about other kargil heroes also) and incorporate fictional scenes just to make the storyline interesting, this movie did full justice to the legend Vikram Batra. Great performances, good music that doesn't steal the spotlight of what is actually happening in the scene and great direction.
