- This week I was back on the cone carrying out repairs and clearing cobble & resurfacing. John Brian & Noel from the volunteers helped me out.

As a 65 year old I have tried to do the reek 3 times but only got the the start of the cone and stopped each time as it was to difficult. But at Easter this year due to the new steps I managed to do it. Without the effort of the guys and women who built the new path I could never have do it. All I can say is respect and Co Mayo is the best county in Ireland from the Mullet to Louisberg.
That is awesome, reason enough to have carried out the work right there

Good Lord, how many times have you gone up and down that mountain while doing this work. You have got to hold a world record and be incredibly fit. I think you are half goat man. 😂
