What a great episode for USA sanda. Mathew Lee you are an incredible guest, I love your passion for wushu and I’m so happy your bringing sanda to the east coast. I’ll be representing CSA at the next China Open and I’m excited to see what’s coming for USA sanda. Thank you Coach Edgar for this episode, you did a great job! Jiayou!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Thank you for your comment and kind words, it means a lot coming from you! I saw you competed at the World Open Martial Arts Championship in New York which has now moved to Boston, and the All-American Sanda National Championships! You really put yourself out there and are a true Sanda fighter! Coach Edgar also told me you're a warrior and said he respected your sacrifice training online with him and then traveling to Laredo to train with him in-person for 5 weeks! By the way, the day Coach Edgar uploaded this podcast, Coach Joshua Peters of CPMMA informed me the World Fighting Martial Arts Federation is interested in having a USAWKF sanctioned Sanda event next year! This year they're only doing continuous sparring, point fighting, and some weapons fighting due to legal issues; evidently there's different city permits you need for full-contact fighting. Stay tuned, we're proactively working to create more Sanda fight opportunities for Sanda fighters like you! Looking forward to seeing you next year! 🙂

Thank you for having me again! I'm sorry we didn't get to share your training footage with the Beijing Wushu Sanda Team at the Beijing Shichahai Sports School, home of the Beijing Wushu Team (which has sadly been closed off to foreigners), that is exclusive and treasured content!
15:09 Apologies, Nationals was hosted in Mesa, not Phoenix, when it was in Arizona, I misspoke, my mistake!
1:14:22 I forgot to mention referee or platform judge Anthony Sims, previous nationally and internationally certified Sanda judge and commentator for the World Wushu Championships.
1:19:05 I did indeed do it wrong, it's the other way, for some reason I thought my webcam was mirrored, and it wasn't.
1:43:31 *Sport Promotion Workshop, not for "marketing", at the Sanda National Training Camp at United Martial Training Center in Lubbock, Texas, I was just assuming marketing was an aspect of that workshop and I was thinking about how to market and sell Sanda as a combat sport.
