i may or may not have stayed up unitl2 in the morning finishing my box. it took me around 6 hours of on and off procrastination but this tutorial was amazing!!
Thankyou so much! I was in charge of learning how to make these and show people how to make them for a school dinner, you made it so easy to do so. I changed it slightly to be a little more simple by not adding pouches or anything.
thank you so much, i just made this for my niece for her 2020 graduation. This was not as hard as I thought it was going to be, I was concerned with no talking, but i muted the music and got to work. Turned out amazing.
Awesome.. glad you liked it.. do tag me if you are on social media would love to see. My new videos now have voiceovers.. this video was at the start of my craft career :)
Oh my soul! This is such a great tutorial! And I love the box. I am so doing this as a wedding box for my son's wedding. Thank you so much for sharing!!
@@KhyatiKothari For sure! So excited! I've been SCOURING Pinterest for tutorials as I've never attempted this box before, so I am extremely thrilled that you shared a video!!!
WOW. Khyati. I've started on my box. Your instructions are AMAZING! Done 2 of the layers so far. Will continue tomorrow. Cannot wait to see my finished product.
Khyati Kothari Can we add waterfall card, accordation box etc,. to this explosion box? if yes, could you please make a video about it with the measurements that would fit perfectly in this box?
+Aadil Zaki hi, I will definitely work on the same.. may take month or two for the video to be created and make it live as I am not a full time crafter.. but I will definitely give it a try ☺️
Really cute!!! Thank you!! I will use your tutorial to make my own (if you want I can send you the video of the project after it's done). ;-) Dominique
Excellent. Watched your video for the first time. Can you please tell me which paper can we use instead of these sheets and is this simple chart or any specific card sheet that is used for exploxion box?
Hey Asmita, Thank you so much for your lovely words :) Yes I do sell them. Let me know if you are interested. You can message me on my FB page facebook.com/ItsMeKhyati/
I loved this video because it only had 3 layers instead of way too many to fathom! I did add lids to the smaller boxes and I don't think I am going to glue the boxes down. Has anyone tried not gluing the boxes to each other. I need some advice! Thank you!
Khyati Kothari , I see your point. Since I made lids for the other boxes, I think they will hold together okay that way. I so appreciate your video though. I just followed it step by step and finally made an explosion box!
@@KhyatiKothari I also have another question. As for the middle layer, how come it's constructed differently compared to the other two layers? Would it be ok to make the middle layer the same way (just different dimensions) as the other two (which are made the same way just in different measurements)? I wanted to ask before I make another. Thanks again for your help!
Cardstock is just thicker paper. The regular paper that you get in stationery shops atleast in india is thin , so go for something thick around 250 gsm will work. Just ask for thicker paper in your local craft or paper shops
Hey khyati can u tell me from where did u buy that card stock paper because in retail shop near me they give normal chart paper if i asked for cardstock paper
Thank you..the glue I used is Fevicol which is similar to aleenes school glue or any other school glue you get in US or UK, this is something which is easily available in India
+cherylfaith ranoco I have used items as below Black cardstock Patterned paper - I have used enchanted blooms by Craftangles Some ribbon Clay molds and flowers for decorations Printed quotes on white card stock
+Bondoc Ivan Paul: Putting layers on side flaps would make the box unstable and difficult to close. You can create as many layers as you want though but make sure they are added in decreasing order of size on top of each other. The largest layer at the bottom and smallest on top
+sanskriti suman if you want your box base to be let's Say 6" as compared to the current one being 4" then you will need 6×3 = 18" sheet. Then let's say you want inner box to be 5" then you will need one 15" sheet and so on. Hope this clarifies your doubt, feel free to let me know if you have more doubts

You can use any paper of your choice, the black cardstock I have used has thickness of 250 GSM it's not regular chart paper as that is very thin

Thank you, if you don't glue the box everytime you close them you will need to close them all together and add one inside another
Khyati Kothari , I see your point. Since I made lids for the other boxes, I think they will hold together okay that way. I so appreciate your video though. I just followed it step by step and finally made an explosion box!

I love the card!!! Your tutorial is so very helpful!! (And, I thought the music was nice:)). I did want to ask what kind of glue do you use?
Thank you. The glue that I have used is an Indian brand called fevicol it's regular school glue similar to Elmer's if you are in USA

Sure you can construct it exactly the same, I just wanted to add some variation to the design
Great video
+Johnnita Kallok thanks so much ☺️☺️
How many 12 by 12 cardstock youve used?
I have done 3 layers so 3 cardstock, the lid is much smaller than 12by12
