    I never comment but this was truly so helpful! I was able to organize myself prior to starting and never had to refer back to the booklet. This was great! Moving on to part 2 next!

    Thank you so much for this video! You saved my life today. I just moved in to a new house and lost the manual for the bed. When I thought all hope was gone and I would have to figure out this puzzle all by myself, I found your video and it is really well instructed. 100 thumbs up for you! Cheers mate!

    Hello PP FaltPack, Thank you for the amazing video. I was able to assemble my bed following your step by step guide.
    I have observed a slight variation (may be updated) where at 15:04 you mentioned that we need to screw slats at 12th position from both left & right but the hand guide says it is 14 & the number of screws also not enough for fixing all 4 slats but for only 3 ( at 2nd slot from left & right & 14th slot)

    Thank you very much for this but my version has one less of each type of slat and we only put three in with screws, the rest to put in with plastic. Took me awhile to figure that out since I didn't look at the original instructions (bought it 2nd hand).

    Thank you so much for making this video.
    I’m like hard core on assembling IKEA furniture. This one and the assembly paper made me a bit angry. I have assembled a LOT of IKEA furniture and this was the most difficult ever. The assembly instructions were a little off. Normally they are really easy to comprehend. This one was awful. The Brimnes bed is very popular because it can be used in any room or even living room.2 could have gotten a used one but my kid wanted a black one..
    Missing parts is not an issue with IKEA, and so is too many parts. Unless it’s the wooden plugs, there is always one or two extra.

    Our pull out section with the wheels are not flat. Is that on purpose? The middle part is slightly higher than the left and right

    The holes in the extremities are not positioned like yours. All holes in the rail will get screws in the middle only. No way I can have the ones on the right/left the way you have.

    • @akehapkap6143
      @akehapkap6143 8 месяцев назад

      Mine was exactly like this, but we bought the black version. It’s probably not as popular, so it stays longer in their storage. The black was at the same price, at least here in Norway.

    • @akehapkap6143
      @akehapkap6143 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@JnoPrdsobviously the upgrade must be frustrating but I don’t think they ever made an upgrade. It’s the same ole Brimnes daybed.
      I think you made a mistake. You must use the manual first, RUclips videos last.
      I just bought my Brimnes bed, and it’s exactly like this video. I made so many mistakes and misunderstood the manual. It’s important to look very closely at it.
      I have assembled more IKEA furniture than you can count in my life and I have never, ever experienced lack of parts or bad manual. Except for this bed. The manual is not very good. it’s complicated and I hate it. It’s still amazing how IKEA manage to sell in flat packs without missing a screw, but I had some issues with this manual, and some parts I don’t know where to go. I used the manual and normally IKEA makes it very good without any writing. And if there is parts not used, you’ll be damned lol
      I’m glad these videos exist.

    5:40 BE CAREFUL!!! The screws Ikea provide barely fit, and trying to force it will strip the screw leaving you with a screw 3/4s of the way in that you cant get out!!
    Make sure you choose the right drill piece and go slowly. These screws are NOT Philips head screws, they are pozidriv, so using a regular Philips head drill puece with strip it and cause big headaches.
