Sister Jacky THANK YOU for opening up about therapy. Growing up in church it was so easy to tell ppl to pray it away and not seek the help they need. Prayer (your faith) without works (therapy) is dead! God bless you!
Awwwwww!! Dr. Clark did the best she could do. Thank you for sticking it out Jacky!! There is no Clark Sister's without Jacky. You definitely matter. Thank you for loving GOD!
When are you job friends types going to stop speaking that lie to the Clark Sisters? When Denise left the group there were still the Clark Sisters, when Twinkie left the group there were still the Clark sisters, when Dr. Mattie Moss Clark passed there were still the Clark Sisters, and IF jacky left the group there will still be the Clark Sisters; and you know why? It's because GOD created the Clark Sisters, and the only way that their would be no Clark Sisters is if GOD say that there will be no Clark Sisters. Jacky just needs to understand one thing, she says all the time that her mother saw their gifts in them when they were young and brought it out of them, apparently her mother saw were everyone was gifted in their own right and in the place that she put them at that time. To me jacky just doesn't have a voice for gospel singing in the traditional sound of black gospel music, her problem is she hasn't found her style, she's trying to sing in the style of her sisters and it's not working out for her because her sound is more contemporary inspirational gospel than traditional black gospel. Her mother knew that. Don't believe me, listen to her Wonderful Counselor lead song.
This breaks my heart. I appreciate all 5 of the clark sister🥺. All of them together is unbeatable. Each and every one of them have their own voice which when it comes to unity is amazing💙. They are all equally important.
my perspective on Mrs. Jacky has changed. i use to think she was just the mean clark sister. She is very misunderstood. she has a pure beautiful spirit.
Wow Jackie! The young lady played her so well. You got that Jackie was the thread that held their mother together and her mom’s rock. Many women that were the eldest could identify with you. The world got to know THE JACKIE via the movie. You are at the top no matter what irrelevant people say or how they behave. Blessings to you.
It's amazing to me that a women this accomplished didn't feel like she mattered. Wow.......I love Ms Jacky you most definitely MATTER. Your amazingly talented and gifted.
I love me some Jacky! "No Doubt About It" and "Got An Angel" are my jams!! Jacky is vital to the "Clark Sound." She can do every range vocally. Don't sleep on Mama Jacky. OK!!! KEEP DOING WHATCHA DO WOMAN OF GOD!! In Jesus Name😘♥️
Well, be encouraged Madam Jacky Clark-Chisholm you are the glue that holds the Clark Sisters together. You are valued and appreciated by those of us who are “trained” musicians and listen for the substance over the flourish.
You know the Clark's is my musical aunties. I had a privilege to meet her in the international C.o.g.i.c choir in 2004. She is a sweet beautiful woman of God. I must SAY WE FANS ALWAYS SAW THAT SPECIAL BACKGROUND VOCAL ABILITY THOSE SPECIAL EFFECTS AND POWER BEHIND WHAT SHAPES THE CLARKS SISTERS SOUND. State mother Aunty Jackie is A Mattie Moss Clark stamped by her mother
Thank you for your transparency ♥Jacky♥! Our childhood family dynamic hugely impacts our adult lives. Sadly, many people take the "get over it" approach. That causes things to be suppressed and covered with more layers. This interview has an encouraging impact for others to ignore the "get over it" remarks and empowers them to "take over it!"
The Lord sent me here. I am a Jacky. I used to have so much insecurity centered around the quality of my voice for the very same reasons. Because I can't run circles around folks or hit the highest notes it made me feel like my voice didn't matter and actually lead me to stop singing and pursuing my passion because I felt inadequate. We love you Jacky and absolutely love what you bring to the group vocally!! Your voice has a color none of the other sisters have and helps to make The Clark Sisters, The Clark Sisters! Im so happy the movie was made and the casting was phenomenal!
Dr. Mattie Moss Clark was a great gifted woman but she also damaged her daughter's as well, we shouldn't look over that, actually it can help alot of families heal of the different kinds of abuses in the church all in the name of hearing from God.
Overlook it? I don't think it's our business to look at all! I am no judge, everybody's got issues. Yes, deal with them, get help, but I don't think this is helping. Praying that your family be healed.
@@sissimpson but they made the movie about their lives...so it’s implied that we look and analyze what we’ve seen. If they didn’t want it to be our business then they shouldn’t have made a movie or done interviews regarding their business.
UMMMM... DAUGHTER NICE POINTS BUT, PLEASE A LITTLE. I understand thats mother but we came here to "HEAR HER" FOR ONCE and we are getting the same results with you. I love the info your giving us its a way to do everything. You just took over the show also! And i know it was all under protection. The same way I know her Mother and sisters love her and plugged those missing spots too. Not because she was loved any less. No Child wants to see their mother going through any hurt and judgement while growing up so it seems like her daughter has the unforgiving bitter anger in heart. She was not there through the years. We gotta remeber the "Church/Gospel World" back then. like wow! Mother Mattie had way WAYYY more Shun, Judgement & whispers then we today may realize. She was just SOO strong that she kept her chin up in the air, God & her girls first. A time where & placement where MEN were what goes. "The end all Be ALL" Then also inside the "Christian World" You can not imagine. She had every eye on her as Lady of the Church and she took way more mental and physical abuse from her husband then I think even her girls knew. Her divorce was "Big news", and she took all kinds of whispers from she thinks shes a man to shes just crazy and mean. BIGGEST OF ALL. BEING ONE OF THE BEST. TARGETS ON HER BACK TO TAKE HER DOWN WAS THERE AND NEVER WENT AWAY. Other Gospel music greats who flat out wanted her gone. Once again she never chose herself HER GIRLS and her Gospel kept her moving until her end by God. Most of us adult as parents on here know it is very very hard to make choices with our children. And to be honest I know it was not easy for her to put them in the correct spots and pick and choose where they fit. "MOTHER MATTIE KNEW GOSPEL AND HER GIRLS WELL, SHE KNEW THEIR CALLINGS. SHE DID NOT WANT TO BE SELFISH KNOWING THAT SHE COULD NOT BE HERE ON EARTH WITH THEM FOREVER, KNOWING THAT THE EASY WAY WAS LYING TO AND COVERING EACHES TRUE CALLING AND SPOT KNOWING THEY DID NOT ALL FIT AND DO WELL IN THE SAME SPOT. THAT WOULD BE THE EASY WAY OUT AS A PARENT. IT TOOK HER YEARS OF PRAYING AND USING HER EARS TO FINALLY SEE WHERE THEIR ENDING SPOTS WOULD BE WHEN THEY WERE READY TO BE THE BEST TOP NOTCH. BUT SHE WAS HONEST AND PUT THEM ALL IN THE PERFECT SPOTS WHERE THEY BELONGED.
It’s so irritating and triggering that her daughter is constantly speaking over Aunty Jackie. She is literally talking about how people have always shut her down and dismissed her and her daughter is doing the same in this interview. Let her speak. Let her tell her truth. Without interrupting her. That’s so sad.
I agree, there is a really messy vibe behind the one sitting next to her, she ain't helping bringing up something her deseased mother did, that's Jacky's issue. They had a wonderful career and still doing it. Don't try to tarnish Ms. Mattie's legacy
Jacky is the Balance between her sisters. She offers the even under tones, and richness of her sisters. My favorite song Jacky leads is, "No doubt" her range is like listening to young Whitney Houston. Her smooth ascending glide from her tenor to soprano, is phenomenal!
I love this entire family! Their hearts are open to sharing their journeys to help so many of us dealing with very similar issues. I have always loved Jackie's humble but powerful presence. Their music will always be able to touch, set free and heal, because unselfishly they give and yield their voices. There is no other like this family. And I'm so thankful for each of these Vessels. Jackie, Twinkie, Denise, Dorinda and Karen...Love you Ladies
I can identify because I am nowhere near the vocal ability of my cousins in a group, however I can do more in background, and once we work out where I should be in the arrangement of each song.. Every body is not a power lead singer.. Some voices have limited range, that doesn't make you irrelevant at all, that makes Jacky special, and she is the spokesperson of The Clark Sisters, and she keeps the business portion together...
Angel... sweetheart... do me a favor just hold the camera today ok. That’s all we need you to do right now. Let’s let Jackie answer her questions ok baby girl🤦🏽♂️
Her mom was there at that time to experience what happen you can't even hear the mom it's not about you taking up for your mom but let her talk she not mute where she doesn't have a voice
@@Ree-vn9dc intention can be good but that doesn't mean the result is. In her attempt to take up she interrupted amd overtalked and took up too much space.
I love all of the Clark Sisters. I appreciate what Jacky brings to the group. She rounds out the Clark Sister's sound. She is much needed in the group. Don't be hard on yourself Jacky. You are an essential part. Don't ever forget that.
Just watch the Soul Train Music Award show of 1989. The Clark Sisters along with other Gospel artist are singing Lean on me. Dorinda goes first Jacky goes second and her voice is rich loud and on key and she gets the audience going. Then Karen sings and tears the house down!.
Angel is always talking too much behind the camera. So aggravating. I love to watch Jackie, but Angel’s has some issues too. She wants to be in the limelight too. Just hold the camera steady. That’s all we need from her. And anyone else who’s a camera person.
I love that that she holds the line while the other sisters vocally move about. Without makeup, hair combed she is beautiful. I pray she's now comfortable about her ability to do what the other sisters can't.
It is the fact that she stays put and HOLDS that harmony tight. All that "vocal running" at times distort just how beautiful their sound is. Whenever Jacky "stays put" it's is SPOT ON.
Ms. Jackie, please do not feel "less than". You are just as important as anyone else. Your voice is very good. Don't allow anyone else make you doubt yourself. They are no better than you! I feel for you and Denice. Some may think that it's ok to make others feel less than. God does not care how much makeup we wear, how well we dress, how big our church is! Lol one day each and every will have to answer for what we have done. Please don't just go along with others because you feel less than! I pray that one day the sisters can TRULY REUNITE. I feel for you and Denice. The way she was portrayed in the movie was a shame! Then others SEEMED TO BE ANGELs🤦. God is not sleep!
Omg auntie jacky made me cry. I came her bc I listened to Name It Claim It. And auntie Jacky voice was the voice that was the melody the tone of that song and all the Clark sisters songs
She always tries to take over or control their interviews n we never just get the full Clark experience cause she tries to tell them how to talk, when to talk etc ...
You bring up a very interesting point and If you listen closely you can understand why that is. In the case of Dr. Mattie Moss Clark, she was treating Jacky in that manner because of how SHE was treated growing up. That in turn manifested itself in Jacky in how she treats Angel (in a sense) which is why Angel is very "forward" in a lot of these interviews. IN ADDITION TO THIS, you can tell that Angel is very protective of her mom given what their family had to endure over the past year or so, so its understandable. Its a generational pattern.
My husband and I always listen to "He Can" from the new Clark Sisters album. Its our favorite out of them all! Thank you Jackie for what you bring. I can't imagine how strong you would have to be to hold your own with any Clark sister. But you do it and you do it well. You inspire us all! Blessings!
