Hi girl! I know how you feel. I’ve been there and was diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder. I’ve had it since childhood. What helped me besides prayer was looking up guided meditation videos for anxiety on RUclips. I trained myself to get in that state. They teach you how to breathe and relax. I’ve also been to therapy. You will get better. Remember this is only a temporary feeling. It goes away. Thank God. I hope you feel much better soon. You will. You got this♥️🙏🏼

OCD, anxiety, depression, drinking, gambling and any other psychological/mental issue...is ok! However when you can't get through your day because of your issues or it takes over your day or you can no longer control your mind, its time to get help. There is stigma with getting help, but it's ok!! It is ok to get help!! Millions of people do, everyday. Counseling, therapy, medication. Whatever it takes to get to a happy place 😁 there are so many resources out there for anyone and everyone ❤

This is my testimony. I suffered from panic attacks bad. To the point we’re it was taking control over me and had to go to the hospital and take anti depressants. I would always ask GOD why me crying. When COVID hit it was worse. I started to commit to GOD and pray. One day I had it and with all my heart I ask GOD to speak to me and to take this away. GOD spoke to me and told me do not be afraid everything will be ok. The next day and on I have this peace we’re in not even worried or suffer from this panic attacks. Put your trust in GOD. Give your burdens, worries, pain to him and he will take care of it.

Girl I struggle with pretty severe depression and anxiety, and I 100% have a lot of those same feelings. Self doubt, negative self image, rapid fire anxiety thoughts, feelings of worthlessness and despair. One thing I always remind myself is that, I’m currently just feeling a feeling, and it will pass. I’ve also gotten pretty good at replacing negative thoughts, at the exact moment you become aware that you’re thinking about whatever/whoever you don’t want to think about, just replace that thought and consciously change your mental focus to something else that’s positive. Like your dog/cat/babies, noticing how beautiful the sunset is, praying, pulling your phone out and watching the Alexisjayda YT channel! You hold the power to take control of the remote and change the channel! I hope you’re feeling better sweet girl!! Love you!! 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤

As someone who suffers from crippling anxiety, it’s not easy to get yourself out of those episodes with just words. It’s a lot easier to say than do but just take things day by day. Each day set a little goal for yourself and just start accomplishing them and before you know it you’ll be more motivated to tackle the bigger things once you see how much you did in baby steps. I've Never heard ANYONE explain it so well. Im so glad ur sharing this with us; You are not a burden. You don't sound crazy. I feel heard& Hear you. It's like being naked in the snow& everything ur doing is wrong. Suddenly were raw, unveiled, ¬hing feels right. Stress& Exhaustion are BIG factors for me& it's Flight, freeze, get everything done right now or wtf JUST BE. Every moment drenched with doubt& guilt& held under magnifiers that no one can understand.
I think it's PTSD related. You were having a good time, away from homebase. Too good, ur inner child whispered. Seeing the determination w the claw, did you envision &feel different futures/risks within a blink?
Our 🧠 subconsciously "waiting for the other shoe to drop," or something to happen is an idle panic that once meant many diff things. that only then we'd really express ourselves, felt freed, became that emotion, or forgot them all. We were too young for our 🧠 to adapt endlessly, yet they needed to& they did.

Really quick, I struggle to comment on here ,especially, relating to mental health because of the negative thoughts that i have that it may not go well for whatever reason. But @AlexisJayda you story has really help me and if I can help just a little, I'll put myself out there. Struggling with depression, mood swings, anxiety, and social anxiety I always struggled where to start. Nothing really worked, UNTIL I read "Be you, only better" by Kristi hugstad. It walks you through steps and explains why the steps are important and the science to back it up. Its has really help me. I am now reading the book with my 10 year old and helping him have a better start than I did. And I will also start reading it with my boyfriend and my 24 year old step-son, who saw my struggles and now see I'm doing better. I hope it will help you. Blessings and pray sending your way.

Alexis, when you find one of those "normal" people can you let me know? I've heard about them, but in all my years I haven't seen one in person yet.
I think, personally, they don't exist...I would rather learn or be entertained by a realperson. Someone who knows what REAL anxiety feels like, knows tht it's not a "cool" disorder to have, if that makes sense. It's hard and then we have to deal with real life at the same time???!!!!! That is a snap back torealitythat I can't hide from. My bills are still going to be due anxiety or not, right??
Don't be so hard on yourself, remember that THIS TO SHALL PASS.
Much love and let me know if you find something that helps with overthinking....I'm still having a hardtime with that one. Maybe everyone could put what worked for them on different things and we could pick and choose what we want to try.
Heres some things that help me...journaling longhand. Just sitting down and writing with my pens (i have pens) lol. Playing with makeup and/or doing my hair. Just a couple to start things off.

