To clarify!! This was filmed April 2024. At that time, we were the only foreigners/tourists to have done this. Many people have gone to Afghanistan & posted videos since. Our videos do not take 24 hours to edit. This is part of a 10 year series. Just because someone posts sooner doesn’t mean they filmed it sooner. That’s all for my RUclips production Ted talk 😅 Thank you so much for your support on this new series! See you in the next video when we stay overnight with the taliban in bin laden’s secret city.

As an Afghan, it was an honor for me to host the TFIL team in Afghanistan. I must say that the conditions during which I was interpreting were quite challenging, as this was the first team from the United States to have such a program with the Taliban.
In this situation, translation was not easy, especially because the conversations were full of jokes-many of which are impossible to translate properly. Ginger, Elton, Jerry, and Martti are some of the coolest people on earth. However, the Taliban made some jokes that didn’t suit or make sense to other cultures, so I had to convey them with different meanings.
During the dinner with the Taliban, I made more jokes and tried to change the topic, laughing to show them that we were not politicians. This helped make the Taliban feel comfortable, and I knew how to handle the situation.
That was the toughest part of our journey. I hope everyone enjoys the TFIL videos, and I apologize if there were any misunderstandings along the way.
As a tour guide, I’ve done many rare and unique things in Afghanistan for my guests.
    ❤❤❤

@@ashnoori1006 I am a Pashto speaker, and I should clarify that the Talib has a great sense of humor. He talked and joked in a manner exactly how an open-minded person would do in his friend circle. The fact that he included Gengir in his jokes (what makes you call flirting and shameful), and that he didn't respect her as we do to women in our Pashton culture, is because her husband and the rest were also open to it and were not treating her as a Pashton girl (i.e. she was not made to set in a separate compartment for females in the hotel, she was not asked to stay away from the strangers, etc). Furthermore, I did not hear of any inappropriate words he used, if you heard him using any stupid or shameful words then surely point out that part of video. I would be glad to translate.

    A MESSAGE TO ELTON!
Been anticipating this one! This Afghanistan series has been extremely eye opening and I just want to say thank you! Elton as a fan of you for your entire career thus far, this has been a phenomenal experience watching this videos. You truly are opening the eyes of the world and showing people the true beauty in every single inch of it. My goal once I start posting more real and lifestyle content, is to collab with you on one of these adventures! If that's ever a possibility for a very small channel like mine that literally only posts Stranger Things theories right now lol, you would truly make my dream come true. I ALMOST met you once actually, at the very last Warped Tour in Tinley Park, IL. I was gifted a ticket by one of my best childhood friends because she didn't want me to miss the very last one. I was struggling, no money at all, and she made sure I was there. We walked through the merch tents and all of a sudden I saw the Send It Society tent in the distance and like a little baby, I literally started crying because I had been a fan of you for years and completely forgot that you guys were on tour for Send It Society. I ran up to the line, got in, and then realized that everyone was waiting so they could buy something.I jumped in line just to try and meet you lol. I then realized that everyone was ready and prepared to actually be in that line and show support to you by purchasing a shirt or merch item. Then I remembered I literally had a single dollar bill in my pocket and was only there because my friend bought my ticket. I didn't have anything to my name, and nothing to show you guys support if I made it to the front of that line and was standing in front of you. All I had was myself, and the person I was back then, in my mind, that definitely wasn't going to be good enough. So I did the one thing I wish I never did, and still regret until this day. I stepped out of line, and walked away from the chance to meet one of my biggest inspirations I've ever had. So long story short, if you actually see this and read the novel lol, let me make amends with the mistake I made, and give me that opportunity to meet you, experience one of these life changing trips, and help me let the world know who YOU are. The world needs to know who's making it brighter!

9:39 teared up when I saw this. Been watching overnight for years & never imagined I’d ever see an explanation of our prayers ever being on this channel. So fitting especially with the genocide going on & the years of propaganda against muslims. This really solidified how genuinely kind Elton is for the research he put in & his openness to learning about our culture & beliefs. The comments under this video really make me feel hopeful that there are indeed so many kind but just misled people out there. Thank you for opening your hearts and minds. I’m an Afghan/ American who came to the U.S. 39 years ago during the Russian occupation. I’ll try to translate the important question that was asked but unfortunately the interpreter couldn’t accurately translate that answer that was given.
“While there’s political reasons why U.S./ NATO came to Afghanistan to capture or destroy OBL/Al-Qaeda but we know that the West had bigger plans to steal our rich resources (lithium, copper, and other valuable minerals) but they can’t easily do that unless they destroy our solid belief system which is Islam. Since Islam gives us a solid foundation, we can’t be slaves to the West, dollars and materials/ worldly possessions. The bigger plans were to come destroy our culture then implement western culture and convince people that their culture is better than ours so when you’re fully onboard with the western culture then you yourself will freely hand over all your riches/ resources/ minerals. He also gave the example of how Saudi was systematically somewhat colonized to give their oil to the West and how the West benefited from their oil and now slowly the western culture is being implemented in Saudi…”

I really wished things didn't change after you all left. This is such a positive and wonderful experience. It kind of reminds me of that song "Christmas In The Trenches" where people from opposite sides, put aside the fact that they were on "opposing" teams and had a perfect night of peace, laughter, and kindness. If only this positivity could have continued into the new year there. Even with all the bad in this country (Afghanistan,) right now, I am going to continue to hope things get better, and one day, the country will open itself up to the world. It's so incredibly beautiful, and so much history to learn about, and the normal citizens in general seem amazing.

iraqies are also our brothers and if you served knowgly that you were wrong then its the same thing. The taliban would have seen you the same way if you served in iraq or afghanistan.
