Also every time I do the slot machines at the casino the slot machines themselves are enough to crash the game like literally I would spin the machine and the slot machine would just spin around indefinitely and you cannot leave the session or get up from the slot machine, you have to close the game to restart. That is another bug I found.

And keep in mind that some cars can be purchased in your AutoShop , especially with a second car lifter , such as Comet, Futo, Schafter V12 (not armored tho) and Riata. And also Progen GP1, but that's rare. And most of those cars still can be carjacked from streets and parking lots, like I did recently with Benefactor Serrano (SUV with visual upgrades). The best part about this update is that all of my phone calls are glitched out now and the dialogue doesn't play. I've been begging for this since day one! (One day, DarkViper will learn to simply spawn in his Agency where he can get snacks, body armor and ammo all in the same room!)
I fully agree that the Facility is terrible. That DLC is terrible and the Doomsday Heist is terrible. He needs to stop thinking of the Facility as "his base" and learn that it's all about resetting spawn points. Resetting spawn points would fix 90% of the problems he's experiencing. Need body armor and snacks after a mission? Reset your spawn point for the Agency and get everything right there. Don't like that an activity has a cool down timer? Reset your spawn point and enter a new lobby, watch that timer basically disappear! Unless of course it's more fun to complain about something you know is broken. It is kind of hilarious to see a grown man smack a desk like a child when he realizes the thing that always happens in this game is going to happen again.
@@elvispressplay7735 i agree and draw similar joy from his anguish but have a shred of sympathy. i went the spy role so only have the facility, bunker, hanger, and import/ exports warehouse. no agency. the lack of armor is just the life of a spy....
He has an Agency though. So the minute he bought that, he should have burned the Facility down (in his mind) and switched everything over to the Agency. The Agency was literally Rockstar addressing issues that players had with the game. It gave us a home base with a multilevel car garage, snacks & Body Armor available in the same room, and it gave us multiple worthwhile ways to make money with or without a group in any session we like. Plus we could upgrade a decent number of cars with Imani tech and stop other players from immediately pummeling us with homing missiles! The Agency is where it's at.