This is a great subject because ppl need to be able to process outside critics while dealing with your own self critiques........and still push thru to legendary status.... thru it all.... I wish Jackie would talk and impart more on this topic because she pushed thru and never changed...Got an Angel is still one of my favorite songs from the sisters..... we appreciate you JCC
I love Jacky when she leads the song "He's a wonderful counselor" I still play that song until this day. At first when I saw this video I didn't believe it was Jacky but she looks so different and her daughter seems very protective of her. I know that there's a reason for this. Maybe their mom made differences in them in their younger days and it seems that it has carried over into their adult life. I can testify to this comig from a family of "11"
@@chandarosa6187 every video I watch with Jacky at her house, particularly the "cooking with jackie" series, all i hear is Angel in the background instigating, talking over everyone and being bossy. It got to the point where I had to stop watching. I can tell they be wanting to let her have it but they don't say it lol
I think the reason why they are doing the most talking is because they seem to be protective of her, so they tend to overcompensate for her without realizing that when conducting an interview, you have to sit back and let that person express theirselves freely. It takes a skill. But it was decent.
I want to hug Jacky so bad 😩😭😭😭😩😩 we love you way more than you know. They got the vocals but you have the spazz, the character and the wisdom !!! ❤️🙏🏽🔥 Which is of Great price ! ❤️🔥
Ok, y'all. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, because baby, that one video on KiKi's channel when KiKi cooked with Auntie Jackie, Angel got on my LAST nerve with all of what she be doing. 🤦🏽♀️
Imagine if Jacky was confidence with her singing from back then to now...whew she would be bad (as in good) at this point. Each of the sisters bring something to the table and it's unfortunate they did not see her worth like they did with each other. I clearly see it til this day how they treat her. I was happy when JD reached out to Jacky instead of the others. They did not believe Jacky when she told them about JD reaching out. He didn't know the history of how they treated her. When they got to the studio, he treated the all the same. Actually, his expectations for Jacky was higher because he had a moment with her first as in the initial connection. She could have had several albums by now but because of her lack of confidence she hindered herself. I totally understand. For me, I was waiting for others to help me produce my own music but time after time no one did because I sound better than the people I was asking as if I was threat...LOL. They all had singing careers in their own right. Anyways, I finally write and produce my own music. Let the haters hate. I truly believe that was the case with Jacky. They should have built their sister up and not down. Helped her to develop her craft. She brought something to the table with her jazz type voice. I love her voice so much and wish her well. Thanks for reading.
GOD BLESS YOU SISTER JACKIE CLARK CHISIM. I LOVE YOU AND I LOVE YOUR VOICE. KEEP SINGING TO THE GLORY OF GOD. THERE IS NO CLARK SISTERS WITHOUT ALL FOUR OF THE SISTERS. STAY ON YOUR SQUARE, YOUR VOICE IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. STAY BLESSED. DR. K. A. WARD 💒🏨⛪🏩💒🏨⛪🏩💒🏨⛪

Jacky, wow, I love you and everything in me knew that you felt that way because I felt it. And I've been through the exact same thing. Not that I can't sing but because I was sidelined because I wasn't in the click. It made me feel unworthy but I have to remember what you said about this pyramid. I will be sure to include this in my sermon on Sunday. When you said that, it empowered me. So I'll pass it forward and empower the people of God who may also be feeling the same way. You can sing though Jacky, you just have your own sound. And when you're singing, I don't want to hear them, I want to hear you. Love you so much. Tears falling.
I think she’s talking because her mom really won’t open up to a lot of stuff....like this interview. Do you think people actually knew she felt like this all those years?

I like her on " Got an Angel" , it was perfect for her tone.
One of my favorite songs of hers is My Season.
I miss Salvation Means More To Me. That is such a hauntingly beautiful song. They never do it live.
I love that and No Doubt About It
Sister Jacky THANK YOU for opening up about therapy.
It seemed as if she still is being sidelined the way they are talking over her, wow!
Same
Me too
Wow Jackie! The young lady played her so well. You got that Jackie was the thread that held their mother together and her mom’s rock. Many women that were the eldest could identify with you. The world got to know THE JACKIE via the movie. You are at the top no matter what irrelevant people say or how they behave. Blessings to you.
This made me see Jackie in a different light. Angel please hush baby
😂😂😂😂😂
Right. I wanna hear Aunty Jacky
It's amazing to me that a women this accomplished didn't feel like she mattered. Wow.......I love Ms Jacky you most definitely MATTER. Your amazingly talented and gifted.
