i loved LD's message at the end. he's such a genuine person that talks about so much of the things that we don't call enough attention to outside of the game. taking care of responsibilities to keep a clear head, focusing on taking care of those around you, and celebrating accomplishments are all such valuable things that don't get talked about enough. thank you both for being so real and wholesome!
I haven't missed one of your podcasts guys. It's really well managed, keep going. Btw, think about Prince Philippe (ward) during that steel period. It did an amazing job for me. #GreenPurpleForLife
I also do not understand how red purple is bad in 2 game format. It was one of my choices for Seattle because it is so consistent and the mulligans are usually just for curve when I play it. Loved the deep discussion into emerald Amythest!! Great points and reasonings and definitely showcases the preference based on personal style and that a card like merfolk is not a"must" depending on how you choose to build and pilot your deck. Great podcast! Only half way in, have to finish it up tomorrow.
I wonder how many players that play Ruby/sapphire or Ruby/ Amethyst complain about other decks? Bucky, fox needs to be banned because emerald/amethyst is getting too strong. There are only two decks that have performed consistently since set 2....
Yes. The two-game format is terrible for decks that get more value from matchup-specific hand alteration (mulligan) strategies on the draw. I haven't played enough red-purple to say whether it falls into that category. Blue steel definitely feels that way.
Thoughts on a few tech cards if you are expecting a Steel heavy meta like NA Continentals: Befuddle to bounce back things like Calhoun, Piglet, Flynn worth? Or also Ursula, Mad Sea Witch 2 drop 1/3 with challenger +2 to help against steel/aggro? Can also shift on 7 Drop Ursula vs songs and Emerald Steel? Been trying to beat Purple Steel and it's so difficult I hope to dodge it at Continentals lol
Most players will most likely run Amber Steel or Diggy Diggy So Chances of red and purple winning are low. Wouldn't be a surprise if one person in the top 50 would have a red-purple.

See a lot of decks with Cri-Kee in it, what are your thoughts on it? Seeing neither of you played it in your GP decks
@@Dadis92 its a reasonable tech choice and cant be too wrong. Play him if you liked him while testing
another huge podcast from you ❤️
LD I understand your opinion on Merfolk but what do you think of Maleficent 1/1 quest 2 for 1
If everyone is teching for the doc amber steel build, it has to be the best deck in the format

@@AladdinsCastle23 i really cann see befuddle. The ursula im not really sold, seems to commit too much on steel MUs
So my local meta is steel heavy. What should I use instead of bonsai
maxx up the snake and maybe play some olafs
YEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSS
