      Hi Momo! 🥰 Yes! Perfectly said...I have been trying to say the same thing...how Karen can look at something not so easily seen by others (like this picture) and when she is done I always think...ohhh now I see what this picture is about...It will be genius and gorgeous and always recognizable as Karen ZucchiniKitty! Thank you Momo, for helping me come up with the right words!

    Thank you for this fun and informative video. I love Rita Berman. Her books are so whimsical with lots of swirls and whirls. I like the range of colours that you used and the black outlines that really make the shapes pop. The falling snow really sets the whole page off. I really enjoyed watching.

    I love watching and learning from your tutorials. The trees are beautiful. Your tutorials seem to be useable for all skill levels. Would you consider doing a tutorial on the snowflake page on the left. It would be a wonderful celebration of all the beautiful snow we’ve had this winter ☃️❄️. The whole page wouldn’t be necessary. Just enough to get us going. I hope you like snow! 🐈

    Oh wow! I did not know you could use water with colored pencils, is just that for the Polychromos or Can that work for Prismacolors as well?

    • @ZucchiniKitty
      @ZucchiniKitty  3 года назад

      I use these with the Polys because they are the same colors, but yes you can use watercolors with Prismacolors just remember Prisma's are wax based so if you color with them first watercolors will not lay down ontop of them, but if you use the watercolors first then you can laydown the pencils on top.

    Hi Karen! I have a general question: If you had to choose between the Faber Castell Albrecht Durer watercolor pencils and the Derwent Inktense pencils, which would you pick? I'm looking to invest in one of them but not sure which one to choose. They seem like both are great products but since you have both I was wondering which you like to work with better?

    • @ZucchiniKitty
      @ZucchiniKitty  3 года назад +2

      I love them both, it all depends what you are after. One is a watercolor pencil that work like watercolor paints, can be reactivated and works with the Polychromos pencils (same colors) other pencils or on their own. The Inktense are water soluble ink, work like ink are not reactivatable and are permeant when dry they work well with other pencils or can be used on their own
      Both are vibrant and easy to use. You can't go wrong with either set.

    • @jedi_girl
      @jedi_girl 3 года назад +1

      @@ZucchiniKitty When you use Inktense, does it ever bleed through the paper at all?

    What is the difference between distress ink and distress oxide?

    • @ZucchiniKitty
      @ZucchiniKitty  2 года назад

      The first distinct difference is one of formula. Distress Inks fall into the family of dye inks. Dye inks are transparent in nature and, due to their "thin" quality, dry quickly. Distress Oxides, on the other hand, are primarily constructed of pigment ink, a type of ink that is opaque and, due to its natural thickness, dries more slowly. It is important to note, however, that Distress Oxides are technically a hybrid - containing mostly pigment ink, but also some dye ink too. This is the first key difference between the two inks.

    • @marydimuro2953
      @marydimuro2953 2 года назад

      Thank you for helping me understand! So, it does seem that using distress inks rather than distress oxides would be a good place for a beginner to start. What a very cool and efficient way to do backgrounds!
