I’ve only been into archery for the last few years but I’ve watched almost every school of nock video and I’m not saying I’m anywhere near perfect but I almost immediately started shootings better than guys I know that have been shooting for years, thanks for all the helpful info
That is really awesome to hear, Jeff! There are a lot of details in archery and each detail really adds up. The more you learn, and apply what you learn, the better you will continue to become. It's like anything in life, the more work you put in, the better you will become. NOCK ON!
@@nockonarchery I haven’t shot a bow in years and just jumped from an 80’s bear to a 2020 Mathew vxr 28. I was not bad with the old one but without even taking a shot with the new bow I know I’m already far better. My buddy sent my your RUclips link and said watch the school of knock, and I regret 0 seconds of everything I’ve seen so far.
I've had local shops tell me sights are usually fine out of the box, and that's totally not the case. To be a better archer, I've learned you have to know your equipment and how to work on it. As usual, this is great advice. Nock on!
You are spot on, Jon. Sights are not "fine out of the box" because they always need to be leveled to your specific bow. Can you get away with not adjusting a sight and slapping it on a bow? Sure. But doing so will never never allow someone to be great with their setup. And, the more you shoot slopes and angles the worse it will be. Thanks for the support and NOCK ON!
Thanks so much! I’ve watched several of these axis vids and always get lost at one point or another. This was the clearest, most easy to understand explanation yet. No need to look any further. Much appreciated.
Perfect timing! I received my Nock-On Fast Eddie 5 pin yesterday and swung by Gateway Archery in Fort Worth to have them install it. I watched some videos on the topic of 2nd and 3rd axis prior, and it was cool to watch them go through the process and understand it.
Nice video as usual. For years now I have used a plum door jam to do the same thing, just hold the sight flat to the jam and make adjustments from there. This video has got me wanting to try a Bright Sight
I just got my Spot Hogg and went straight to your channel for some Professional advice and someone who has ran them for years!!! Thanks for the knowledge drops!!!
John this is awesome. I literally listened to a podcast today “Leading Edge Archery “ and Bridger was talking about this. I so wanted to ask you about this. Full draw versus just setting 3rd axis in a bow vise? Thanks for all you give. I look forward to seeing you again at TAC.
Thx to you. Great skill and i like your "trasher magazine" /"nock on" shirt. (Sk8) Merci a toi. Grande compétence et j'aime le logo "trasher mag"/"nock on" sur le pull.🤘
love the vids ... you are an inspiration ... could you probably make this when the sight is on the bow ? ... and not a lot of equipment ... challange ? :)
I have a question….. aren’t the basic sight’s already manufactured and sent out square in all 3 axis’? Why would they send out sights that are not accurate?
I bought the hamskea level, set it according to their directions, shooting downhill it’s impossible to get my bubble level. I’m sure I’m just a dummy but I’m getting the britesite tool and gonna see how that works
Dear John: if you level the sight with this jig, we must assume that the holes in the riser and the riser itself is machined perfectly. How often is this the case?
as i,m winding power back up in my pse madness is it normal for the sight too be out the bow is shooting rather high since i went up a turn on the limb bolts
Technically wouldn't want to set up your 2nd and 3rd axis going off your string level as a reference just like setting up your arrow in the rest. Setting up my hoyt carbon spyder there really isn't anywhere I would trust to go off of considering its a tree limb lol.I must be missing something here if you are using your riser as a reference would it be be completed off.
why don't you want to just tell us what those brands are so we avoid buying them I just don't see why you wouldn't. who cares if you hurt their feelings maybe they'll improve their product. that's like going out to dinner with friends and saying, "without saying which one, one of your drinks has been poisoned I'm not going to say which one" 🤨

Same here 🤦♂️
The lack of give a crap from so many local shops is pretty disheartening. Just like you said the better you know how to diy the better off you are

Nice! Perfect timing to get that 2nd and 3rd dialed in. Enjoy your new sight!
Excellent video.I was wondering why there where no Brightsite levelers in stock anywhere. Then I saw this video 😀
Thank you for always having such great and informative content.
Thanks, Noah. That is much appreciated. Thanks for your support!

Thanks, Ryan!
Thanks again John !

Cool, Jason. Good timing! Good look and see you soon.
The second axis is off in the banner behind you !

Excellent topic

I've always leveled off of the bow string. I hear mixed reviews riser or string, Which one?
I bought the hamskea level, set it according to their directions, shooting downhill it’s impossible to get my bubble level. I’m sure I’m just a dummy but I’m getting the britesite tool and gonna see how that works
Hey, what was the name of the leveling system you used? Would be a great addition for the work bench.
Brite Site 3rd axis Leveler. The other tool is the Hamskea Gen2Pro #rd axis level.
Dear John: if you level the sight with this jig, we must assume that the holes in the riser and the riser itself is machined perfectly. How often is this the case?
Would this device be a good substitute for putting your bow in a Vice and making sure your string , 2nd and 3rd axis are set up correctly ?
Mr. Dudley, I’m assuming the people not to be named is hamskea. I just bought one of their leveling but am now wishing I had just gotten a Brite Site!
If you pre set your site using this tool and then put the site on your bow technically your 2nd and 3rd axis should be on right?
i own a edge 320, first bow. what should i get now?
Anyone know what mount he was using in the video!!?
hi im new to archery. what is the make and model of the leveling jig you use? keep up the great work, helped me alot so far.
Brite Site. Just search Brite Site 3rd axis level & You’ll find it
Can u use this with picatinny mounted sights ?
as i,m winding power back up in my pse madness is it normal for the sight too be out the bow is shooting rather high since i went up a turn on the limb bolts
Where to bay that tool or kit . i do not find it . And if they shipit to Norway !! Thanks ! Arne
How would this work with a garmin sight?

If you lean left wouldn't your arrow go right?
Don't you mean lean so your bubble goes left?
I like it!
😊
