What Michael did was misguided and wrong on every level, but he did it to get a better position at work to be able to provide a better future for him, Josie and the family they may go on to have. It doesn't mean for a second that he doesn't love her, or that he's racist. Rightly or wrongly, it's all to do with survival.

Disgraceful like you shouldn’t be ashamed of someone’s skin color because that wife is part of your life and you’re just hiding her because you want a promotion and have a racist boss. I’m happy about the ending because his wife taught him a lesson and then he confronted the racist boss which was great to see. Afterwards the wife who was a journalist helped get his career ruined which shows us that judging a kind can end up costing you big time
