I am VERY VERY familiar with that sound of the disk spinning down when it can't read, thank you younger siblings for never putting anything away properly.
Was probably a rental console. When I worked at Hollywood Video we would rent game consoles and would write numbers and info on them in sharpie in those places on top. Maybe they used the buffer to remove it. Also, some people would write their name and details on them in case they get stolen. Game crazy wouldn’t buy used consoles with stuff written on them also. Disc info is on label side, scratch the label and you destroy it.
I felt just as disappointed as you when the GameCube turned out to be nasty and junk. I hope we can see better from Lukie's in the future. You're really good at doing these tear downs and explanations. Off topic, my PS3 is already due to be delivered tomorrow. I've never opened and fixed a FAT PS3 but I've torn down a super slim completely and replaced or cleaned virtually everything. My plan is to make a video on repairing this PS3 you sent me. Can't wait to try it out!
Let me know how it goes and if you do a video be sure to link me! Im not familiar with the ps3 much. Never did anything with that console beyond just turning them on.
I do not go to retro game stores or online for retro games. I go to mama pop stores and thrift stores. The prices are reasonable and its fun travelling while being surprised on what you may find. These retro games online and in store are greedy as hell.
Yeah for me I can’t really go to any game stores because most of the good ones shit down in my town just visited this little store that opened last year and it was a POS owner wasn’t there even thought it said 11-7 but there are other games stores down my island but don’t have a vehicle and they are hours away so it’s a luxury to go to em so I mostly rely on eBay or lukie games which I’ve had no problems with
My local gaming store has super fair prices and the systems are all tested and in beautiful condition. I’m convinced they only take games and consoles in excellent condition.
Imagine if used car dealerships started saying all their engines were refurbished and didn’t do a single thing to the engine besides hose the outside down. It’d be nothing but legal battles.
I’ve given up on consoles and just emulate now. I’m not good enough to recap and replacing batteries and soldering leads. All systems are hitting that age and dying unless properly refurbed. I’m not paying that much for nostalgia. Thank you for informing the public how nobody really refurbs systems unless they are one person operations. It makes me laugh how many Kool-Aid drinking defenders you’ll get. I bought games from Lukie and they were fine etc. Apples and Oranges and most bought five years ago and think oh they never change.
Your a video game hero dude, it’s a good thing that you make these videos so that way somebody can watch this before buying from them and wasting their money.
Original xbox I ordered through them. Received it. The outside was emaculate. I opened it up because I'm working on mods for it, and oh boy. Dust everywhere thermal paste was puddy and so on. Since I'm moddibg the xbox, I took the time to clean it, but man, was I sadly disappointed. That being said, the games I ordered were all full with manuals , so that was a positive.
I believe the saying "You get what you pay for" mostly applies here with DKO/LG charging more than average. The labor it takes to FULLY go through a console is no small feat. Check for faults, open system, repair faults, remove dust, clean disc drive, lube disc drive, new disc drive belt, check major capacitors for ESR (mainboard, disc drive, power supply) and replace the ones that fail, check the health of the fans and lube if needed, change the thermal paste, clean all ports, test all ports, clean the exterior of the system to match the price point, check for faults again, run extended endurance test and preferably keeping a log of everything. As far as controllers go, open, soak all plastic parts, PAINFULLY clean by hand missing no crooks or crannies, replace analog sticks with high end replacements, replace cord. I'm 70% through 10 original Xbox consoles and it's a LOT of work. I'll likely be charging around $300 for the system, OEM restored/cleaned controller, OEM hookups. Will they sell for that amount? I'll figure out. But at least you can count on it actually working on arrival and for years onward. Most companies and individuals don't take "refurbishment" to this extent - even if it yields positive results. It requires a lot of time, knowledge and tools.
I'll say this.... you should be good with a game order...hopefully. The games I got look to be in great condition...can't test them though but you'll see why 😂
i probably wouldn't get a console from lukie games, but i will say i've gotten some ps2 games from them before and they were in amazing condition. The discs almost looked brand new.
