I'm quite petite. my son's first word was "cap"... which in Italian we use to define a person who is certainly not tall. and everyone said that he had said "mother", even if in his own way....😂😂😂
I've asked my parents what my first word was and my dad "kicked down the door" and said "your first word was dada" my mom said that's true and i laughed so hard (my dad kicking down the door wasn't true) EDIT: i liked my own comment

My first language was sign language!
I made my own language and my mom saw my actions and knew what I needed
Whenever I saw my mom come through the door after a day of work or college I would scream and run around, back then my mom thought I hated her but, when she told me when I was older I said that “are you sure I wasn’t just extremely happy to see you?”
It's clear you had a strong bond with her, even if the initial expression was a little confusing. It's great that your mom was able to understand your true feelings behind the screams and running around.🥰
My folks said I was obsessed with my dad, I’d wait for him to come out of the bathroom by sitting in front of the door, so no surprise my first word was dada!!! 😂🤣
It makes perfect sense that you'd be waiting for him by the bathroom door - you just wanted to be near him all the time🥰

I remember asking my mom when I was like 15 so this was a couple years ago what was my first word and my mom said “Ew” and I was like“Ew??” and she was like yeah you said “Ew” and I was like why and so she proceeded to tell me that it was around lunchtime so she put me in my highchair and she put me in there she went to get the food that was in the cabinet and at the same time my uncle ducky which is what me and my cousin called him he brings his friend over who is a female and as they walk into the kitchen my mom is about to feed me and she’s trying to open my food and immediately when I looked at the woman I said “E..EW!” They all started laughing and my mom mentioned to them that that was my first word and the woman was so happy that she was the reason I got myself to say my first word I have high functioning autism and have Noonan syndrome so I was only like seven months delayed on speaking i told my boyfriend and my friends the story and they all laughed I find it funny too😅😂😂
