I remember reading somewhere (possibly a bbc news article?) that the Bank of England has £1,000,000 and £100,000,000 banknotes. They’re nicknamed giants and titans respectively, and are only really used for transferring money between banks, and backing the Scottish and Irish notes. They’re not supposed to go into general circulation at all though - they’re like the $100,000 notes you were talking about in this video.
Hey there,
Just thought I'd point out that you cannot excange UK notes for their newer counterparts without:
A) having a UK bank account in your name.
B) going to the reserve bank of england in London.
This stung me when I went to the UK from NZ in April 2018 and turns out the FX in NZ had given us notes that were officially no longer legal tender since Sept 2017.

Some additional information:
1) $500, $1000, $5000 and $10,000 Series 1928 and 1934 Federal Reserve notes are available from currency dealers and auctioneers. The former two usually cost about 2 to 3X their face value, while the latter two are much rarer and cost 10 to 30X their face value (depending upon their condition).
2) $500, $1000, $5000 and $10,000 Series 1928 Gold Certificates are are all legal to own, but only the former two are available to collectors, selling for at least 10X their face value, again depending upon their condition. Only serial number "1" of each of the latter two still exist, and they are in government collections, so none are available for collectors.
3) $100, $1000, $10,000 and $100,000 Series 1934 Gold Certificates are NOT legal to own, and these can only be seen in government collections. The designs on the backs of them are orange instead of green.
4) In addition to the these bills, there are also 2 or 3 "specimen" bills that show the front of the bill (while the back is typically blank), and are marked "SPECIMEN" and have no monetary value (in order words, they can't be deposited into an account or used to purchase anything). However, they have collector value, and in 2005 a $100,000 specimen sold for $74,500 at a currency auction--it had no serial number or orange treasury seal on the front.
5) There are still some older (large-sized) $500 and $1000 notes (both Series 1922 Gold Certificates and Series 1918 Federal Reserve Notes, along with a few older series) still available for collectors. The backs of the Gold Certificates are orange. All the kinds I've mentioned above (#1 through #4) are "small sized" meaning they are the same size as the bills we have in circulation today, and share the same general appearance (i.e., small portrait in the center) as the $1 and $2 in current circulation.
6) There is a Series 1900 $10,000 Gold Certificate that could be surrendered to the Treasury for gold, but they were not recirculated after being surrendered (redeemed), so they were cancelled. However, there was a fire in a government building in 1935, and along with other items, a box of these was thrown outside, and some of the bills fell out and were picked up by people walking by. They had been cancelled, mainly by punching holes in them. They have no face value, and can be purchased from currency dealers for around $3000 to $10,000, depending upon condition. Thus, they are the only previously-circulating bills than can often be bought for less than their previous face value. They are technically illegal to own (being "stolen" government property), but because they no longer have any monetary value, the government basically doesn't really care and has made no effort to reclaim or confiscate them.
Anyone interested in "high denomination" bills would enjoy a book by Stephen M. Sullivan titled "Small Sized High Denomination Notes"--the 2nd edition published in 2008 is a bit dated but provides a lot of information about these bills. The $5000, $10,000 and $100,000 bills are sometimes referred to as "ultra-high" denominations.
My grandfather who was a Bank Manager here in Canada used to transport 1M$CAD notes ... And up to recently (after 1988), Canada had 1000$ bills in circulation, I saw and touched some in '88.

@Brad Smith It's actually not. After playing the same set of Monopoly for a while, some of the money could get lost, making money harder to circulate. And if you play by the official rule, asset price would natually got inflated over time, and maybe the bank can potentially get bankrupted if the same game is being played too long? And then, if you got too annoyed and stop playing the specific set of Monopoly which would mean no economy anymore. Monopoly money is kinda born to dead when think of it, giving that it's issued in limited amount and would be less and less. US dollar can at least go a bit longer than that?

Multiple Banks in both Scotland and Northern Ireland issue bank notes in their region not just the the Bank of Scotland or the Bank of Ireland. This commonly leads to issues when using the Northern Ireland or Scottish notes in England as they aren't "Sterling", they are Sterling and legal tender across the United Kingdom, most English people just don't come into contact with the Scottish or Northern Irish notes. Bank notes issued in Isle of Man or the channel islands are not sterling. While they may be part of Great Britain, they are not part of the The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to use the full title.

As a cashier with a large collection in my safe I love it when people bring me rare and interesting coins and paper currency. What’s more interesting is that I pay face value. I get notes worth hundreds for $1, $5 and such. Of course nowadays it’s getting harder to find them as they circulate less and people are more wise to hold onto them. The only times I get them now is if a kid steals them out of their parents collection.