Sorry to hear this happened to you! I just got an n64 that arrived today from Lukie Games, and it’s clean and works great. I suppose it’s hit or miss sometimes with these companies.
Unbelievable! Don't let those cowboys screw you over! The cheap Chinese gaming controller gave me an idea for a future video on noisy D-pads, which could help gamers be less distracted but fear ruining them.
I've recently decided to go on a franchise wide 100%/Platinum run for the entire Final Fantasy series. For this, I needed a PS3 for XIII. So two days ago I ordered a PS3 Slim in supposedly "GREAT condition" from Lukie. I sincerely hope there is some merit to that.
@@Mike-ye6xi About as bad as possible. They sent me an absolutely filthy PS3 with tons of damage and missing several rubber feet. No cleaning at all was done. Additionally, the controller they sent was third party, shipped loose and was broken. Broken plastic could be heard rattling around inside the moment I picked it up. The controller was in bad shape and it had sticky analog sticks. Maybe soda or something. The copy of FF13 was in great condition and was complete with manual. The game itself was resurfaced. No complaints on the game. There is a lot more to be said involving their customer service, charge backs and their deceptive marketing but I'll leave it here. Suffice it to say I will never, ever shop at Lukie again and I don't suggest anyone does. Shop anywhere else.
I have come across so many people trying to take down DKoldies and Lukie🤣 I have a website that we are solely dedicated to take down Dkoldies and Lukie, as well as some of the stuff on my channel. I bought a Sly Cooper game from them that was the final straw. Pretty much nasty like you say.
Man that sucks I used to order a lot game from lukie games all the time and never had any issues maybe one or two but the customer service was always so nice to help my friend but a Wii u from them a back in 2018 it worked just fine when he got it
Same here I’ve had no issues with them I’ve used them for 3-4 years stopped though a bit during the pandemic but am planning on buying some stuff again
That’s what I’m saying I told retro gamer that same thing I’ve ordered from them and had no problems my systems and games came in refurbished condition
The compound in the center could be any polisher for plastics or cars even. That coat is usually applied after buffering the crap out of glossy finishes to not show much scuffs or scratches
So, if DK Oldies and Lukie are bad at least from the few dozen reviews I've watched, where is everybody ordering from that is better? I've personally never ordered from DK Oldies because I find them to be overpriced or simply out of stock. However, I've ordered quite a few games from Lukie Games and never had much of an issue aside from a couple ps2 games that wouldn't read despite looking immaculate (which I suspect is a problem with my disc reader) and a few cartridges that I've had to do slight touch up cleaning to get to run which for me is not an issue. Also I've only ever ordered an NES (as far as consoles go) from Lukie and it played fine out of the box. It was dirty on the inside but I expected as much out of an almost 40 year old system, I cleaned it myself and moved on without thinking anything about it. However now watching these videos and peoples reaction to the quality of product these companies are putting out I'm very curious if I'm missing out on some awesome companies that are releasing legit "Like New" refurbished consoles and games that I would truly be getting my moneys worth out of? *edit I'm going to copy paste this to another page but I don't want you to think I'm spamming, I'm just increasing my chance of getting an answer.
Any time you have a GameCube that won't read discs, try just leaving it on for a while to warm up. The capacitors on the disc drive PCB go bad on these and as they get bad the disc drive will malfunction when it's cold. I had the same "NO DISC" behavior on mine that would change to a read error when it warmed up a little. Warm up a little more and it would boot a game but load very slowly. After about 30-60 minutes, fully warmed up, it would load games right away as if there were nothing wrong with it.
4:11 that is just imprint from the bubble wrap. If it was a little damp from using wipes when they packaged it immediately it could leave imprints like that from the solution if they used disinfectant wipes, or baby wipes.
Can you stop hitting reset when starting a disc. The Gamecube is designed to read it and you can hit the start button from the menu. Retro gamers know this.
