Wow!! What an amazing view!!! I use to work in Yellowstone at Grant Vilage and we were at over 7000 feet as well. The mountains and Lakes anywhere in this country are truly my favorite places. Great video!
The entire June Lake loop is fabulous. I am still partial to Virginia Lakes but we grew up trying to swim off that beach in the closing shot. Very cold water! You are in a great place.
I agree with you band on the reservation thing. I have cursed it many times since I retired and even before it would be difficult to find a place to camp.. Hoping when I go full time in a few weeks I will be able to find places to stay! Safe travels love the view jealous!
Hey if your going to head back south on the 395 get into Independence to Onion Valley Rd turn right and head up towards 7 pines and right before 7 pines there is the Grays Meadows campground its in the trees and there is Independence creek! Been going there since I was a kid. You'll love it!! Your motorhome will definitely handle the hill climb and its all paved.
I feel you on the gas! Especially on a long haul in an rv! So beautiful. I was just at Kennedy meadows and posted a video of that. Thinking about going to horseshoe meadow this weekend. Thanks again for the video!
Had to chuckle at the 7.37 mcg calculation. Our '99 HR Vacationer, similar size to yours, same V10 Triton, averaged 7.4 mpg for the 7500 miles round trip we put on it from Western WA to Easy TN and North Georgia. We are that trip this year in Jan-Mar time frame. Must be the V10 "standard". LOL!
gas prices! omg lol, $2.79 a gallon, were on $7 in the uk lol just found you and subbed, hope you and your van have many happy miles and good gas prices! - all the best. Lez.
You should have tried Toms Place up the road to Rock Creek Lake East Fork campground up over 9,000 FT. Plus top of Conway Summit up to Virginia Lakes and Trumbull Lake Campground up over 9,000 FT But after heavy snow winter Trumbull Lake Campground does not open until sometime in July like in 2017
you had a video showing a new modular couch...can you direct me to it and the make of it or where you bought it...looking to replace ours. Thank you guys.
I bought some speed off a biker at that fist truck stop. That shit had me tweekein so hard. I pulled my trailer all the way to elko before I could sleep.
You are in Calif at your next fill up look at the nozzle where the gas comes out and you will see a 1/4 inch tube. When you top off your tank in CA that tube sucks all that gas back into the stations tank in the ground by design for emmissions. I managed 7 different Chevron extra mile stations I promise you i am right
great video, i couldn't help myself (ocd) you saved $14.25 @ $0.25 a gal. on your gas, (first fill up) but you said $3.09 and you got it for $2.79 thats $0.30 off which makes savings $17.70, god this (ocd) lol. not bad 😆
That is a Great Site. Ohio State Parks, Only Reserve a Percentage of the sites. They always have walk ins. When they let the whole park go on Reservation, That hurts the Traveler. Are there any Boondocking in that area ?
Absolutely hate that stretch of 395 from I-15 to Ridgecrest. We take 14 to L.A. or 58 to Barstow if we're headed towards Twentynine Palms. North of Ridgecrest, however is fantastic.
gas in mammoth and north to nevada is crazy expensive.... a few years back I was paying 5.75 a gallon at the chevron mammoth and shell.... bishop had it cheaper but not cheap enough to justify the trip back down the pass
Hi! Is the app that you are using (8:54) AT&T specific? I looked in the Play Store and couldn't find it (same name but different screen shot). I currently use Network Cell Info Lite.
You're setting up a camera (gopro?) to record you backing in. I would think a RemoVu, www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PGVCLPK/, would help with seeing what you're backing into. I have one of these but I have to admit I've never used it for this purpose. Just a thought.
True. I hadn't thought about the GoPro app on the phone. I've found the RemoVu helpful when using my GoPro when my phone is busy with other things like GPS.
by law they must keep %15 open for first come first serve.... the host should have known that I've worked for the same company they use reserve America but Reserve America looks like it's going away because they've been screwing up so bad the entire California state parks system just decided to start their own online reservation system and I believe the forest service and national parks are following suit
Never been able to understand why a state would go to the trouble to make that illegal. What a crock of nanny state overprotection and a way to rob the travelers!
Good for you, although I'm pretty sure some rabid safety nazi will jump in to say you are a deadly danger to everyone on the road due to your careless and scofflaw behavior. Based on nothing at all, of course. I notice you did not wear a helmet when you got out to fuel, you might have fatally bumped your noggin on a hazard, you know.
I'm fairly critical of Hwy. 295 videos but your video was GREAT! Thank you.

Beautiful California deserts 🏜
The entire June Lake loop is fabulous. I am still partial to Virginia Lakes but we grew up trying to swim off that beach in the closing shot. Very cold water! You are in a great place.
The drone footage is definitely a game changer. I had no idea you were next to that lake. What a gorgeous location.
Beautiful country up there for sure.
Looks like fur baby misses his mommy.
I agree with you band on the reservation thing. I have cursed it many times since I retired and even before it would be difficult to find a place to camp.. Hoping when I go full time in a few weeks I will be able to find places to stay! Safe travels love the view jealous!

I feel you on the gas! Especially on a long haul in an rv! So beautiful. I was just at Kennedy meadows and posted a video of that. Thinking about going to horseshoe meadow this weekend. Thanks again for the video!
The Eastern Sierra is an amazing place, plus you can beat the summer heat at elevation.
Totally! The mountains are great to beat the heat! Thanks again!
Hows the gas prices been treating you?
Amazing campsite and you have the place to yourself 👍🏻
Beautiful!

Oh and Walker Burger stand is gooood and you can park your rig in front. Gotta try it! its in Walker right on the 395 bud! :)
+1 on Walker Burger! Love that place. Amazing shakes.
I spent some of my childhood in adlento

I don't blame you there. I just had to express my displeasure with that section which ruins an otherwise amazing highway.

I use to to get 9 mpg in a 18 wheeler
Just thought you should know it fell flat. It was fading in and out.
US 395 is so scary to drive at night.
Bright headlights are a must! At least the southern stretch is straight and just desert.
His and Hers VLOGS , My wife constantly was barking at me everytime i try to overtake a slow moving car.
Love your videos and all the info. But, that music was seriously annoying

if you are worried about gas mileage..you don't need a motorhome..
There is an app called gasbuddy.com that saves you huge.
Driving barefoot? Illegal in some states.
