    Jumbo Shermans are packed as 2 in 1 type of kit. Italeri is really good manufacturer, i never had any major problems with their kits.

      Yeah, I realized that they do the 2 in 1 for the Jumbo. Need to source a few more for my son. Italeri is fantastic. I'm looking at some of their other Battle Sets. Thanks for watching!

      I got this set yesterday (Christmas) I like it but I don’t like how I didn’t get a landscape but it’s alright the hard thing was that there was no paint that came with it so we had to match at my local hobby lobby but I like the set sadly I’m sick as of right now so I will wait to build it

    I think this is a cool set. Does the signage come with a decal set too?…Maybe I missed that in the video? I really like all of these Italeri battle sets….cool idea and neat details. Thanks for posting. I enjoy watching.

      It's been so long since I did this unboxing, I'd have to dig it up to be sure. However, I don't recall any signage for the building included with this. The building that's included is the same Italeri Kit that Warlord sells separately as well.

    Have considered purchasing this set as the BOB is my main interest in WW2 but would have considered for the price they would have included a base to build the diorama on. I definitely think that the revell winter/late war figures are a better choice though. As the US forces were the defenders in this battle would have thought they would have included US artillery pieces and maybe more than one tiger model. Would recommend the prebuilt Airfix resin buildings if you are constructing this type of late war diorama.

    • @WarGamingNewbHistorical
      @WarGamingNewbHistorical  3 года назад

      I'm only guessing here, but they probably didn't include a base as it's also one of their "Wargaming Approved" kits so it doubles out for wargames as well. I'm just happy they included terrain as, in general, starters don't have that. The other "Wargaming Approved" diorama sets come with more terrain, in MDF as well. Maybe they should reconsider labelling these "diorama". Thanks for watching!

      I had the same problem with landscape to build it on but I just decided to use something else like cardboard instead but the hardest was paint my hobby lobby didn’t have it and I don’t know where to buy it too so today I had to match my paint with the box.

      It's my first foray into doing Bolt Action with a different scale. I think it was this box set that got me to pull the trigger. AND THEN, I found out Italeri has a number of these 1/72 Battlesets....I mean, how am I supposed to afford all of that goodness on top of all the other hobby stuff, lol?

      @@thatwargaming5459 I guess the easiest would be to get some basing. I got the Army Painter Snow basing material (to be honest, it's just white sand). I'd get some mud basing (like GW Stirland Mud), then pepper it with the Army Painter Snow base. Alternatively, you can get Liquitex Natural Sand (it's paintable), cover your base with it and some tiny basing rocks, then paint with white and dry brush some grey. Hope that helps.

    Nice job. I have been playing Bolt Action with the standard 1/56 kits Warlord releases but have been thinking of moving to 1/72 to make the table lol a little less crowded and the distances look a little better. Does anyone have experiences with both scales? Is there a big enough difference to warrant it?

    • @WarGamingNewbHistorical
      @WarGamingNewbHistorical  3 года назад +1

      Hi, first off, thanks for watching! I really appreciate it. To answer your question, I do not have any personal experience playing at 1/72 scale (yet). I'm working on finishing this Bastogne set up, getting other 1/72 scaled buildings and models and plan to play on a 4x4 table. But, you'd be surprised how many in the BA community play at 1/72 scale for the very same reasons you mentioned. As soon as I'm done with the Bastogne project, the kid and I plan to play a batrep and test it out. I also have a few other 1/72 videos in a playlist (Bolt Action 1/72 Project) if you're interested. I appreciate the comment!

      I like 1/72 you can make a nice board with both armies on them. Some even go to 1/100 but I find too small but good for large battles. 1/72 is a good size definitely give it a try.

    There is an error in the drawings in regards to the wrecked house. The wide part of the of the cobblestone base is different then the drawing. The holes do not match up.
