This is not blowing smoke - all of this is gorgeous, but one thing that leaped out to me during watching this is during the gain range and tone & shape sections, you were dialing in this unbelievably rich yet glassy mild/medium Americana drive sound that made me pump my fist - cause those were the more interesting lower gain sounds I could never get from the gear and pedals I used to use back in the day, and when we were designing this thing, I would get glimpses of it and thought "where was this when I needed it?" Thank you for digging that out of the thing and showing it to the world
So like so many, I really dig the stuff you write for these intros, and now I'm super curious what, if anything, you've been listening to. I could use some new music while I wait for Tides From Nebula's new album.
My recent listening habits tend to play a strong role in my writing but it always kind of goes through the lens of my own tendencies. I’ve been listening to a lot of Mewithoutyou (the late era stuff is the best imo; pale horses and untitled), LS Dunes, and the new Balance and Composure record.
I really like the intro tune. There’s a sound somewhere between Sunny Day Real Estate, Failure, and Deftones, but instrumental. Whatever that sound is, you nail it often! 😎👍
I would be surprised if that were the case. Every rat and rat based distortion I’ve played has had a specific low mid cut that creates an almost “thin” clarity and this feels like it hangs onto body way more.
Great demo, as usual. This seems like a great pedal for people like me who’ve struggled with fuzz. Would you say this pedal works well with a variety of guitars, single coil and humbucker?
fuuuuuuuuuuuh this is GORGEOUS. Thank you

I’m literally just here for the intro jam at this point! Thank you
Holy crap, Mark, your writing and playing just keeps getting better, which seems impossible. Those muted arpeggios in the intro...
Love you descriptiveness
Holy fuck that post rock intro composition was awesome Mark. Loved it.
Thank you❤
ACB vibes and I dig it.
Amy Coney Barrett?
Such a great demo! SOLD
Intro jam was better than grandmas pizza rolls on a Friday night. Well done!
I was genuinely dumbfounded at the end of the intro jam. Tasteful as, friend.
🔥🔥🔥

Great video! This is based on a rat circuit?

It is, but it’s heavily modified.
Great demo, as usual.

didn't know you were a stanley girlie
I am a huge fan of whatever large water container my wife isn’t currently using.
