Staff are super freindly & helpful 😊😊😊 its unreal value for money for Accomdation considering how Expensive everything has become since Covid..... the Zanzibar is a stone throw away lovely spot for a drink & staff are Excellent... Beach & main strip is ten minutes walk from Castillo beach Apartments & we never or ever heard of people breaking in too our Apartments. All in all id give Castillo beach Apartments 10 out of 10 & we will be bk soon............
We stayed in the Moon part 4 years ago, called it Pukey Pool as there was what looked like sick left there for a few days, and no bar at that part, just behind the Tropical Bar. We were told we could use all the facilities but the gate to Tropical bar was always locked so our son (who was small enough at the time) would climb through the wall and open from the inside. We’re going to Lake in Feb. £390 for 5 days just me & the Mrs including flights & accom. It’s a great base and cheap. Looking forward to it. Really appreciate the video & room review, can’t wait to be back. Zanzibar, Nestors, Step Inn 🥘🍺
You know wot some people want 5 star at 1star .as long as its clean and everything works have a bloody good holiday ...you wouldn't get that in England
Never fancied the Canaries to be honest, but this place looks ok. Basic but clean. I understand that roaches are a problem but the same in Ibiza, where I lived for 14 years, it was overrun with them!
We go here two times a year normally January and October. We only pay about £180 each for a week sometimes 10 days. The weather is amazing and it’s a cheap and cheerful holiday. Everything beach shops cafe’s restaurants in walking distance.
Me and my husband stayed there the first time we went to Fuerteventura. I think it was 1998 or 99. It was one of those last minute deals with unnamed accommodation. We had a brilliant week and it was very well priced. We had a hire car and just used the bungalow as a base to explore. We never seen a cockroach. The only thing that bothered me was the lack of air conditioning as we went in July and it was sweltering heat. Apart from that, it was a nice, clean base for us and I thought it great value. I do remember a Spanish restaurant and I think it was part of the complex and the food was good. There has been a lot of building up there since then and there seem to be a lot more bungalows and apartments over what used to be called Chipmonk mountain. There was a little train which ran down to the main town and sea. I’m not sure if it still runs.
@@markjackson5333 I’ve never been to Lanzarote. I would recommend Fuerteventura if you want quiet resorts and nice beaches. There isn’t much night life compared with the other Canary Islands but that’s a plus for me. I would recommend car hire if you like exploring. It’s really cheap in Fuerteventura and easy to drive there.
I lived in Fuerteventura for 15 years and miss it. I moved to Mainland Spain, 3 years ago, after selling up in Fuerteventura. To be honest, there are more cockroaches and rats here than I have ever seen. Summers here at night are unbearably hot, unlike Fuerteventura, which are pleasant. Lastly, much more pleasant people in Fuerteventura.
Been there about ten times love caleta de fuste. JUST REMEMBER THE THIEF'S COULD BE YOUR NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOUR... MUCHAS GRACIAS AMIGO BEST REVIEWS YET LIAM IRELAND. 😊
Hi Deano..the ceiling fans probably need balancing with small weights..easy to do with small pebbles and a bit of sellotape..for the length of your stay..😉
We stayed from 2016 till now every year at barcelo el castillo beach club, yes there can be roaches but rooms are clean, staff is friendly and food is good. Houdes are aging but thats nothing strange. All by all we still love it and its a great, beatiful and big resort
Just spent a week here. Some of the bungalows seemed to have been modernised and some not. Our bungalows is very outdated and in need of several repairs. I found a cockroach in one if the kitchen presses. Its our last full day tommorow and we've not had house keeping once. No fresh towels or bed sheets. Bins full too. I wouldn't stay here again or recommend it. You got a much much nicer bungalow than I have. It's like a time warp to the late 80s.
You were lucky we had it all when we stayed. Plus a few extras ie; mould on the walls the smell in the bathroom was unbearable, blood on the pillows, urine stains on the very old couch. Also cigarette buts everywhere, piles of rubbish all over the site.
Hi Deano , we live 12 miles from Bristol airport UK & I understand the annoyance ! The airport uses our town as a turning point for waiting planes to land , some seem to be so low you can almost see the pilot . Not funny is it mate . A
Apartment and complex look very good. I usually stay in Corralejo if in Fuerteventura, but haven’t been in a few years prefer Lanzarote. I have noticed this place is very cheap! Trip advisor put me off but it was planning Fuerteventura again would maybe give them a go. Thanks mate for showing us. Enjoy your working holiday 🍺
I also think that due to the fact it's so windy there at times, well most of the time, people do not place their rubbish in the communal dustbin properly, tied up in bags as they should, so what happens is rubbish gets blown all over the place, believe me the residents have a lot too answer for .
Wow that place looks amazing. I don’t know if you mentioned it but how much does it cost? I wouldn’t mind the break ins etc. if you take the proper precautions. There’s chancers EVERYWHERE. Unfortunately. I’m loving this vlog Deano. Keep them coming. 👍
@@philipmckeon8944 proper precautions ? What ? Like Alsatian dogs patrolling day and night, snipers on the rooftops, close down the airspace ? Joking aside I thought this island was classed as relatively safe to holiday in as regards crime so this comes as a bit of a surprise.
🤣😂🤣 great reply. I thought you were serious for a second but I enjoyed that. Unfortunately you’ll have chancers everywhere even at home. Have a good one mate 🌲☃️🎉 and happy new year 👍
Been going for as long as I can remember to Fuerteventura been to a good few hotels, an tbh mate ur probably better eating out anyways comes cheap enough aswell if u don’t mind pub grub etc, loads of good bars with nice food trafalgar is probably one of my favourites
Stayed here lots of times it's cheap and cheerful but I discovered Egypt and would never go back to the canaries or Spain as Egypt accomodation is superior and cheaper and no calimas last 4 times in caleta de fuste calima struck big time no sun just dust 😎
I used to stay here until last year. You are staying in one of the nicer apartments. Not all of the apartments areas are gated either. . your review is disregarding the 7 robberies in one week at this complex. Go stay in the apartments opposite the complex restaurant ... 😅 You'll see the real side of Castillo
Exactly. The whole thing looks like a soft PR-stunt. It's 10x times more watched than his other Fuerteventura videos and the comments are mainly positive 😂😂
Loads of places to get food on the beach but if you go just around the corner there is a couple of complexes dedicated to food and drink. I went to a few in some other videos in the playlist

