I already started to have a bad feeling when the first courageous protests started in Syria in 2011 because unlike Mubarak who liked to be seen as a 'liberal' dictator, Assad had no such desire after his first year in power and did not care about how bad the international press would paint him as long as he could cling on to power. And vicious dehumanizing torture just for sadism's sake was already firmly established under his father.

One of them is "Saydnaya camp" look it up on youtube.I heard the stories of Omar Alshogre, Caesar photos. Other Documentary by TRT world - A Btcher by Any Other Name . There was one more, i forgot the name. I then even saw Vice news documentary named "Life Inside Assad's Syria" These all opened my eyes.

My two uncles were imprisoned and tortured in Libyas notorious Abu Salim prison for 13 years. They were not political or even involved in activism. Just simply dragged from their homes one night. For 5 years our family did not know if they were dead or alive.