Angel let your Mom TALK Please💗😊
She’s speaking life into her mom !
@Lynette PERIOD!
Well, be encouraged Madam Jacky Clark-Chisholm you are the glue that holds the Clark Sisters together. You are valued and appreciated by those of us who are “trained” musicians and listen for the substance over the flourish.
Aunty Jacky you will always be a vital asset to the Clark Sisters and you and the young lady that played you look like soooooo much alike
Jacky is classic jazz vocals. Listen to her on Joy on Twinkie's FAMU album. She's very essential. 👌
Jacky completes the clark sister's sound PERIOD.
Jacky you will always MATTER beleive that
ALWAYS!!
As someone who is closely connected to them THANK YOU
Ellinor Long Jacky is the core of the sound
Yes!
@AD NYC I'm glad you are using your gift.To God be the glory!
💯💯💯
It’s so irritating and triggering that her daughter is constantly speaking over Aunty Jackie. She is literally talking about how people have always shut her down and dismissed her and her daughter is doing the same in this interview. Let her speak. Let her tell her truth. Without interrupting her. That’s so sad.
Exactly.
You have a point
I agree, there is a really messy vibe behind the one sitting next to her, she ain't helping bringing up something her deseased mother did, that's Jacky's issue. They had a wonderful career and still doing it. Don't try to tarnish Ms. Mattie's legacy
Kristie Jeffress No no. Angela is her name and that’s who played Jacky in the movie. This clearly was the point of the interview. YOU don’t b messy.
@@QDennardII thank u!
Of ALL The Clark Sisters songs.. "Angels Watching Over Me" is my favorite. It makes me cry every time I hear it. "Jackaaaaaay"!!!!
I feel bad for Angel because nobody in her family tells her she can be annoying. 😭
Very controlling
Or can SING!!!!!
No literally. She just kept talking over her mother, I wanted to hear Jacky’s perspective and answers not yours ughh🤦🏿♀️🤦🏿♀️
🤣🤣🤣💯
I don't think she is interrupting out of rudeness. I believe she is taking up for her mother.
That part.
I mean really!!!!!?
I love all of the Clark Sisters. I appreciate what Jacky brings to the group. She rounds out the Clark Sister's sound. She is much needed in the group. Don't be hard on yourself Jacky. You are an essential part. Don't ever forget that.
Just watch the Soul Train Music Award show of 1989. The Clark Sisters along with other Gospel artist are singing Lean on me. Dorinda goes first Jacky goes second and her voice is rich loud and on key and she gets the audience going. Then Karen sings and tears the house down!.
I know exactly what you’re talking about. It was some of The Winans, The Clark Sisters, and some others. Jacky sounded really good, frfr
This makes my heart smile bc her truth is being told ! I love Jacky
Angel is always talking too much behind the camera. So aggravating. I love to watch Jackie, but Angel’s has some issues too. She wants to be in the limelight too. Just hold the camera steady. That’s all we need from her. And anyone else who’s a camera person.
Jacky's voice is smooth and I love her voice on the song "Miracle."
I love all the Clark sisters. They each have their own sound and they have given us great music. Praying for you Sis. Jacky
I’ve always loved Jackie’s voice. It’s soothing and calming. Very essential to the Clark Sisters sound ❤️❤️❤️
I could understand how she could feel like that...it’s rough but I’m glad she has support
I am the middle child of 5 kids, we all sing as well, I am too a jacky, I love you ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Angel shut up please I’m tryna hear her 🙄
How ignorant do you sound to tell someone to shut up for defending their own.
Word! LOL- The MOST ! LOL
@@thegodsent1 Right. She was standing up for mum.
That’s her daughter 🙄
Right the question was directed to Jackie NOT Angel 🤷🏾♂️ but maybe we was looking at a different interview loll
I am crying so hard right now. This interview is necessary!
Jackie’s voice is so authoritative. I would love to hear and purchase a full album.
