The fact that cats and all animals are hyper aware & active in keeping each other clean is, in & of itself, amazing.. The care that this Mama Cat takes of her kitten is nothing short of beautiful. The natural care taking instincts inherent in animals and human beings is one of this earth's pure miracles.
Poor Kiki! She is desperate to know what lies beyond The Box, but her little legs won't let her peek over the rim. Her heart issue hasn't dented her curiosity in the slightest- she's eager to explore... if only she could get out of that darned Box!

And, she will survive. My cat was born with a heart murmur. He is now 14 years old. Beautiful kitten and mom cat.
Finally heard Kiki speak! What a cute little squeak. With mom and dad being so vocal I thought kiki would be too but she's just a chill little girl taking in her world. She also has no siblings to compete with either! She is just so cute!

Why does her Mother lick her so intensely. I think you should take the kitten out of the box and play with her. I think this would help her to hone her skills. ☺️☺️☺️☺️

The so called grooming almost knocks over the poor little thing with the result Kiki can't really defend herself as her bite would little or no effect on Mimi. I'm so sorry about going on about this but the more I see Mimi doing it the more I get extreamly upset. 😪😪😪

What a great mother. Baby's breathing is still labored. It's time to let her out of the box onto a clean soft blanket. The reason the mother is continuing to wash her bottom is to get her to go to the bathroom. This is natural. I think if Babykins gets out for a few minutes she might work out her constipation. Supervise her every inch. Then put them back in the box. Meanwhile wash or replace that blanket because if you notice the mother is licking the blanket. Next steps!
I thought she was licking the blanket to clean her tongue after cleaning her baby.

@Gail I wholeheartedly agree with you! Especially laundered blanket spread on the flat floor so she can move. Mimi instinctively knows that her baby is constipated. That is so worrying!
It may be good to let the baby out of the box onto some cardboard or brown paper bag to pee and poop for easy throw away clean up and also for baby to feel the difference from where you sleep and where you poop.
I love how the papa cat is always so laid back while the mama always looks so derpy 😂
I really wish Kiki a long and healthy life. She is magnificent. Her mother is so loving towards her. Thank God for animals. Humans let me down all the time and they dominate and are destroying our planet
