Gretsch 5120 Electromatic Pickup Change

How to get the potentiometers and wiring sorted in a hollowbody guitar? In this video we change a pickup, get a potentiometer out, re-wire and get it back together in the cavity. It's simple when you know how.

I made a great soldering station with a small tabletop mic stand and some cheap dollar store clip on flashlights that have those alligator clips. Just pulled off the clips, and velcroed them to the mic stand. The mic stand also holds the soldering iron really well when not being used or during warn up. Obviously you can just buy a station already equipped to do electronic work, but since most guitarists have mic stands for their amps, I just thought I'd throw it out there. The alligator clips/arms like you see in this video are basically the same thing that those cheapy clip on flashlights have at the dollar store
