very good demo, thank you, playing nice and commenting accordingly. On contrary of some other comments, I do like the abalone rosette and body filings. Tone wise I prefer unplugged, that Fishman cuts the presence that I like so much. At that price , it is better than those other well know brand which offer less for more. Hard to resist adding this beautiful guitar to my room ! I discovered it thanks to Tony Mac Manus who has a signature PRS. Worth to listen to his playing .

I've just taken delivery (early Oct. 2022) of a T60e which I ordered from Anderton's. It was the last one they had in stock and I don't think they'll be stocking any more of either the Tonare or Angelus once they sell the last couple of the latter that they still have. (In fact they don't carry them in the shop, they're tucked away in the warehouse.) The difference with the T50e demonstrated in this video is that the T60e has binding on the neck and headstock.
I'm coming back to playing guitar after 40 years of not touching one. I purchased the guitar as both a 66th birthday present and as a retirement present to myself. The case is impressive in itself, though unbranded, and weighs more than the guitar. Not something that I expected at this price point. The guitar meanwhile is impressive in its flawless build quality and blingy with the ivory-coloured binding and the abalone perfling and inlays though not excessively so on natural finish guitars; it's more noticeable on bursted tops.
I've only got about half an hour on it and I'm not going to say that I fell straight back into it. For one thing the fingertips on my left hand lost their protective layer of hardened skin decades ago though I was expecting a little discomfort due to that but my fingers on both hands appear to have lost their muscle memory when forming chords (left hand) and picking (right hand). I may put lighter gauge strings on it because that has always been my preference anyway but it's going to take time, patience and persistence to recover "match fitness". Still, I have the time now that I'm a senior citizen.
Prior to buying this instrument I watched several RUclips videos by several reviewers. On the Anderton's Angelus/Tonare review Danish Pete Honore noted that the action was higher than he preferred and another RUclipsr, Cesar All Guitar, made the same observation at the end of his video. I have to say that this is also my one complaint. I don't recall my old guitars, particularly the acoustic, being this hard to play. At the moment it feels like an uncomfortable pair of new shoes that need to be worn in. The neck looks like it has relief in it and the nut looks properly cut but that bridge needs sanding down to lower the action. I think my second guitar journey starts with a proper set up but it's going to take a while before it feels like it's mine.

Try adjusting the trussrod first before you touch the saddle!
Most overseas guitars have high action relief for shipping purposes.
Good luck on your muscle memory!

Excellent review, it's great that you talk about playability and setup, these things are rarely mentioned by most reviewers.

weight is about the same as martin x series, though it looks heavier with that clunky head stock. and yes, solid back and sides are much lighter. I am repeatedly astounded at the light weight every time I pick up my new martin 000-15m. and oh yeah...Thanks for the great reviews...well done!

I've been wanting to try one of these guitars for a while now. I'll have to go to my local shop soon.
Have you considered making a review of the Yamaha L6 / 16 series? I think they are one of the best value guitars out there and I have not seen a very detailed review such as the ones you produced.
    Great reviews.

PRS acoustic guitars all heavy, not only SE laminated back and sides models Private Stock guitars also. Their important feature, hybrid X/classical brace need to built heavier than traditional X braced guitars. I think it...is trade off. they got more tough structure and strong sound for sacrifice weight.

I just bought the A 50E.. great feel n sound.. but the burst back n sides (gray n blue) does not fit the guitar, I'd like the natural look of maple back n sides..

WOW, this is the best review!
Is it possible that you could do a review on PRS SE T40E too? Or maybe just brief thoughts between T50e and T40e?
    Thank you very much again!

Great review,I'm looking to purchase one of these but I was curious about the weight and the finish looks satin in pics, I can see now it is a gloss finish. Gotta think about it now. I love a satin finish and sound.

Sounds incredible until you plug it in. Sheesh my skin crawled. Such a shame because the natural sound is truly fantastic.

    • @odyssey468
      @odyssey468 4 года назад

Adam Mueller I agree with you there, personally I haven’t found a plug in sound I have liked. When it comes to acoustics, just mic it up or nothing at all, it loses so much of the personality...