11:37 Grand Turismo music in my Grand Theft Auto games is my idea of ecstasy. Matto, tell your editor to give me a call. so, they reused some missions and vehicles, added one jet and one car, and force you to buy an Avenger. Hmm. If GTA 6 is $60 I'll buy it, but I'm counting on you for all future DLC, Matto.
Watching Matto fly jets or really anything for that matter is hilariously frustrating to watch, I'm far from even being a decent pilot on GTAO but I could write a short essay on all the mistakes he makes while flying, it's a silly gripe I know but his flying is so scuffed it's hilarious
Isn’t it the PC controls? When flying planes for my PC, you use the mouse like the left stick but it DOESNT hold with left click like helicopters do it’s the stupidest thing. Constantly shimmy the mouse to do a loop. It’s why I have to switch to controller for planes.
I wonder if this was meant to be what became Doomsday before they got into all of the futuristic stuff, like the general outline and later just recycle all the content. It almost also feels like it should be an extension to at least Smuggler's Run, if not also Gunrunning, given references and similarities, not to mention they're all extremely Trevor-centric if Ogg hadn't left. Sometimes I wonder if Ogg stayed and the storywriters had their way, what Online would be looking like right now; I wonder how much infighting there is between writers themselves and the writers with the other teams, just because Online genuinely seems to be all over the place.
Considering the animations/cutscenes Doomsday was most probably intended for single player. Your team is literally absent in most cutscenes. Given the scope of Doomsday I don't think they cheaped out on some character placement points when virtually any other, more garbage DLC, managed to.
@@nailil5722 The way I see it, they don't make sense in execution, some of which stems from other issues, but in premise they're pretty easy to make sense of. Just look at relevant characters and concepts, and it's easy to piece together which sphere of influence of Trevor, Michael, Franklin, and Lester, whether or not they were meant to be directly involved or if it's an alternate character. For example, a lot of Trevor's sphere of influence would've been Gunrunning, Smuggler's Run (this one is directly related to Trevor via Ron), SA Mercs (especially if this was the original Doomsday before they went the killer AI with retro-futuristic vehicles route), etc. Michael would've been part of what Doomsday became and Arena War, given that Michael is now a producer, the retro-futuristic and Mad Max themes, along with the various references, make sense for Michael-esque content. Franklin is similar with the music, car, etc. side of content updates, as he became the CEO figure. Lester makes sense for the tech side of things, i.e. how AW and DD vehicles exist in the game, yet he just became the token heist guy. Then the 'alternate character' statement from earlier, being Ron, being English Dave, Solomon, etc. Then outside of that there's minor and side characters, like what Cayo introduced and how it played out, various other figures seen throughout the updates, etc. Everything can logically be pieced together if we look at Online as post single-player with an emphasis on the continuation of the story. Of course there's a _lot_ that I haven't touched on, but you should get the idea. Whereas the execution has always been fumbled. The fist issue is starting Online as pre-SP, the second issue is the very slow rollout of actual updates, etc. Then there's the glaring issue of Ogg wanting nothing to do with the franchise. There's also clear writing issues, which could only really be explained if you're internal to the team. I personally think it's partially a miscommunication between writing and devs, with multiple projects going on simultaneously, while TakeTwo is also pushing for updates to get released while also pushing for monetizable updates, of which this would be compounding issues that would actually explain a lot. Take the utter disconnect of Gunrunning and Smugglers run as an example, these two would otherwise directly go hand-in-hand just like how Casino part 1 and 2 worked, yet they didn't for seemingly unknown reasons; one clear issue was Ogg being gone and not wanting to reuse Ron, but another issue that explains this is the theory of multiple projects and miscommunication, if not an outright disconnect, between various teams working on updates. The writing isn't necessarily bad, but is entirely misguided, and part of that would stem from team A not communicating with team B. To further this issue, some projects clearly got put on hold for a very long time, and the shuffling and cycling of various teams would've impacted this, I think this is why Drug Wars was so bad when it otherwise should've been Bikers part 2, massive time gap, shuffling of internal talent, the obvious missing Ogg situation, etc. Then on top of this, TakeTwo is putting all of their dev talent on monetizable features, which is why we're seeing so much recycling of older content, of various interior being repainted, of entire SP missions being reused, etc. I genuinely think there was a planned out timeline of updates involving the four main SP characters, it was just getting those updates pushed out in a working fashion while also introducing the customizable Online character caused teething issues, then those teething issues snowballed into multiple projects that otherwise seem heavily incoherent in execution; then put TT's greed on top of that. I also have a theory that Online was never really meant to last this long, if you look at the theory of what otherwise makes sense for an Online timeline of coherent updates, the updates that introduced unrealistic vehicles would've been the start of the end leading into 6's release, not a situation where you stretch out this hellscape over six years later; and you get into the other issues when you artificially stretch the lifespan of constantly-updated IPs, which compounds with what was made previously. Think of it as if Online was meant to be a sequence of stories following up single player, rather than the disjointed mess we got instead, where the absolute end was the overpowered broomstick because there was nothing left in the pipeline within its natural lifespan. Things just make more sense this way. All of the SP characters get their post-story stories of having their own little empire played out, the various stories intertwine in an indirect way, etc. It shows how Rockstar, and mostly TakeTwo, absolutely fumbled what otherwise made sense for a variety of reasons. It also explains why we don't have 6 already, why there was a massive spike in power creep in updates, and why the content otherwise is an incoherent mess. We can also see why updates themselves were a mess to begin with, why they took so long to properly get features and stories rolling out, etc., because even within 5 quite a bit of content gets cut, with the most noticeable being slight inconsistencies within the stories themselves which is touched on in parts of the SP mission tier list video. The studio and publisher just fumbled so many