Hello! Add some white glue to the end of your thread about an inch. Without the needle. Let it dry and when is dry the tread will be hard and you can add the beads. What part of the San Joaquin Valley?

I starch my doilies or pieces that don't need to be too hard. For my earrings I use white glue and water to make them hard.