@@davidb.6681 there is no boot. It’s the same thing. You either put it in and it reads it and starts the game if you put it in during the user interface and it starts the game. There’s no difference in the booting. What it was, he didn’t know it could boot from the menu.
daaaaaang, yeah if the top gets hit too bad and breaks through the art on the disc, it is often a goner, no matter how good the bottom looks. They likely have a resurfacing machine. This probably doesn't get caught bc they don't test, they likely go by how it looks or run it in the machine then assume it is good/send it out bc there are odds it might not come back either way. Name of the game if you're only about the profits and not about the customers.
Yep awful way to do business though. The discs I have do work though. I've kept those too just to test consoles because despite their awful appearance they do work without issues on the GameCubes I've tested over the last couple months.
Was once talking to someone who remanufactured car ecu’s and they told me at first they would open each up to test and fix but shortly found that 99 out of 100 nothing was wrong with them. They started just cleaning the outside and would send them out. Occasionally they would get a warranty claim and send the customer a new one. This was about 20 years ago, this is nothing new. Retro RUclipsrs just now realizing this is classic
I don't think that's the same thing though. I think with retro consoles it would probably be the reverse. 99 out of 100 probably need some level of refurbishing...whether it's minimal or significant.
@@OfficialChaseBrogan I would not even know what to say if I would have bought that GameCube, I would probably request my money back. I have been seeing a lot more 3rd party parts for consoles which is fine as long as the system works. That's insane.
Slap a picoboot or GCloader in that thing. But the disc looks brand new because they use a buffer machine 9/10 just like everyone else that sells games. They're supposed to clean it off with a solution after tho.
It looks like Lukie Games are doing good job to be competition to DKoldies that was one kind of experience...btw my gamecube is the same when it comes to running games but eventually game just boot up after multiple tries it's the laser problem
Year ago I bought stuff from Lukie games on thier ebay store and it was great. Sad to see them follow the DK Oldies model. I can get a better condition USED one at my local used game store for probably a better price
A month ago I placed an order for an original xbox and it was decent....not sure what happened here. I'll give them one more chance to see which way I should lean on Lukie. Maybet he original xbox was a fluke or maybe this one was.
I'm sitting here using my gamecube as an emulation machine, best of both worlds! haha If you get a gameboy player with no boot disc, that alone is reason enough to mod the gamecube. It kinda handles some n64 games well, w some slowdown, but you can pretty much run the whole GC library plus everything before the n64. It's a nice little unit to run with.
So if not lukiegames and not dkoldies… what IS a reputable company that actually refurbishes the consoles we know and love… would love to hear one thanks
You should definitely look into getting some of these discs resurfaced because the lasers need to work harder to read games if discs are very scratched up. More specifically that naruto unless you want to test the strength of the laser.
Yeah those were discs I got in bundles from goodwill a few months back. Both have worked well in 3 different GameCubes I've tested on over the last 6 months without an issue. I just didn't feel right selling the discs on eBay due to their visual condition so I held onto them purely to test consoles. I played through sunshine all the way and can verify that does work perfectly all the way through. Naruto I've never played only booted up.
Lasers do NOT work harder on scratched discs. Quite the opposite, the laser may power down to refrain from bad refractions. Bad refractions actually cause damage to the system, so the system MAY power down the laser to limit those refractions. Idk if game cube is made to do that though. I've never heard of any DVD player, disc drive, console, etc powering up. Just letting ya know bro! No hard feelings
You're right, I just got Tekken 4 and The Bouncer in the mail from them. The Bouncer is LIGHTLY scratched on the side, nothing bad, I can live with that as long as the disc plays perfectly. But holy daaaamn, when I opened Tekken 4... the disc was hanging out and scratched like crazy. I was stupidly upset that day, I hope they redeem theirselves with the copy they sent me on the way for Tekken 4, otherwise I'll never be buying from them again. I get they're used but give your customers decent stuff. Even the PS2 controller I got was terrible. My only good few purchases from them were Jak II, Shinobi, KOF Maximum Impact 1 and Ridge Racer V.
That's too bad to hear. I agree I think it's bad because they say great or very good condition on their stuff. At least for the stuff I bought. Event the Xbox I got that I was happy with when I thought about it more it cosmetically wasn't in what I'd called very good condition. That's definitely a stretch but I let it go. You don't want to be overly picky. I see some videos on RUclips and I'm just like damn this guy is really just looking to find something to complain about. Never want to be that way.
