I had the original Space Bags but eventually the air would leak out and it would puff out again.
Gail Collier my older bags do that as well. But I just have the bags. I never bought the little sucker. I always used my vacuum.

I just envision this being used by some old grandma trying to fly overseas and then her bags get randomly searched, and after they open all of her carefully sealed bags and the seal was broke her running around like a crazy old lady asking everyone if they've got a vacuum she could borrow up at the airport so she could reseal her space bags just so she can get all her things back into her one suitcase. I just made up a whole scenario, me and my brain need to go to bed now 🙄🤦♀️

When my daughter was coming home after spending a semester of school in Japan, she went to the Japanese dollar store Daiso, picked up several packing bags. They looked like huge ziplock bags.
You didn't need any vacuum device. You put your clothes in zipped it then started rolling from closed end.
She also got some for her larger items that used a vacuum cleaner to draw out air.
I just watched this while I was chopping a lot of peppers a friend gave me. I read your comment about rolling the bag. I tried it on my peppers instead of using my expensive vacuum seal bags. It worked. Thanks for your tips. Rhonda

To save money and time all u can do is used your home vacuum and then use the "Dollar Tree" bags

I'd imagine there's cases where you don't have vacuum access when you're packing to go home. Camping, for example.

I use the dollar tree ones all the time! I just suck the air out with my vacuum hose 🤷♀️ Works like a charm. I've been using them for 6 years and counting 😉

I ordered something similar from Amazon and packed all my daughters coats and sweaters to mail to her. Mine had a pump, not the battery operated thing. It was quick. Worked great!!!

I did have the bags from forever ago that you did use your vacuum on and it worked fantastic until about a week later the air started leaking into the bag then all I had was a comforter in a bag. It happened to every single bag. I haven’t given any other bags a chance to fail. This is why I watch you!💖💖

I crochet as a hobby and love good deals on yarn. I use the bags from dollar tree and most of the time I remove cap and squeeze most of the air out and replace cap and it does the trick. I'm in and out of my yarn alot but when I'm storing stuff long term I use vacuum cleaner hose. You're so funny. Love your videos
When I was a kid my parents had this product without the portable vacuum. And we loved it, I used them for years. Then ziplock came out with a similar pro, but no vacuum needed, you rolled it to get the air out, I just threw the last one away a few months back! Loved it too! Sad this is taking so long, because I love the portable vacuum idea!

A year and a half ago, we packed up and moved from Michigan to West Texas. We went to Dollar Tree and bought the vacuum bags and sealed a lot of clothes, blankets, pillows, pretty much anything that took up a lot of room in the bags. Money well spent. We used a dirt Devil, so I bet it doesn't matter what kind if machine you use as long as its not that little piece of junk you tried. Love your Vids, Keep up the good work.

I have the original Space Bags, and I love them. I used it when I moved and I use them to keep my winter clothes and my summer clothes.

I bought these bags at the cheapy shop, and they work just as good as the expensive "name" brand ones. We went on a cruise a few years ago, and as a disabled person, I need a special mattress topper, so we packed it into one of these bags. At the end of the cruise, we just ask housekeeping to borrow their vacuum cleaner, so we could suck the air out of the bag to re-pack, they were a bit surprised at first, but it was no problem for them to do. So yes, you can travel with them...just my two-bobs worth :))
I don’t know if they still make them, but when I went to France like 15 years ago, I got those space bags that you just roll up rather than using a vacuum cleaner. They worked so perfectly. I fit so much crap in such a little space and really just had to like sit on it or roll it up to get all the air out. It was fantastic. Way better than this crap. At home I also use them with a Dyson.

I saw this recently and wanted one but not now. I love you.....you are the best! You know the one you got was green and theirs was gray....maybe a different thing altogether. These companies are going to learn.....Don't mess with Vivian ❤❤
The bags that came out years ago were meant to be used with the vacuum. Same clip close system, but you would put the hose in the top of the bag and then close the last bit after it was taken out and that worked just as good as the dyson on top. The only problem with that was travel wise, coming back with no vacuum available, then you couldn't use them. They were really good for storing large blankets and stuff. They also provided you with all different sized bags for different types of items.

