Damn that looks like a ton of fun! I couldn't help but notice how much the shifter was jiggling about, pretty wild!
I could see you instantly pick up speed and rhythm from the 1st to 2nd run and then nailed it really well on the 3rd. I was thinking 3rd gear possible for the middle section too but that definitely didn't work out.
It's just amazing how well the car seems to rotate on the dirt and with some rally tires and a lift, you turned a street tuner car into a mild off-road hoon machine! Seems like you'd definitely want a bigger lift, some softer shocks and springs for when it gets really rough though. Still did really well, great driving!
Taking your own daily driver street car off-road like that is real dedication to the sport. Congrats on using it the way you want to.

A few of those bumps hurt - BRZ felt 100% on the drive home, it's a champ!

Great video, as always! For anyone who may be curious in the comparison, I just posted my in-car video from the other BRZ on my channel. While I still street-drive the car to the events, my car is no daily like Chris’ is. Mine is set up deliberately for RallyX, so Chris did. amazingly well to be as close to my times as he was! Cheers!

PLEASE REACH OUT TO SUBARU FOR ALL OF US AND CONVINCE THEM TO MAKE A PRODUCTION VERSION OF YOUR BRZ "WILDERNESS" AND TO ALSO DO A WRX WILDERNESS - THE PRODUCTION VERSIONS SHOULD DEFINITELY HAVE LONGER TRAVEL SUSPENSION TO HANDLE OFF ROAD AT SPEED. DOING THIS WILL MEAN PEOPLE CAN HAVE COOL CARS THAT ARE STILL FUN AT LEGAL SPEEDS!
THIS IS ALSO A GREAT EXAMPLE OF DRIVING TO SHOW WHY THE WRX SHOULD HAVE HAD A CIRCULAR STEERING WHEEL AND NOT A STUPID D-SHAPED ONE

I loved watching you race the Lifted BRZ like this, but the more I watch the more I don't want to put my car through the punishment. Maybe tarmac autocross, but even that looks like it can be hard on the car. I think I am going to go all in on vicarious racing.

I recognize they're glowing beacons to most, but those cones are so hard to see for me. At least the course is clearly dug out for the most part.

Why did you choose the Falken Wildpeak A/T Trails and not the AT3W, or the Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015s? Would be good to have your take on all terrain tyres and comparing them, particularly for WINTER conditions.

It's hard to say, definitely depends on driver and conditions - both of which are highly variable throughout the day and sessions! But I'd say all things considered they're about even, in the right hands.

@alexandram9477 this is a great take which I hadn't considered, I genuinely appreciate it.
I think the only issue with that being there are better, more capable awd competitors available specifically for rally cross, albeit maybe not for the same money. Value is all subjective.
@@canasian6975 true but I believe in rally RWD and AWD are different classes? Lia Block is competing and doing well in her 1st gen BRZ. I just think it's unrealistic for people to treat pretty much any factory production Subaru as a road race car, the engines just aren't designed for sustained high Gs, it's a cheap flat 4 engine, Porsche spends a lot more to make their's semi reliable on track.
Looks a little awkward with the lift kit and tires but the blue color just makes up for that.