I got my gamecube last month, costed me 80€ and was so dusty, there was dust everywhere, i spent 2 hours cleaning it, no regrets because i always wanted a gamecube but Jesus retro gaming gets harder day after day
In 2014 I got a copy of Pokémon Sapphire for free using Luke Games rewards points. I bought a Gamecube several games way back then as well. Prices were great for all complete in box then. I wouldn’t buy from them nowadays with how insane the market is, strictly local deals for me. (Edit: it pains me to see a gamecube disc yanked off the spindle, push the center in like an eject button it recesses the three bearings and releases the game)
I unboxed the gamecube on my channel *not self promoting* and it shows im supporting it but I really tried to like it but let's just say I won't order from that company again. It works and not completely shrouded in dust im happy. I was very excited in my part 1 lol. Talking about DKoldies btw.
Self promote I'm totally cool with that man. I hate that so many RUclips channels are only looking to bring themselves up. I love when channels collab and bring each other up. I will be checking your channel out today! Update: checked out your videos. Externally it looks good man. Real clean from what I can see. Got to open it to know what's going on inside for sure. They are known to get everything pretty clean on the outside to keep people happy enough to not look further. Cable is pretty crappy to send a av like that. Looks like it was stepped on. Howcome no power cable? Did you just get console only? If so it shouldn't have come with any cables at all. If not then power cable needs to be included.
The waxy residue was most likely from brake cleaner. It's a really harsh product that really no one should be using, and there's some tech refurb channels that use it all the time and it's just not a good product to use on stuff that you actually want to last. It does an amazing just a making plastic, and motherboards shine but yeah just nasty. You just spray it all over whatever component you wanna clean, leave it for 5-10 minutes, come back and just wipe it off.
Yeah there's some ge gray plastic restore oils out there. Key is to use very little as it goes a long way. Especially when using on glossy less porous surfaces. They work great on ps3s and Xbox originals where the surface is less smooth.
I knew right away what the problem was when you put in that first game. The disc was not spinning. No need to try other games out at that point. Those fools only tested to make sure the console turned on, cleaned up the outside of it, and obviously did nothing more other then probably buffing those game discs. They seem to run their business exactly the same way DKOldies does. I'm so very disappointed because they were looking so good at first, but apparently that X-Box you got from them was just you getting very lucky. Rich and Jacob R had bad experiences with Lukie Games too. I think it's time to move on to another game store now. See if you can find at least one that is decent.
My recommendation to anyone watching this video is to find a local or semi-local retro gaming store and purchase your systems from them, and if it turns out to be a lemon system it's easier to resolve the issue with them in person. Face to face tends to either get a working system or your money back, or just a apology because they sold you a overpriced paper weight eh.
Dude. Buffing doesn't make it dull - it makes it shiny. The finish of this console and every black console has a dull matte finish (except for the OG PS3 and the one side of the OG PS4 and OG XboxOne). I'm surprised you seem unaware of this. Also, as you found out after using the cloth, oil will make a black finish shiny looking. Whomever was packing this probably just had oily hands. I'm thinking you must be padding this - when a nice looking disc doesn't play - it's your laser, hands down. You could have cleaned the laser with alcohol on a Q-tip. That's well known too. Nice guy but not very techy.
DKO: i think i wanna post shorts on RUclips and say a bunch of things i don't mean 🙂 Lukie: please don't, then they're gonna come after me too🥺 DKO:....i don't care about you, the consumer, nor my reputation. Let's go down together 🙃
I did clean the laser and took a closer look. Didn't notice anything but that doesn't mean much. Cleaned it and the q tip wasn't dirty at all. Since that's accessible from the top I would think they wiped that down as the rest of the inside when opened was cleaned well. hard to say without diving into it deeper but with what I paid for this and the "very good condition" that was said on the listing I'm not interested in diving in any further. It's off to UPS for my return/refund. I will place another order though for something else to further test lukie gams. They are 1-1 for orders. I'd like to at least see what the next console looks like so I know which way to lean with Lukie.
