  • This is my 1974 DT250A two stroke enduro bike. I removed the engine and had the frame sand blasted. I then painted the frame and swing arm. The fuel tank, oil tank and side covers are the original finish. The fenders were repainted by the previous owner.

I used to own a red Dt175 from 1972. Pretty fast bike, I still miss it.

Nice bike, sounds good. I own a DT3 250 Enduro in Yamaha Competition Green, I don't think it sounds as good as yours. It melted its piston, maybe the timing or mixture isn't right. It's running electronic ignition and it's now 12v too.

My best advise would be to go to www.yamaha-enduros.com. They have a Tech Library with Service Manuals and a lot of knowledgeable people that are willing to help.
