0:54 blimps were so high in the sky that you’d barely be able to see them. Blimp operators would get frostbite from how cold it was up there. They would just bomb an area while being invulnerable in the sky. They were not see easily targetable until a special time of incendiary ammunition was developed to counter them. That’s as far as I know but maybe I’m wrong
They were dirigibles (the difference being that a blimp doesn't have an envelope skeleton), but yes - the idea, much as with heavier-than-air level bombers, is to fly so high that cannons (and most airplanes) can't reach you.
@@mostafaayman9664 Barrage Balloons. It's kind of like taking a naval mine and putting it in the air. Kinda. Basically, you raise a bunch of big balloons around something you want to protect, tethered to the ground by steel cables. Possibly tethered to each other by steel cables. It doesn't work against high flying planes, but against strafing or dive bombers, those cables are awful hard to see and will rip an airplane to shreds. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barrage_balloon
Thank gowd i am not the only one who remembers this game. I been trying to find it again for years but i didnt remember the name. Thank you so much for reminding me of the name!
Me too! I thought this game would have become forgotten forever to the whims of time in my memory, but thanks to this channel, I can finally play it again!!!
A few weeks ago I booted up the first game for nostalgia and because it's often in the back of my mind, both for the aesthetic and the vibes of the story once the later games open up a little more about it, so having this video randomly pop up is quite nice!
awesome, i remember I used to play flash games a lot and this is a nice bit of nostalgia for me, but also many games had at least a kernel of inspiration that really brought them to life
I use to love the game, but i did not really get everything since i could not read English. The main thing is that i did experiment a lot, and did really not get what the supporting towers or at least the furnace did. I don't remeber which game i played, the site i used had one version so i always thought there was one game. I used to love to make the small decoy balloons and make those tanky, but i did have it happen that my gun got destroyed meaning i could not do anything
Hello i like the comtemt a lot. I liked these flash games so much back in the day. So my recomandations toncover: spektomancer, strike force heroes, warlord hero, there are pthers if i remberber i write
I seem to recall a point and click adventure themed in this game world.
That point and click game was genuinely great, so sad that there was never a sequel to my knowledge.
The game is called the “Mary Reed Chronicles” if anybody reading wants to check it out
Automaton?
@@coaiemandushman1079 There was a robot companion to your main character, I believe.
it's SW: The Mary Reed Chronicles

Epic games!
On 1.5 I used heavy canons as shields, just upgrade hp :P
Those wall ships could be closest to air blockade balloons from ww2.
So you are telling me that somone actually used somthing like this how dose it even work

it's crazy that I saw no one do a channel about flash game until now and I really enjoy my trip down memory lane
I played this game like 20 years ago, but I still remember the music like it was yesterday.
I was squinting a the thumbnail wondering what it even was then the music kicks in and im a kid again
Damn, I just found this channel and I'm having a TRIP through my childhood days!

1:44 I mean, percentage boosts ARE multipliers. Just low multipliers below the factor of "2".

I don’t recognize this game specifically, but I immediately filed it into the same category as Arrow of Time. Love that game.
I feel like this game deserves a fan remake in a 2.5D graphical remaster
Ahh, there's that old memory. That's what this is.
Good video I had forgotten about these games
I remember playing the second one now. Thank you.
Keep up the good work, love the flash nostalgia

For anyone liking this i recommend checking out airship conquer the skies and airships lost flotilla
i got suprised by the hoi4 music 💀
Man I missed out big time. Just a shame some towers require you clikc so much, not going to be easy on the writs.
Stormwind is the goat.
Gold channel
Oh wow. I actually didn't know this one
Not gonna lie, Stormwinds could be an Great RTS like Homeworld or something and they could've done more with the World of Stormwinds
Do sonny 1 and 2

Tower Defence isn't dead though?