things along the way, and while SP remained fairly cohesive minus some questionable cuts, Online took a fairly hard hit from the constant fumbling; and while TakeTwo is probably a lot of the blame I do think that R* just has terrible managerial capabilities, especially if you look at the early days of Online and how that shitshow went. It's less of 'they don't know what they're doing' and more of they have bad management and bad direction, they (the writers, devs, etc.) know what they're doing within what they know to do, but if they don't know the direction they're meant to be going in or don't know that update 1 from team A is supposed to be coherente with update 2 from team B, etc., then they're not to blame when everything ends up being an incoherent mess. I think the earliest storyboarding was entirely coherent, but various delays, splitting workflows, TT's greed, etc., got in the way and it all snowballed into incoherency. Things just make sense when you take out random new characters and replace them with the original characters we know would better fit that spot, Lester being the heists and tech guy, Trevor being the drugs and guns guy, Franklin becoming the CEO figure with connections to the streets via Lamar, Michael being the movie producer, where Lester got the bulk of what was meant to be with Franklin and Lamar getting some attention as well, Trevor is dead due to Ogg stepping out, and Michael is MIA; then of course the minor and side characters, the one-offs like the FIB, IAA, and Merryweather stuff, etc., everything at one point was so easily coherent but it's easy to see where coherency was lost. Which also gives me abysmally low hope for how 6 will turn out, especially with a lot of decent talent no longer being part of the company, and what kind of shitshow 6's Online will be if not mostly a copy-paste of what 5's Online currently is.
It was from the Doomsday update that we lost all the DNA of the Online mode. I feel like as of 2017 it wasn't the same people leading the art direction of multiplayer anymore with the addition of futuristic vehicles, laser weapons, your character becoming an Avenger who is involved in conspiracy missions and saving the world. And it loses all credibility. Rockstar should have stayed focused on the criminal underworld and not taken liberties like this. We feel that they themselves are stuck in terms of ideas and can no longer implement simple updates, and always go into extravagance.
Worse of all, my top 5 favourites like Hakuchou, Ruffian, Coquette, Feltzer and the Vader could no longer be bought fromm both Legendary Motorsport and SSASA as I am a recent new player for GTA Online for four months. Also this update really disappoints me so much that I kinda hate Rockstar a little...
It feels sad when even an edited down version of this DLC feels incredibly boring, I swear the only thing interesting about this DLC is the fact that it removed an insane amount of cars and created like 3 or 4 bugs that delete vehicles
6.43 really appreciate the need for speed most wanted reference that rockstar put in the game. "we are getting reports of dangerous driving outside the donut shop, the vehicle is a black cobalt ss."
4:19 damn Matto's editor at with the initial d references as usual, rider of the sky by ACE is an amazing song, one of the best from 5th stage, good choice
LMAO i never expected a Lycoris Recoil scene from Matto's channel. must mean he's a man of culture!! Edit: never mind, its his editor's that are men or women of culture.
I do love the game, I personally have around 7,000 hours played which are all online on PC as I only played the story on PS3 and I always hold out hope that the next update will be better. It's sad, because the things that are added are clearly made with atleast some enthusiasm or passion and I don't have any disdain for the developers as despite bugs now and then, the game has a absurd amount of content, all of the vehicle scaling must be tiresome as hell to code but the vehicles do always feel they handle as they should and are fun to customize and drive, the guns feel powerful and unique when using them and the optimisation of the game is outstanding for it being an open world online game even though it is a 10 year old game, it runs on just about any slightly modern PC and still looks and plays great. I can't imagine being a developer for gtao and you try so hard to make fun things for the game, but are then told by higher ups to do something that's anti fun to counter it. What I do hate is that there seems to be a huge disconnect between rockstar, or whoever at rockstar is deciding content releases and the playerbase. It isn't the people creating game content for gtao then pushing for it to be removed from the ingame stores, I feel I see a lot of people complaining about the devs but they're not the ones forcing this, it's the marketing department and shareholders at rockstar. It's just sad, as a player that does enjoy playing and will keep playing that the content that's being added is kind of pushing an exclusivity model -- hey the car I wanted is now in Simeon's, but I'm 1m short. Better buy a shark card -- it's disheartening. Yes I could just grind content, but at the end of the day me grinding that content and buying that exclusive vehicle will just mean I drive past someone in the game who's also 1m short and decides buy a shark card because they can't be bothered or just don't have time to grind the content. I understand that rockstar needs to make money from the game somehow but punishing players that have no interest in paying for things just to be a walking advert to the players who are willing to open their wallet for a shark card is just absurd. Not to mention that you spending time grinding in the game is just another number to add to the current gtao playerbase, which also acts as an advert for the game - which would be excellent if the future of the game wasn't the model I have just mentioned previously.
Sometimes I question if it's Rockstar's fault for not giving the player clear enough instructions, or if it's our fault for not being able to figure things out ourselves.
Frankly I would say the latter. I've seen it in other games that are pretty much all about exploration and figuring shit out and many people for some reason enjoy skipping it all and just going through with a guide. Games these days are already so handholding most of the time but apparently it's needed, I just wish that more games would have an option to disable handholding properly. On the contrary I would blame rockstar for not allowing us to figure things out most of the time. Despite being a result of the time, the openess of former titles turned out to be good game design. And now it's more and more on rails. Often the parts that are slightly more interesting are replaced by cutscenes. Like flying a slow chopper across the map and not even get to land it and things like that
@chaosmagican you can definitely make the case that the game itself does a poor job of explaining things to you, though. But yeah, GTA 5 is so scared to let you figure things out, and when they do things like this, people are confused because the rules are inconsistent.

