Greetings! First of all, many thanks for your very explanatory and resolving tutorials....I am Italian, I own a co2 laser with x and y 1000 mmx 800 mm and to eliminate an error (Water 1) I reset the machine to default to without making a backup estimate....🤷♂️I'm a neophyte and now I find the parameters wrong. I'm trying to rearrange everything by following this tutorial of yours but even though I follow your description to the letter, the x and y axes no longer carry out the machine zero when I turn on the machine and what's more, if I move the axes with the cursor they collide even though the machine has limit switches. In this regard, I wanted to ask you if you could kindly give me some suggestions regarding the problems I mentioned. Do I need to change the polarity of the axes to rearrange everything? Thank you again. Bernardo.
Is it possible to tell the ruida to lower the bed upon going home? Was thinking if it did that, it would be less likely to jamb up the pen when you set your workpiece on the bed. Kind of forcing you to auto-focus everytime, but less likely for collisions
I have a problem with my co2 laser, the 1410 150w Reci and I use ruida. I checked the belts and bearings, everything is ok, I also did a calibration, but the problem is still there. They are all equal pieces of 333.3 x 102.4 mm. arranged horizontally, 3 on the x axis and 8 on the Y, I see that there is a problem on the X axis. But only up to more or less 500 mm from the zero point (which I set on the left) in fact all the first pieces that it cuts on the X axis are shorter by about 4 mm, while the second and third pieces are quite precise. In your opinion, what could be the problem? Thanks
oh, I forgot something important, this error only happens on the left side of the machine (where I set the zero point) if I invert the zero point and put it on the right, it cuts the first piece precisely, but when it cuts the piece that is further to the left it gets the measurements wrong again, it's as if it were the wrong left side of the machine.
Can you help me please, my laser fires when I press the test button on the power supply. When I press pulse on the ruida controller nothing happens. I’ve replace the power supply and tube. Laser moves as it should it’s just not marking the material. Do you think the problem is in the controller?
Good afternoon, how can I reduce the speed of movement between cuts? The speed is very high. I've already managed to reduce the speed for home position on the panel, but between cuts it's still very high. Thanks!
thanks for your videos. I have a problem now. i don't have the originals vendor setting's i have the kh7050 with 90w reci and ruida 6445s . what can i do? i work play most with lithburn have also rdworks. thanks
I have a question. Changed the Ruida controller to rdc6442s-b(ec). Issues: slow speed and my x axis it goes very long. If i buy some support from you, remotely, can you help? thank you.
Please need some help with setting a old Golden Laser to a new RuiDa 6445G, what is the factory pass word? Can you do a vid on setup of a new a machine?
Excellent Sir very nice video I have a question for you if you know of course. Can i connect a diode laser to ruida controller and if yes how to wire the laser
Thanks a lot for these videos, they helped me tremendously. I'm having one odd problem, that is my files seem to be cutting mirrored. for example, if my origin is top left in RDworks, it cuts with the origin on the top right then all vectors and text mirrored. I'm sure it's something silly, do you have any ideas?
On my laser the bed moves along the +Y axis instead of the +X axis Moves to -Y axis instead of -X axis Moves to -X axis instead of +Y axis Moves to +X axis instead of -Y axis.. Can they solve this problem?
Hi. I have 150w co2 and i changed controller to Riuda. Its working ok , Its all nice and square when you cut the sample but weird thing is when i go to lcd screen and press up/down/left/right its not moving right, It goes over the size every time. Not sure whether its software setting or motor controller setting or something else. When i load the file it cuts exactly 100x100mm and other projects are fine and accurate but head its NOT mowing accurately when i manually press buttons on the machine itself. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
hi how are you sir.... i want to make rubber stamp on this software.. but when i bring file from corel draw x4 that file is not coming good any suggestion please....
Change the values of the X and Y axes of the vendor Setting as indicated in the video and the laser machine does not move in any axis, it presents a noise as if it were stuck, how can I restore the factory values to see if the problem is fixed.

Hi Matt got a question on the Ruida 6445g control I have cleared the files I had stored in control memory, but the temp file is still there.if I run the machine it operates and I think if I hit other keys it will run, seems to be very dangerous,I do not have the laser hooked up, any help will be appreciated
Hi I have an auto focus system for metal and non metal cutting in my machine laser co2, but I need to know what happened wit the system because now have some problems during the cutting process in steel or stainless steel and I don’t know what is the problem, the motor of the “z” move very very fast to move up and down the head of cutting, do you know how can I solve this problem? The movement is minimum just I know it exist because the motor sound and we can see the movement of it very very fast. I hope you can help me. Thanks
Hi Matt, thanks a lot! I managed to calibrate the X Y successfully. However the Z platform is problematic. It only move 1 side. Any idea why? Appreciate your feedback
hello, I want to ask you something please, how do you do when I put a lot of drawings in lightburn to finish one first and then go to the next? because now he does one after the other and goes to the other and as a result he does not do it right to me. thank you
I have removed my auto focus as it was giving me issues. I want to disable the "focus" button on the controller so I don't accidentally push it and crash into the head with no auto focus switch installed. Is there a setting to do this? Thanks.
Yes, with RuiDa Controller, use RD works, on the user tab (Right hand side of User Interface) press READ information from controller, go to the OPTION Page of the USER Tab, Scroll down to "Enable Focusing Function" and change it from YES to NO. Now WRITE setting Back to controller.
what version of RDworks 8 are you using? Also note if you are using Thunder Laser's Version of RD works I have found that is does not work on all machines. I use RDWorks Ver 8.01.48 available to download at www.mwlaser.com.au/sdm_downloads
Hi Mat. I have a 1390 Laser with stepper motors. How can i increase the engraving speed from 500mmm/sec to let's say 700 mm/sec. Is this possible? In vendor setting the max limit for X is set to 500 mm/ sec, even i we change it to 700mm/sec the engraving has the same speed. Thanks for your time.
The settings are the same in LightBurn, they are just shown in a different window layout . To access them in LightBurn select menu EDIT - MACHINE SETTINGS. You can also READ current settings and back them up first by pressing on the SAVE, and to Restore from backup using the LOAD button. Under Machine Settings you will also find the button to Calibrate your Axis. Cheers Matt
limit switches are doing my head in! These are standard microswitches. When pressed manually, indicator lights come on on the controller. X or Y motors wont stop. (RD6445G; connects either by ethernet or USB to RD works. ) Any suggestions?
it sounds like the limit switches are not triggered automatically by the axis and may be misaligned. email askmatt@mwlaser.com.au and I will try to assist further, One of the services I provide is support via video call if you are interested in troubleshooting that way. Cheers Matt
@@MWLaser should have said, but I'm building the Further Fab Y1200. Was getting the X & Y mixed up ( reversed on that machine!) Also repeatedly forgetting to 'write, save' I got these vital settings saved now. 👍
@@MWLaser Thanks Matt, I may take you up on the remote support when my project is complete.. In my job I work with a company, that uses remote support, and I sometimes 'log in' to my customers machines to help them. So nothing new here. ( except we're about 7 -8 apart on the clock!! I'm based in South England. )
my machine doesnt go to home position and try to go over than limit are making lots of noise, how can i reset factory paramenters or someone know whats happening?
Water protect error appears when the water supply to the laser is not on. If you are using a water chiller, make sure it has water and the water is pumping properly. if you are using a water pump check that the pump is operating properly. If the water is flowing and you still receive this error message, then it is possible that your water flow sensor is faulty and requires replacement.
This video has saved me so much time and headaches for a new CO2 machine builder. Am grateful