I really hope you see this comment and I hope it could help. So when I was in therapy my therapist taught me a trick that really does help in times where I'm going into a panic attack or intrusive thoughts. One is to literally say in your head over and over again a phrase you can remember or lyrics to a song even just saying STOP over and over in your head. The other is to draw a box in your head and then count each corner while holding that picture in your mind. So counting, 1,2,3,4 while you're picturing going from the first corner, to the 2nd, and so on. Saying lyrics over and over works really good for me! Mine are....STOP in the name of looove before you break my heart you can even do both... sing the lyrics in your head while picturing the box. I don't know why but it gets my mind off of what I was thinking. It takes time and it doesn't fix it but it does help me a lot! Having such a great #fambam helps too! I'm so glad you were able to share what you're going through. So many of us are going through it and never say anything! You're amazing, and we love you❤

Anybody else who LOVES this type of video, for me it makes the connection feels even more real, like we are friends, just like having a chat, because you are talking to a camera, and I'm on the other side responding in my kitchen as you can hear me, I think entering in a new era brings this self-reflections, happen to me at my 30s too, I've been reading a fantastic book called easy way to stop drinking by Allan carrs and is terrific it actually does wonders, I also struggle a lot with overthinking/anxiety my mind just doesn't stop, but I have found that relaxing smooth jazz as a background noise helps me a lot no to overthink and keep my mind focus, and if I'm having a really bad day with my anxiety I listen to a guided meditation by SILVA METHOD | Alpha Meditation Practice & Visualization Meditation it helps me quiet my mind so fast, and taking 15 mins of sun every day. Hope this can help any of the fambam

I feel this in my soul! Everyone I've talked to lately has been saying the same thing. Maybe something with the planets is going crazy right now, but it's a real struggle. The things that help me are trying to stay busy, self care as much as I can and writing. For me, writing has always been a way for me to get out of my head. Some people like painting, some like sewing.. Find a thing that you're good at that keeps your mind occupied. If you're in the middle of a bad anxiety attack, splash some ice cold water on your face. If you can, dunk your face in some ice water. It helps, I promise! Much love to everyone struggling, it gets better. It always, always gets better. 😇🙏🏻🙏🏻💖

I have similar Anxiety, and it’s exhausting. I can’t even sleep because I think so much, and then I keep dreaming about what I was thinking. There’s a lot of other stuff too, but I feel you. Some things that help me:
-Go outside, alone. Take a breather. Lay on your back somewhere outside (I lay on my daughter’s trampoline) and just close your eyes and breathe. Focus your thoughts on the wind, the sounds of the birds, etc. This especially helps when I’m so overstimulated with my thoughts and my environment. You can also take a little walk with your hands behind your head and breathe.
-Create simpler tasks to get done. Something simple and practical everyday. That way you can feel like you’ve achieved your goal, and you can feel like you can do something like sit down and make your video without so much guilt. For example, if your goal for that day is to wash the dishes or do one load of laundry, then only do that one thing and feel accomplished. Doing one simple thing is better than trying to do a million things and getting overwhelmed and ending up with a mess (one of my struggles).
-You can also look up music for anxiety and depression on RUclips. Once again, when I’m overwhelmed, I go to my room, lay down, and listen to the music. I’ve had moments where I’ll even sit in my closet alone with the lights off to just relax and calm down.
I know it may sound silly to others who don’t suffer with these things, but I’ve found that these things actually help. And don’t forget to train yourself to talk nice to yourself and be your biggest advocate because you deserve it. I know it’s hard to think that way, but keep trying. ❤

This is the best mantra for when you feel overwhelmed or stressed. I have used it for many years, and it actually works.
The next time you feel a Panic Attacks, just put your hands on your heart and say:
"Even though I am afraid, I love and accept myself."
Do this mantra dozens of times a day and repeat it silently. Please let me know how this works out for you. Best wishes to you and your family, and God Bless.

Hi love!!!! Anxiety and depression can be a lot.. I’ve struggled with it for years and it’s like sometimes I will be good for a while and then that funk hits me … my biggest supporter is my bf and I know from the way you talk about him your hubby can be too (or probably already is). When I get in a funk I do a lot of self care and allow myself to let go a little. Eat those unhealthy foods, buy that shirt you don’t even need, know its okay if I let the dishes I just ate off wait a little. But also I try to pinpoint what is giving me anxiety and ask myself okay so what if that happened.. for example you’re scared of asking someone a question and the worst they can say is no but at least you pushed yourself to ask and now you know the answer vs if you never asked you’d never know. Allowing yourself to be okay and come up with a solution when the outcome you get isn’t what you wanted helps. Ilyyyyyy you’ll get through this❤️❤️❤️ we are all supporting you 🥰 btw I would loveeeeeee to see you doing your beauty room!!!!