I love people, who keep saying, that the update removed more content, than it added. You know, it didn't do anything like that. It added content, but all old content, that was in the game prior to the update is still in the game. Yes, it was made unavailable with some limited returns and stuff, but it's still physically in the game. There's also still some ways to get it, like the Autoshop, sure it's limited, the Autoshop doesn't give you every of the almost 200 cars, that disappeared from the websites and it also depends on luck, but it's still something. If R* actually physically removed those cars from the game and they disappeared from your garage, content, that you've paid for, then I would understand. But that didn't happen, did it? There's difference between removing content (and yes, that's essentially what you've said by comparing it to adding stuff "removes more, than it adds", that's your words) and making content available with limitations. First one is deleting stuff from the game physically, second one is removing it from the selling websites, but still making it available by other means, like Autoshop, Casino Lucky Wheel, Car Meet podium, or the two dealerships in the city. I just love, when people spread misinformations for no apparent reason, only to hate on R*. I'm not a big fan and I could complain myself, because I'm even more limited with my country banning gambling, so no Lucky Wheel prizes for me, but I'm not doing it, am I? Is it a dick move from R*? Yes, it is. But it could be much worse, if they really did, what people say they did, which in fact they didn't. So yea.

Honestly, the one thing I liked about the update was getting to see canonically that Merryweather has basically been kicked out of LS.
I mean, they were canonically kicked out of LS at the end of the single-player story way back in 2013, but then Rockstar decided to make Online.
6:43 Brooo i love how I always imagine this car whenever I hear Cobalt out of nowhere, ahhh the memories😌
The best part about this update is that all of my phone calls are glitched out now and the dialogue doesn't play.
I've been begging for this since day one!
(One day, DarkViper will learn to simply spawn in his Agency where he can get snacks, body armor and ammo all in the same room!)
true, but he is still correct that the lack of body armor at an IAA facility is super suspect.

Given the scope of Doomsday I don't think they cheaped out on some character placement points when virtually any other, more garbage DLC, managed to.
the online storylines don't make any sense. I tried to follow through with the lore but it's all nonsense. I don't think they know what they are doing
@@xaytana fair point
It was from the Doomsday update that we lost all the DNA of the Online mode. I feel like as of 2017 it wasn't the same people leading the art direction of multiplayer anymore with the addition of futuristic vehicles, laser weapons, your character becoming an Avenger who is involved in conspiracy missions and saving the world. And it loses all credibility.
Rockstar should have stayed focused on the criminal underworld and not taken liberties like this. We feel that they themselves are stuck in terms of ideas and can no longer implement simple updates, and always go into extravagance.
Seeing the Lycoris Recoil Meme pop off, makes me so happy you don't believe it.

Well said mate

6:43 I love that reference!

i love the part when the already flawed af gta online gets an amazing update that totally dosen't remove more than it adds😀😀
So yea.
Ngl that jet dogfight part was hype af. Mostly because of the editing and the song choice of course
Im glad rockstar is making an attempt to ground the game in reality again. Although the choices they're making are strange to say the least
