Ireland and Ukraine are the clear winners for me based on the clips. Portugal also looks really good.
I’m hoping the camera shots aren’t final yet because there are some bizarre choices. Cyprus is very hectic, Serbia and Moldova have unnecessary wide shots. The backing vocals are also quite loud in some clips.
But overall, looks like a good semi final and also quite difficult to predict, especially in the middle.
I think i've watched the Ireland snippet about 4 million times.
Won the rehearsal day with EASE. We have barely even scratched the surface too... theres so much we havent seen.

Based off that video, As an Australian I am confident that Australia is a NQ this year. Ireland on the other hand MUST qualify! That’s just pure Witchy Art and as a Wiccan, I love it!!! 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
Yeah I honestly am so sad that I'm disappointed with Australia, I had a lot of faith they were going to wow with sheer charisma.
Holding out a little hope that they're just holding off for the rehearsals and will give fulllll energy later on.

Teya dora ssid that she dorsnt like how her camera work is and asked for close uo camera work but as we all saw production didnt listen to her. She said she will ask again cause serbian delegation dorsnt like how camera work is. She holes production will listen and fix it
Let’s hope the production listens to delegations’ comments, to help them bring their best to the audience, not undermine anyone’s performance.

Hi, Thanks you for the lovely comments. The nets on the heads of the Portuguese dancers are there because the dancers are not "persons" but the inner demons and emotions inside Iolanda's soul and head, therefore they have no faces they are a part of her not impersonating "real people" on stage. If it is put like that I guess the masks make more sense because the interpretative dance is a complement and a visual interpretation of the lyrics 🥰 Love❤💛💚 from a Portuguese next to you in UK BTWy Ireland is my absolute favourite this year Love it ❤
Teya dora said that she doesnt like camera shots of her preformance and some light problems and alredy asked production to fix it and they didnt. She said she will keep asking and she hopes they fix it. She said she was stressed avout it and doesnt like how it looks. Servia is getting so much hate for it evan tho they have nothing to do with it. She said she wants closer shots of her face caus eshe wants to send emotion thru camera vut for some reason profuction put in thosr far away shots

Ukrainian here : Ireland needs to qualify, it’s perfection, i’ll be spam voting for it. Ukraine will prob be top 5, it’s really good but not a Stefania good. Jerry+AndA have to pull off a miracle to win jury+ tele vote over the other three amazing acts like Switzerland, Croatia and italy. Switzerland might win, but the costume choice has to be more intricate for it to happen. pink fluffy outfit is cute but too cute ( the dress from the music video was my fav)

I love that Polish stage.
I do actually like it but I don't like the song, the vocals are kinda bad and traditionally at as many songs if not more go from the first half as the second. Between Ukraine and Croatia's a tough gig - I think Poland's an NQ.

@@EmoBearRightsPolish delegation said that they were not happy with sound during rehearsal so there will be changes to make backing vocals more impactful, with 100 % tele Poland will q easly.
@@vacaac Not convinced myself because it would be really remarkable if 7 or 6 songs Qed from the first half. It's impossible as a lot of the songs in the first half are either very good or from well supported countries or both (which is why I think Cyprus are boned as they comparatively are neither). As I said Poland are between two very big hitters this year. Usually when their disapora get them through it's in a weak semi. Serbia also have a lot of support. Maybe I don't want to believe it as the next likely NQs are Serbia and Ireland in the 1st half and Australia and Slovenia in the second (I think we can say Iceland, Moldova and Azerbaijan are dead in the water or at least drowning fast) and I don't want that. Doesn't mean it won't happen though. Maybe a miracle will happen and Finland will flop but with the UK and Germany who like a joke however lame and fellow Nordics Iceland and neighbours Lithuania that seems unlikely.

Finally the time has come to take the word "song" out of the Eurovision Song Contest!,,,,,,,,this year more than ever its all about STAGING......and yes i know that the contest was originally staged to show the developments in television,,,,,,,,,but i wonder which countries would qualify if they didnt have such expensive stagings.....................

The theme for this year seems to be Scifi and Fantasy.
For me Ukraine is giving winner vibes from that clip, and Lithuania, Ireland (this was maybe the best clip with Ukraine), Finland, Croatia (camer angles were too shaky and messy so i got feeling this won't win), Portugal and Luxembourg are fairly sure qualifiers.
The other performances were mostly good as well, but none of them is giving me sure qualifier feeling. Portugal imo is winning the "ballady battle" between Serbia and Portugal and Serbian being in second slot kind of makes me think it wont qualify. Iceland is maybe the only one im 100% sure won't qualify. Even Moldova has made such nice looking staging i won't fully count it out yet. I feel Poland entry being quite meh, but people are saying they qualify because of the Poland people living across Europe so idk. I would much rather have Slovenia qualify instead of Poland. Someone from the Moldova-Azer-Australia line up surely qualifies as it is near the end of running order.
And all Windows95man "only beautifull women, and Spanish men are allowed half-naked" -haters are going to be disappointed when it surely goes to final, atleast after that clip as even w95man has improved his vocals, and they probably intentionally chose to show the start where Henri isn't singing much as he has improved even more since UMK final. Also the way he sings (or speaks) made it sound even more like fairytale/story, as it is kind of theme of the song if you spend some time trying to understand the meaning of the performance as it has quite deep meaning under the "funny joke" cover.