My OCD is getting triggered looking at fingers touching the bottom of the disc. It's in terrible shape, but I've seen worse from DKO they had rusted consoles.
Makes me think that the Xbox was a fluke and happened to be in great condition when they bought it. Some console owners have clean consoles and may have done cleaning or refurbishing before selling their stuff to Lukie games. At this point, I’m assuming Lukie games doesn’t actually open anything to clean or refurbish, and just like dk oldies, they just resell consoles in whatever condition they arrive in.
Very well could be what happened. As they say a dead clock is still right twice a day. They're 1-1 going to probably try something else out. Will have to have a friend place an order though as they could just look for my name and info and then take extra steps to try and do better with my next order. Still want a GameCube but I feel like maybe I should try a different console with them.
Either the laser head, or the transport mechanism isn't working. Definitely only external cosmetic touch-ups. Hope they refunded you right away. Thanks.
Dude i ordered a gamecube from lukie games. It was shipped and i came across your video and got scared. My gamecube got here and SAME ISSUE. Absolutely ridiculous.
Also what you don’t understand is that Lukie games resurface there games that’s why you see like a white marks on it in the middle also you need to clean the laser but getting a swob and clean that up it’s easy to do
I am so glad I am more into collecting books than retro consoles. I have my Genesis with a flash cart and my emulators. That's all I need. The retro scene is in a sad state of affairs and I don't think it's going to get any better.
Very true. It's unfortunate to see because all these retro consoles are old so we should be preserving them as best we can not doing the bare minimum or they won't be around 20 years from now.
@@OfficialChaseBrogan Yeah it seems like Lukie Games and DK Oldies could care less about preservation. All they care about is money. They honestly probably see these old machines as junk which is just sad. They are most definitely hurting the pricing making these products less accessible.

I'm starting to think this is just down right Malicious, It's about time they bring in a standard for the term refurbishment and a certain level which needs to be met to gain a refurbished certification
You'd think with all the crap DKO is receiving for these same practices, Lukie would try and do better and get AHEAD of anything people may be able to say about them and compare them....Guess not, SMH..
Wow! They didn't even test the GameCube to see if it worked. You should get your money back and Never buy from them again. That GameCube was the most dirtiest GameCube I ever seen. On top of that it doesn't even work. How much did it cost you? 🎮🎮
$150 plus tax and shipping...for refurbished....that's not a bad price. The 3rd party controller at that price isn't great but typically you're over $110 these days for a gamecuybe but likely comes with a original controller. I have 4 original controllers still so I wasn't too concerned and knew I was getting a 3rd party here.

Maybe they used the buffer to remove it. Also, some people would write their name and details on them in case they get stolen. Game crazy wouldn’t buy used consoles with stuff written on them also.
Disc info is on label side, scratch the label and you destroy it.
They sent you the worst Gamecube they had in their warehouse just to get rid of it. Wow.
Awful
I've never seen a GameCube take so long to fail reading a disc, usually I see it go straight into the menu then loads in
Great video. I won the Xbox you put up on ebay. Thanks for the charity work with St. Jude, they do good things.
Thanks! Awesome to hear that! Glad you won and yes happy it went to a great charity.
I subscribed to your channel after getting recommended DKOldies videos and stuck around cuz I enjoy your content.
Awesome, thank you! Really appreciate your support.
You are welcome and what song is your into? It vaguely sounds familiar and I just wanted to know.
I recently bought a copy of a factory sealed Mario 3d land for 19.99 and it was in GREAT condition guess the condo,es are really bad though.
Your a video game hero dude, it’s a good thing that you make these videos so that way somebody can watch this before buying from them and wasting their money.
I still have my Gamecube since release and it is still in mint condition, its crazy for me to see so many beat up consoles.
It requires a lot of time, knowledge and tools.
im ready for this i just ordered a few games from lukie games so i cant wait hopefully they do better...…..but one can only hope lol
That seems to be the case for the games received here as well however I can't test to verify.
