Thank you J and L. I have always loved these models. Never even sat on one, but love them just the same. I have seen a 6080 4WD with a cab sitting in a driveway in northern NY for more than 15yrs. It’s too far away for me to inquire about. I just drive by wishing someone would take it to a good home.

If these had Allis power director transmissions and Allis designed pto's, they would have been legendary

If they'd had a Power Director, Allis-Chalmers would've been in allot better shape.

We had a 6080 That little 4 cylinder combine engine had to work damn hard to make that 83hp claimed. Worst of all it was only half an Allis Chalmers. The front half was AC while the back half was Fiat with everything from the bell housing back metric sizes. it was easy on fuel but the 185 could run rings around it.

We've got 2 6000 series on the farm the 6080 has been with since before my time 2wd open station she gave her last breath running a manure pump fan belt broke while we were milking I'm currently looking for a new engine and factory cab for it the other is a 1984 6070 factory cab with fwa and a loader she needs lots of help bought it as a project and to be my loader for the dairy if allis would have used their own pto and used the 301engine they would have been even better in my opinion even if the 6080 would have been the only 301 powered in the line up I do really enjoy the little 6000 series

Are you interested in any CaseIH VHS dealer tapes? Got quite a few (30-40) covering from the mid 90's to mid 2000's I have no way of playing them and would like to move to a new home. Located in SE-Mich not sure if you are close, but let me know if possible

always tell my Friends that are around machinery I am Allis and a Massey Ferguson guy too bad they renamed Deutz Allis I showed on of my friends a picture of an 8000 series tractor he said I have seen one of those before I said they are not common around here and I hear they are reliable he said well the owner at one point wanted to sell it but he chose not to because it has been a reliable tractor. I said that is cool

Now, don't read the manual, leave the pto in gear all the time, with the pto clutch pulled in all the time. And whine about thrust on the crank.