Just buy thick clear garbage bags, vaccum air out, hold the top of bag spin the bottom and a rubber band. I do this with winter jackets. Better than anything.
I'm curious if you left the pac-n-stack going for like an hour if it would work....obviously that's a ridiculous amount of time but that's just me being curious about dumb stuff lol

Vivian I got the space bages years ago with the travel bags which need no vacuum at all. You simply roll them and squish out all the air and they are made to fit carry on luggage.

I use Dollar Tree's bags all the time with my vaccum. And it's not a Dyson. And it still works far better than that product.
We used those (the kind you use the vacuum cleaner with) back two years ago when we moved. None survived. None of them held the seal. One commenter said the ones underneath her bed were still good . That's what we decided. If you seal the bag, put it someplace and never touch it or move it at all, it'll stay sealed. So traveling with them - uh uh.
Just watched this for the first time as I'm starting to think about travel again....the Pac and stack is a no go on my trips but the dollar tree item seems worth it. Main concern is how to pack the stuff back into the small space for the return trip!!! Thanks for the honest review 🤠

I stuffed a big down feather coat, two fubu baseball jackets (now vintage) in one from the Dollar Tree vacuum bags. I was impressed. Just took them out today. In another I have all of my comforter pillows. I love them. Getting more tomorrow lol. Need one for a comforter lol.
I got those storage bags years ago (lots of different sizes) and used my vacuum cleaner to suck the air out. That dinky vacuum that comes with those bags is a joke. Works great and I don't need batteries. LOL I use them to store my quilts and drapes plus winter or summer clothes. I'll be getting some extra's from Dollar Tree.

I travel with my job and that would be nice to carry with me, if it really is strong enough to make smoothies with frozen fruit, the kind you get at Walmart in the freezer section. Vivian question? If you use your Dyson before vacation? That works. Here’s the catch. When you leave from vacation how do use your Dyson to go home? Hotels don’t have vacuums just laying around? I went through your experiments and it didn’t work. Sent the stupid gadget back and got my money. Since I’ve found you, there’s no need to do that anymore. Walmart has some that you roll out the air. They work soooo good!!!! We used them over 3 months ago and they are still airtight and compact. Way better than this piece of crap product. thank you Vivian for saving me more money. Love you to pieces.
Yeah we bought these on the way back from a trip to visit family, because we were bringing back way more than we went with. We thought we were slick cause we got extra bags from Family Dollar... totally ended up using the vacuum! So the set that we paid like 29.99 for because it has the sucker thing was a total waste of money. But the bags did help us get everything home! 💖✌💖
Vivian, there are those storage bags at Walmart, that doesn't need suction. You only zip bags up part way, and manually squeeze, and push air out and zip. They work better than the ones that you tried, and don't need a vacuum.
Vivian, the dollar tree bags are amazing. I store seasonal clothing (for several years) and they seal rapidly with a vacuum and rarely deflate while in storage. I head to the dollar tree and buy them out! I have purchased many vacuum bags from Amazon, hoping that each purchase will be better. Nope. Highly recommend the dollar bags, a big thumbs up!

I used 15 of the largest bags possible to take to Ethiopia filled with cloths to donate. Not with that portable vacuum though, I used a real vaccume. It's amazing how many toiletries, clothing, air mattresses, etc I was able to take with me. The thing is, although you're taking less luggage it's super heavy cause of all that fits. We paid approx $100 in overweight fees. Between 3 people splitting up the luggage.
The first time i ever bought some of these type bags i had all my extra bedding and clothes all bagged up and vacuum sealed and then my cat ran across them and yeppers they all expanded and I was a cussing fool for a bit. Lol
UPDATE: U already read my mind Vivian, with using your vacuum and Dollar Tree bags
We use the off brand space bags for bedding in our pop up camper. I just keep it slightly unzipped until I crush it under my own weight and then finish zipping it. Same effect. 🤷♀️😂