Dang, im sorry but i feel like she interviewed angel and not Jacky.
Exactly! I was like shut up and let YOUR MOM talk.
@@uxwd87 my God i totally agree, Angel don't mean any harm she just reallly protective of her precious mom .
She sounds like she’s become defensive of her mom.
I can testify to this comig from a family of "11"
I just wish Angel would let Jackie speak for herself. She always takes over the conversations and its really annoying 🤷♀️
Yessssss Please!
Omgggg, yesss.. Girllll she’s very ANNOYING
How ignorant do you sound to tell someone to shut up from defending their own.
I felt Jacky pain and relate
OAN:Mrs. Jacky’s voice is amazing!!! She hits those low notes like a beast!!!! Love you Auntie
We as fans notice the differences... and we love all the clarks and their differences
Mrs. Chisholm is looking so youthful!
I wish I could give Aunty Jacky a big hug🥺

No disrespect I would’ve loved to have heard Jacky tell HER story and HER feelings in her own words. I love her and Angel’s closeness but I wanted to see Jacky shine.
Only a person with a beautiful soul in and out can age this gracefully. I'm glad to have found this video.
Wow...this just broke my heart into pieces!! I love Jackie so much because she's a caring person. She is so down to earth. I hated to see her cry!! I wish I could meet her in person and give her a BIG hug!!
I love you Jackie! This interview blessed and encouraged me. Love and blessings to you!
She has an amazing voice just like the rest them. I would rewind her parts often on videos. Especially the song "Jesus the same".
Beautiful voice.
Angel talks to much. It is Jacky's interview. We want to hear from her.
I think she’s talking because her mom really won’t open up to a lot of stuff....like this interview. Do you think people actually knew she felt like this all those years?
JaJuan Ford I agree totally! But on some videos you can tell it is like they go into their own thing & leave Jacky standing there like she don’t belong! Aunt Jacky’s voice is beautiful
@@jajuanford8052 We as fans have noticed....
I was thinking the same thing.😂
Angel needs to stop...
@@maandman I disagee with this comment. The only thing i agree with is Jacky might of had feelings of not sounding like the other sisters. But, the other sisters cannot live without Jacky, they personally need her. Jacky is a great sister and advisor.
Aunty Jacky you are the glue among your sisters: invaluable and unique! Love you!!! The Clark Sisters are pheeeeeeeeeeeeeenomenal!!!! 💖💖💖
Y’all when they sang blessed and highly favored when miss Karen said it should’ve been me when miss dorinda came it was so refreshing but when miss Jacky came in that was it!
Awesome that Angela Birchette captured The Essence of Clark Sister Ms. Jacky Clark Chisolm and played/acted her to the T it seems like 👍🙂💯I will be buying her 2nd CD when it's done
Wow - some of the expressions on Aunt Jacky's face once Angel starts talking - she favors Kali.
Jacky is so important to the sound of the Clark Sisters.
Wow its great to hear them speak on such a personal level! I aporeciate this so much thank u for sharing 🙏
Omg this would have been so much more exciting if Angel would just stop talking. It was so irritating. No matter what was asked or stated she literally had to interject. Like dang we want to hear about Jacky’s life and her experience not Angel’s input. 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️. ANGEL BE QUIET, STOP TALKING, AND LET YOUR MOM DO HER INTERVIEW. DANG!!!!!! 😩😩😩
YESSSS Please, let your Mom speak!...being protective is one thing, but having a presence of disrespect is another. My Mom would have told me to shut up no matter what age.
Why say that? She must was needed because her mom didn’t stop her. People are so mean!
Jackie is ESSENTIAL to The Clark Sisters. We need her. I can't wait til she puts herself at the top of that pyramid.
I was already crying when she started! She was definitely a blessing to me today!
Ms.jacky you will always matter. Its no clarks without a 4 part duo 😂. We all love you hunny boo boo. Believe it"
This was so good It was heartfelt.