How did it go?
@Bird That Knows What's Good I just wanted a copy of lego lord of the rings since they took it out of digital stores hope I have some luck with that
I have come across so many people trying to take down DKoldies and Lukie🤣 I have a website that we are solely dedicated to take down Dkoldies and Lukie, as well as some of the stuff on my channel. I bought a Sly Cooper game from them that was the final straw. Pretty much nasty like you say.
Looks like a kid just finished eating a whole bag of tostitos pizza rolls and then thought the GameCube was a rubix cube they couldn't solve
lmao
lmao
Woah. That's an early gamecube with the "No Disc" text being in a pink colour rather than purple. Those aren't too common.
IKR?
Man that sucks I used to order a lot game from lukie games all the time and never had any issues maybe one or two but the customer service was always so nice to help my friend but a Wii u from them a back in 2018 it worked just fine when he got it
Same here I’ve had no issues with them I’ve used them for 3-4 years stopped though a bit during the pandemic but am planning on buying some stuff again
That’s what I’m saying I told retro gamer that same thing I’ve ordered from them and had no problems my systems and games came in refurbished condition
Well did they ever claim it was “refurbished”? If it works but the case on the outside is dirty I don’t see a problem really.
Plexus and lemon pledge are pretty good at cleaning plastic without screwing it up. We use both on plexiglass aircraft windscreens.
The compound in the center could be any polisher for plastics or cars even. That coat is usually applied after buffering the crap out of glossy finishes to not show much scuffs or scratches
I have been buying from them for years just got my Sega Genesis from them on Monday it was in very good shape.
Happy to give them another chance. My pay order was decent as well.
Mario kart on SNES and N64 were awesome, but double dash on game cube was the freaking best.
4:11 that is just imprint from the bubble wrap. If it was a little damp from using wipes when they packaged it immediately it could leave imprints like that from the solution if they used disinfectant wipes, or baby wipes.
I noticed that they are charging $87 for Batman : The Video Game on Sega Genesis
That's insane. You're better off just emulating.
That checklist was good AF
Can you stop hitting reset when starting a disc. The Gamecube is designed to read it and you can hit the start button from the menu. Retro gamers know this.
@@davidb.6681 there is no boot. It’s the same thing. You either put it in and it reads it and starts the game if you put it in during the user interface and it starts the game. There’s no difference in the booting. What it was, he didn’t know it could boot from the menu.
I've bought my GameCube from GameStop back in 2009. Still in good condition
I think they might have even given it a clear coat that hasn’t blended on it. A Dulux overhaul if you will lol,Excellent channel by the way!
Thanks so much! That could be!
daaaaaang, yeah if the top gets hit too bad and breaks through the art on the disc, it is often a goner, no matter how good the bottom looks.
Let's gooo lol, I know what I'm watching this evening.
👍🏻👍🏻 thanks for the support on here
@@OfficialChaseBrogan Thank you for making the amazing content.
Wow was the gamecube buried in a children's sandbox and then dug up a week later that is disgusting especially at that price that is unexeptable.
Absolutely
I have an original Gamecube, purple, here but put away because I love emulation and there is no wear and tear on my consoles when you emulate.
100% agree and with emulation you can kick up the graphics and make major improvements in most cases
@@penguinjay I've got a modded Wii U and it does Gamecube and N64 perfectly. Does Sega Genesis, TurboGrafx, Atari, all very well.
I like your tattoos dude they're genuinely really sick
Thank you!
This is why I stick to eBay/Mercari and local ma and pa retro gaming stores.
So if not lukiegames and not dkoldies… what IS a reputable company that actually refurbishes the consoles we know and love… would love to hear one thanks
Have yet to find one I was thinking Lukie was good initially but this GameCube situation has soured that.
@ 7:56 You read my mind. I was just about to post the same thing you said. The use of a Magic Eraser.
Yep that's what all these "refurbishers" love to use!
FYI, for GameCubes you push down on the central spindle to eject discs. Just saying...
