Camping in the rain, Solo winter Truck Camp.

Spent the evening relaxing to the sound of rain on a tarp. Trying out some new gear and modifications to the Jeep.
The weather had called for snow earlier in the week but temperatures were just a bit too high for the elevation I was at. We end up getting enough rain to melt most the snow and turn the campsite into a muddy mess.
I have been working on a new camp setup for the Jeep, this is the first overnight with the new mods. A tailgate table to cook on and a few organization mods making cam setup a bit quicker and more organized.
For this trip I decided to just sleep in the 2 door wrangler, a bit small but
definitely doable. It is how I will use the Jeep when scouting new areas or when I am moving from camp to camp. It is also nice not having to put a tent on the muddy ground, less clean up at home. It would be nice to someday have a roof top tent, but I have had them in the past and it was not my favorite way to camp.

This video captures such a nice relaxing atmosphere. Its really a damn shame the algorithm isnt boosting this one. Really wish i was in a position to do this, it seems like a really nice way to spend an afternoon

Ha ha, yeah the burger was a bit big, the tailgate kitchen is working out pretty awesome, will be pretty handy this spring when turkey or mushroom hunting on the move!
