After hearing her voice, I went to see these guys fully expecting to hate them, and wound up being bummed when they finished their encore at the end of the night. I'm an old school Southern Rock guy, and these folks completely blew me away. She's one of the most interesting guitar players I've ever seen.
+Christopher Fee yes, her voice can get on your nerves.....i think the vibrato is a little too much at times but they have some killer tracks. and marissa shreds hardcore. thats a pretty good crowd. they are into it....i had a chance to see them but passed....my sleater kinney days have passed.....but i regret not going.
jimmiemclovin i was noticing that as well. her precision while playing is definitely better than mine! and all while jumping around. such a solid band overall

I am looking for more videos of great bands at small venues just like this one. i.e.. mercury lounge, glasslands, Shea Stadium, Baby's alright etc.... but it can be any small venue anywhere in the world, i.e. king tuts in Glasgow. Durn I saw NIN at a very small venue in San Diego back in the day. Another example: Bikini kill at small venues in the 90's
Wow, I've always been troubled by that weight of a guitar strapped to my shoulder; as a woman, we're built a bit differently...she's figured it out! She strapped it to her waist! Brilliance! Sings like an evil goat and shreds like a motherfucker! Discovered these guys because David Yow making cupcakes...I see they really like cake...amusing watching photographer try to shoot at the edge of the pit, keeps getting moshed over the amplifier
Rotten Apple. It's off their 2012 album Ugly. It's the only album of theirs I've listened to so far but there's a lot of awesome songs on it and I highly recommend it.

Just finding out about this band and so far I love them. Reminds me a lot of Dinosaur Jr who is one of my all time favorite bands.
