This film study video does not include Branch's Pick Six in the 3rd Q against the Chiefs. This video is intended to show how consistently good his coverage is, and the high level of physicality and awareness he brings to the "Star" position for the Lions.

To give perspective, last year, at the beginning of the season, before we knew what our rookies were, many would have considered Tracy Walker III as our most talented defender, now he is depth.

7:04 Coming from a Ravens fan, that's pretty high praise. As a Lions fan, we haven't had it this good since Benny Blades and Willie White. Feels good.

“The Lions 🦁 have got DB’s for days now.”
Sure feels different from last season.

I doubt that they play Branch deep while dropping Joseph intentionally, Kerby is not good in the box. Once CJGJ, Branch and everybody else gets the communications down, we'll really see how good this secondary can be.

Love the lions content ‼️ many want to ride the hype train but won’t make any videos on why we deserve the hype. Having all 22 film is appreciated because during the broadcast the camera angles are garbage 🗑️. More Lions content PLEASE ‼️🔥🔥

Soo unbelievably excited we stole Branch in this draft. I was fine taking him at 18 honestly. Its looking like Holmes got 4 immediate impact players this draft. Laporta Gibbbs Cambell and Branch all had big time plays in this game. Now it’s time to smash seattle this Sunday.

Scary thing about this team is the fact that they will be getting Jamo back in week 7. If this defense can be a top 10 defense to go along with their top 5 offense The Lions will be a team nobody wants to face in the playoffs.

If you check out Inside The Den which is Lions coverage of their draft room, they were considering Branch when they took Laporta. As each pick went after that Brad would chime in 'Branch is still there'. Eventually he tells Sheila I'm gonna go get him, and calls Gutey in GB. Happiness ensues 8>D

The secondary as an overall unit has the chance to be special! They will be most impactful getting off the field on 3rd down and creating turnovers like they did on TNF. Branch has all pro written all over him, as a lions fan it will be tremendously exciting to put the “D” back in Detroit.

Yes, Safety is probably our deepest position, overall. This is not the 2022 Lions secondary, by no means! The ONLY starter carrying over from last season is Kebry Joseph...aka The Father of Aaron Rodgers.
No joke though!! Get well soon old man!! Time to call it a career! Still one of the goats, either way!! Sucks to see it happen like that though. Hate to see that happen to ANYONE!!

CJGJ was adamant in saying Brian Branch has star potential in interviews around preseason. I took that as a huge compliment for Branch and I don't take that lightly coming from a great player like CJ. I'm floored by the work Brad Holmes and crew did to clean up in this draft. I'm usually extremely critical and it is hard for me to find holes in their eye for talent. I would have liked Jalen Carter but it was understandable that he likely would have been a headache. I think our eyes were on Witherspoon at 6 but when he was taken they rolled with the punches and knocked the rest of the draft out of the park.

I'm sure you remember 2021 ravens v lions where Tucker kicks a 66 yard field goal to win and people say a delay of game should have been called. What I love is that the lions were definitely rusty, except special teams, and still won the game. Before week 9 last year the lions always found a way to lose.
Emmanuel Moseley will be back soon and the secondary now has real experience. I bet those holes and blown coverage go away against Seattle. I expect the offense to get their rhythm and timing down also.

Trade you Tracy Walker and a 3rd next year for Tyler Linderbaum? 😅

    • @all_22_films
      @all_22_films  Год назад

I don't think most Ravens fans would take you up on the offer. But it's an interesting thing. The Ravens just signed Duron Harmon so I think they are going to roll with what they have at FS. G Stone actually played quite well last year. Guess we will see. Kind of crazy that T Walker can't get on the field now.

@@all_22_films yeah part of me thinks it is also his recovery from last seasons injury that is keeping them from playing him hard when they don’t have to. I’m super interested in how Holmes will do upgrading the oline in the next couple years…. I just wonder how long Decker and Ragnow are going to keep playing seems like the injuries have been unkind but they give it their all and do a kick ass job for us. Loved the Linderbaum pick up for you guys same with the Roquan Smith. Good luck this season bro! Thanks for the content