I have had great luck with games from Lukie, but bad luck with controllers. Never bought a system without doing so in person for this exact reason.
Greeting to you RGG.. i can´t watch the live Video today, because tomorrow i fly to London.. best wishes to you.. "see" you in a week..
Enjoy your trip!!
@@OfficialChaseBrogan It came with the power cables and every thing and thanks for the compliment on my channel I appreciate it!
You just spray it all over whatever component you wanna clean, leave it for 5-10 minutes, come back and just wipe it off.
when u put in disk 2 and u hit the reset button the GameCube did not restart?
My GameCube from lukie games came fresh, hit or miss 💯 I think 💭 because of my name.
The coating is something lime pro shine or insta shine made by spray way
Tech reviews USA got a console off lukie games and was also packaged by "A F" and also wasn't fully refurbished
"Magic Eraser Everything" - Video Games Stores (Somewhere)
People sometimes to restore a really beat up system will use oil to get the blackness back. I had to do that with a grey PS3 that I bought used
Yeah there's some ge gray plastic restore oils out there.
Spoiler alert: Most of these gaming RUclipsrs aren't really into gaming, it's just an easy way to make money.
That's called "magic eraser" and it makes the console have that finish lol
DKO: i think i wanna post shorts on RUclips and say a bunch of things i don't mean 🙂
Lukie: please don't, then they're gonna come after me too🥺
DKO:....i don't care about you, the consumer, nor my reputation. Let's go down together 🙃
Did you clean the lens for the laser
@Retro Gaming Guy
I advising to check the laser. The laser could be damage, Worn out, dead or Scratch.
Please reply back please.
Thanks.
Maybe the silly puddy was to hold that cracked part in the caes?
yeah it seems to be a hit or miss i hope lukie takes note
Could be from a magic eraser since they all love using them on the consoles instead of just some simple all purpose cleaner and a rag
Never understood that. You can literally see the coatings coming off on the magic eraser when you do it 🤦🏼♂️
Dude i ordered a gamecube from lukie games. It was shipped and i came across your video and got scared. My gamecube got here and SAME ISSUE. Absolutely ridiculous.
Also what you don’t understand is that Lukie games resurface there games that’s why you see like a white marks on it in the middle also you need to clean the laser but getting a swob and clean that up it’s easy to do
Isn't the data on the top of the disc label side so it doesn't matter if the bottom shiney side looks immaculate?
No the side that is read is the bottom. That's why all those cleaning and resurfacing machines work on the bottom
I’m a emulator, simply cause I can’t afford retro systems. I tried it’s too expensive. I sold them all bought a good pc
And I emulate now it’s much cheaper you can buy game codes pretty cheap online
And there’s cool handhelds you can buy to transfer you games like the rp3
Honestly looks like I would get ripped off trying to collect now days anyways
So like someone said up in the comments
God bless emulation 😮❤❤🎉
Totally agree I'm an emulator too that's most of what I've done on this channel as well
Interestingly , on their website right now at least all Gamecube conditions are listed as Used , not refurbished .
Very interesting that's new I was just on there the other day and ti said refurbished still
i bought my n64 from dk oldies and was impressed ...i bought various used xbox one games from lukie games and they were in great condition...of course the n64 purchase was like three years ago..so maybe i beat the point where dk oldies stopped caring...a gamecube was next on my list but ill take my chances on ebay this go round..thanks for this vital info
They cleaned it with a magic eraser, and alcohol causes it causes it to go dull..
I'm starting to think this is just down right Malicious, It's about time they bring in a standard for the term refurbishment and a certain level which needs to be met to gain a refurbished certification
Also another question, is your background a backdrop or green screen???
Green screen
I have 4 original controllers still so I wasn't too concerned and knew I was getting a 3rd party here.
interesting i saw one positive ps2 unboxing from lukie or your xbox 😊
Yep the original Xbox was decent that I did a month ago but this is another story unfortunately
@@OfficialChaseBrogan ouch so basically a hit and miss i saw one person unbox a ps2 or ps3
Can you do The Game Island? They seem pretty good
Sure!
