Yeah it's hard to see Americans not have healthcare as a Canadian. Some of my family that lives in the states struggles. One time I gave my cousin a puffer for her son, cost me $20 or maybe it was free, and it helped to keep him out of the hospital which ended up costing her thousands. Privitization really screwd the average person up and I see it slowly happening up here.

I cry because when my faith in humanity is destroyed as it is by Trump and those folks who blindly follow his privileged bitterness and hatred, I am reminded that there are others in the World who are good people. It's scandalous how so many developed countries have universal affordable healthcare, tuition free college and vocational schools, great infrastructure, 4-5 week vacations, affordable child daycare, maternity leave, with tax rates similar or slightly higher, and at times even lower than those of the US. How are they able to do that? And they have right wing governments at times. They have free market, successful economies. They have immigrants like we do. They have elections, free and fair ones. They have lower crime rates, and still have right to bear arms. How do they do it? Their rights are like ours but with much higher quality of life. The only major difference is that interest groups are unable to buy politicians like in the US.
As an Englishman who lives in Scotland and who, during the last fifteen tears has spent a total of around fourteen months in Scottish (British) NHS hospitals, I van unequivocally recommend free-at-point-of-use healthcare - I mean when or then-Prime Minister Boris Johnson caught Covid-19, he was treated at St. Thomas', a large NHS teaching hospital in central London.

Bernie and Kamala shouldn't feel like Cambodia refugees in America. But the opposite, all these Cambodians, including myself, we feel like millionaires. We have education, food, healthcare, freedom, jobs, and places to live,etc. For me, I have my old little house in a 5-acre lot. I'm very happy. I work in a nursing home. I ski. At 68yo I still working full-time and skiing at mt hood meadows. I retired from the US Army and civilian. But one thing is no one completely satisfied with our own life. We have the priest, monk, or psychologist, etc to help us when we are off the track. Not with the politicians.
When she was done speaking last night, all I could think was “She’s going to be President one day.” What a stunning, passionate, powerful speech that hit hard on so many different points. Well done.
