Some purists are comparing Nish to Asha Ji. That was meant to be a tribute, not a competition. Asha Ji started her career in 1943 at the age of 10, which means that by the time she sang this song in 1965, she had been a playback singer for some 20 years. Nish, on the other hand, appears to be an untrained amateur singer. In that capacity, she actually did a great job.
