Guess all three correctly to earn ten thousand points on my scorecard and, if you want it, a meeting with me to see how I can help with whatever you're working on. Видеоклипы
**MYSTERY CELLIST REVEALED**
Sorry to upset (some of) you, but this is completely generated by AI - both the music and the cello playing through similar text prompting that I did on my other video. Pretty crazy, no? Certainly one of my favorite ‘living’ cellists 😂
He sounds like the Philippe Hirshhorn of cello. Amazing.
Hi Daniel, the intensity of this vibrato reminds me of Sara Nelsova. By the way, I am glad to hear that you adore Shafran. I played in one of his last concerts in Australia (just a few month before he died) as his 'program warmer', by performing Sonatas in the first part of a recital at the Huntington Festival. In the second half he played the Franck Sonata, Schnittke Suite and 8 encores. He spoke hardly any English, but excellent German. I helped him out and translated during the time of the festival. He talked a lot about Mischa Elman...his expressive intonation...
The film is Meshes of the Afternoon, originally released in 1943 without music, by the Maya Deren and her second husband Alexandr Hackenschied. Deren's third husband Teiji Ito composed and prob performed a sound track in 1959, but is not the music shown here.
That’s right! Meshes of the Afternoon…really incredible little film.
His intonation is phantastic, the amplitude of the vibrato is wide, so he must have huge palms. The instrument has clear sonority. Is it perhaps Piatigorsky?
I agree...some very impressive playing here :) But it's not Piatigorsky!
Maybe we should make a list of all cellists living in the U.S. at that time and ask "who couldn't it be".....?
What has irked me right from the beginning is the piano part. Why would a cellist whom everyone should know chose such a collaboration? So, maybe there was no choice because the cello sound is AI-generated?
Sí el primero en el que pensé es Yoyo Ma
Lynn Harrell? As for the film I have no idea… as well as the music… but maybe for the music I will go with Debussy or something
Not Lynn, not Debussy!
Erik Friedlander (cello), John Stone (composer / piano) ?? They have a Maya Deren project; can't find the music, though.
@@aMaudPowellFan the music is not related to the film at all! I just liked the visuals from Maya Deren :)
@@DanielKurganov OK, that's back to Square 1, then.
Is it Natalia Shakhovskaya?
Daniil Shafran !
Not my favorite cellist Daniil!
@@DanielKurganov not mine either
@@pascaldupont6409 haha. Sorry. Bad English on my part. I mean, this mystery cellist is not Shafran, who IS my favorite cellist :)
Emanuel Feuermann?
Daniil Shafran
Good guess but no!
Nicolas Altstaedt?
@@amiralikhalili3461 nope!
Andres Diaz?
Stephen Isserlis?😅
No:)
Heinrich Schiff.
not Schiff!
OMG ITS YOYO MA
I don’t think so, this doesn’t sound like him…….
@@ceciliahuang3984 obviously im troll posting
Is this what Yo-yo thinks he sounds like :)?
@@DanielKurganovDon’t think so. He usually doesn’t force sound and this definitely is not his vibrato. Doesn’t sound like his tone color and phrasing either.
@@ceciliahuang3984 yes of course completely different aesthetic! I was kidding:)
Makes me suspect this channel's playing is AI-generated! Your word against ours.