£180 each with flights so £300 to £340 for a week to 10 days with flights
That looks OK, the fixtures may be old but they are clean and working.

The central part of Caleta is worth a revisit. Its a great place, We have been several times.

@philipmckeon8944 you seem like an absolute idiot. People like you shouldn't be allowed on holiday you should just be put in a cell. Fool.
Is the any irons in the bungalows?
To be honest with you looks nice and clean them fans are bit scary lol love Spanish supermarkets the cleaning products are much better ❤
Looks better than the Hotel Costa Caleta I stayed in at Christmas and I'll never return to that hotel.
I stayed there for 2 weeks in March 2020....2nd night there they went into lockdown and everything closed.
It actually looks nice. In UK I can get a tiny old room with small bathroom, for £100 per night if I am lucky 😂
Not even mentioning the weather.
Was there in September. Food was wank. Had to eat out everyday. Didn't get robbed and it was clean though.
Yeah, i read that the All Inclusive food was a bit bad

Just in case I missed it, thought I watched it twice, where do you tell us how cheap the room was, like you said in the intro? Ta
Yes was thinking the same thing!! Watched the video for the price of a property with robbers and cockroaches!!
It was part of a package holiday, worked out about £25 a night, but i'll be doing a video breaking down the cost of the whole trip very soon.
£300 for a week thats with flights you pay for what you get
