I agree with Tom fully. Doesnt matter how honest he is, people need to hear the truth if they like it or not. As much as I dont like this saying but it goes like this "why do people hate the truth from their fellow man. You were shocked at how he is just throwing out all these raw truths. But, that is ONE of the points he is making with this epic song. It has a lot of layers. You SHOULDN"T be shocked if someone does what he did. That's the problem, as a country and society, we are at a point where it's scary to come out and say the truth in public. That isn't The Constitution, or the promise of it. Granted, over history, we have failed many, many groups in this regard, freedom of speech, among others. But MLK and many of his era blazed trails, and for awhile EVERYONE could speak their minds. But, we are going in revers on that again, so he made Brainwashed.
This is Tom's best song imo. It's definitely my new favorite. As for getting smokes at 18, that's bc Tom is Canadian and up here the legal age is tied to the legal age to purchase alcohol and now cannabis as well, and it's solely a provincial gov responsibility. The Feds have no say. In the province of Alberta, where Tom is from, along w Québec and Manitoba, the legal age is 18. I'm in Ontario, and along w the other 6 provinces, the legal age is 19.
I grew up in the border region of Niagara. Niagara Falls bars, clubs, casinos, unclothed ppl clubs (YT friendly🙄), are ALWAYS packed w young Americans. Back 12+ yrs ago when I'd still go out to bars and clubs, Rumors on Clifton Hill in Niagara Falls was a favorite. Most nights nearly half the ppl there were American. Every border region experiences this, it's just that Niagara is the largest, and it's only around an hr and a half from Toronto. In Québec where the legal age is 18, they border NY, Vermont, and New Hampshire. Montréal is the popular spot, but it's about an hr or more from the border whereas in Niagara Falls as soon as u cross into Canada, everything is right there.
Us Canadians, well, we really love Florida and Arizona, especially in the winter. I can't wait to get a winter getaway place in Florida!

In grade school, as a Portuguese white guy, my 2 best friends were black. The sweetest family I knew in adulthood was a black family. Color of skin means nothing to me… and I could never relate to racism…. Yet we live in this world divided due to lies. We are all human… PERIOD!!!! Someone or something is trying to divide us, but we all know inside that we are connected regardless of color or creed. Love trumps all.
If WH, State Department, J&J, Moderna, and CDC are NOT mandating their employees get it, why are they so insistent we do? That and a video I saw of a nurse who got it and how it seriously affected her made my decision to be NO.

Memorial day is the day we witness the lives of the veterans that fought for our freedoms. Independence day is the day that we celebrate our Independence as a country. Then we have veterans days to celebrate all veterans. So, literally. ONE day to acknowledge the most important people to the United States that died to obtain and protect the freedoms that we have the privilege of today.
The saddest part is I saw 3 white woke democrats (they actually had some sort of combo of those words in their profile name. But they reacted to this video and of course they all sh*t on it. None of them really paid attention at all the th3 lyrics ect.
But for me, as a white dude that can't stand both parties. I was pissed when I heard them say things like, "black people don't care about what Tom says" or "why does he think black people will pay attention to him?"
That really pissed me off because they're pretty much were saying the black community aren't smart enough to form their own thoughts and opinions so I'll do it for them.
Also EVERYONE of the black youtube reactors I have watched, and I've sat here the last week and have seen at least 150, ALL of them agree with Tom, understands his message, and a few like No Life Shaq, Stevie Knight have said to share the video, start conversations with people who don't think like you and to talk, don't argue. They also said Tom needs to be protected.

Memorial Day is for the Fallen Soldiers. And of course Veterans Day is for the veterans. There is also another military-related holiday called Armed Forces Day. That's celebrated like the weekend before Memorial Day. When I first heard this video, I had to do a little digging to find out if it was true but apparently there is like the whole entire month set a timer to celebrate the military. That month is May. Apparently Congress pasta sometime in the late 90s. I'm a Navy veteran myself and I had no clue that this was such a thing. I mean at least Danny's house Veterans Day breakfast special which I tend to miss a lot even though there's like an Denny's within a half-mile for me. Well I tend to miss that because my family takes so long to get up and get dressed and by the time we're there, it's past noon and the special is over. And to top it off I still pay for animeals. But yeah, May is I think it's called military appreciation month or something like that. But at least thanks to Tom I had to do some research on it and I found out that there is a military month. So thank you, Tom.

Glad youre doing better, I am currently fighting Covid and the Flu. As far as the days we celebrate the military, there's an Armed Forces Day for those currently serving was May 15th this year, Memorial Day (last Monday in May) is for the fallen, and Veterans day is a federal holiday day the second week of November.

The thing about cigarettes and other products that use tobacco is they are basically "grandfathered" in. Tobacco use basically became world wide in the 1500's, that's about 500 years ago give or take. It took 400 years for science to get to the point of where the effects of Tobacco use were discovered and became well known.