I also have ocd & most of us get different themes & I felt close to offing myself until I came across a video speaking about the ocd theme I was dealing with. You should share about your ocd as much as you want bc it’s an important topic. It can saves life’s fr. I do think it’s important to research about it though bc ocd looks different for many of us, it can get really dark & have taboo themes around it especially for those with trauma, the ocd can latch on to those topics. some of us are in recovery, some of us are debilitated bc of it on a daily basis. I had a point where I couldn’t be alone, I couldn’t work & sometimes couldn’t feed myself for nearly 6 months (Now I am almost fully recovered from those themes and functioning normal again! Yay!) Some of us never had a job from how severe it is. Some of us were able to function & aren’t aware of all the different themes of ocd. So yeah, education & awareness on it is awesome! The “Im super clean & organized 😋” stereotype is harmful to us & many never get diagnosed bc of it. I encourage everyone especially with ocd or a family member with ocd to learn about it. It comes with other symptoms too like anger issues, sensory issues, can affect social skills, & many other things. It tends to have high comorbidity with autism & adhd & the symptoms can overlap as well. I hope you feel better ❤️‍🩹

I'm watching a specific series rn on Netflix that has nothing to do with mental health. But literally last night me n my boyfriend were watching it and the main character was going through something and started having panic attacks for the first time in his life and didn't know what was wrong. He went to a therapist and she told him they wouldnt stop until he accepted certain things. GIRRRRLL, watching the show gave me flashbacks to when I was with a toxic ex who was abusive and cheated. I went through that and NEVER knew because it happened to me when I was really young. My mom took me to the doctor cause I lost a lot of weight and he assumed I was forcing myself to throw up but I didn't know how to explain the feeling. After moving on from all of that, I've never gotten one again. Here and there I go through funks as well and get anxiety, but we all can get through it! I know you have a good support system with your fam🤍🤍

My advice is to remember to be kind to yourself, it's easy to start pushing yourself too hard/bullying yourself into toughening up, and we deserve kindness and patience, and sometimes we don't give ourselves that. Also, just continuing to combat negative thoughts with the truth, and not allowing them to fill up in your head. Encourage yourself, and remind yourself of how powerful and strong you are. This is what helps me ! I hope it does the same for you

It could be a multitude of things. Family talking about you getting older. I know I have to tell my family “hey it triggers me when you mention how I’m getting older, if you can refrain from talking about it because it can send me into an existential crisis.” There’s also a lot that we consume whether it’s through social media, tv, books, etc that can be contributing to that anxiety. Maybe try to do a day where you do a spa day. Or look into a trauma deep tissue massage to get all that trauma out of your body. Then you can truly try to heal fully. Idk ma just a suggestion. I love you !!!! Praying for you 💓

Honestly, I just got influence by my bf and his brother& girlfriend (not to say they forced me or I blame them) they just chill & they are like daily drinkers and I don’t want that for me anymore. It always was just like yeah, one and then one became two and three, and then I would end up dunk or tipsy. I have just distanced my self from them & it’s kind of hard because we are neighbors lol I just want different things now. Also happy my bf went to west Texas to work in the oilfield so he is no longer drinking like he us to.

But circus circus is such a fun time for the kids ❤ also.. meds have helped one of my loved ones. I had really bad anxiety before as well, but I started paying attention to the things and people who were around me when my anxiety would hit the worst and I started to get away from those specific things or people, Yes even family. Nature helped me so much, I realized the sound of waves relaxes me and feels like it cleanses it all away. I found places away from home where I could take walks, pray, think and breathe. Long drives alone also helped so much. Finding MY people, the ones who can relate and have similar stories to mine helped me feel like I belonged somewhere and slowly I went to having to take medication for anxiety to not needing it anymore. Now when it hits I know something or someone toxic is causing it and I remove myself immediately and it’s all good. It takes so much time and work, but it gets better if you put in the work that is necessary. ❤️ you got this !

I also am my worst critic and I love the fact that you are as open as you are because it makes people like me feel not so alone. You are an amazing person. Just take baby steps, breathe and know that you are okay and will be okay. I write in my journal a lot whenever I’m going through things or find someone to rant to. I myself need to stop drinking because I’ve noticed that it makes my anxiety way worse than it’s ever been. So thank you motivating me to do so and to stay on track. I’ve exercised, meditated, journaled and did therapy and nothing helped. I’ve been on medication for almost 3 months and it’s made a huge difference. Ik it’s not for everyone but it is something to look into. I’m not perfect and have to break my old habits but overall I’ve been doing better. If you’re doing all the steps and it’s not helping, maybe that is an option to look into. I love you girl and things will even out and get better.
