I've been getting questions and other comments asking what's the point of having savage axe and defender weapon etc etc. This run is just a "for-fun" showcase run of what if we had savage axe and defender CB back in high rank and that's about it. Putting more arbitrary rules such as no savage axe and no defender in an already arbitrary run is kinda pointless, and if that's the case we might as well use un-nerfed max might, un-nerfed weakness exploit and no clutch claw staggers (which you can't remove). Not everything has to be so serious all the time. Besides, 4 years ago I've already had a run that's the pure HR experience, after 3 months and 10 hours per day of grind, I was able to post one of the fastest uploaded times for AT Nergi TA rules back in the day, so if you wanna see an actual PURE high rank experience, just watch here and have a good day: ruclips.net/video/r3aPQUUgh70/видео.html
I have no issue with using savage axe, but I can understand ppl criticizing defender weapon. That weapon has no business being Rarity 7, it is too good to be even Rarity10. It is a weapon given to carry you all the way to Shara Ishvalda.
Yo! I started out with MH Rise and played that to my hearts content and now am trying World and am on Iceborne! This video made me realize how cool the CB is and also your build has given me a little hope because the grind for a good build in Sunbreak can be grueling but this looks doable! Great run and God bless fellow Hunter!
Very nice run brother! As a fellow Charge Blade user, i'm so appreciated that they came up with Savage Axe playstyle, it's so unique and stylish at the same time, imagine what people can do crazy things with it in base World.
I think this is a good way to see what a new player getting into monster hunter world late can accomplish before starting iceborne. Well, if it weren't for the decorations in your upgraded mantles.
02:54 May I ask the purpose of grabing the monster and do nothing after? I'm new to this game and normally I would attack the monster after grabing onto them.
The "claw stagger" or "clagger" is a state when a monster flinches and drools like that. The game designed this stagger as a way for you to use the clutch claw, meaning that if you clutch onto it, the flinch will be lenghtened wayyyyyy more than if you didn't clutch at all. Here HC just uses the extra time to attack again.
@@ashkecha3501 basically yea, by extending it there I was able to get 2 guaranteed attacks into a KO. Without clagger extension you can mostly fit in just 1 axe hit or 1 AED.
yea, easy 100% affinity and will never run outta white sharpness. Granted, if we're strictly not regarding defender weapons if they're too OP for HR, then blos tyrannis would be the next best thing.
At this level, I want to know if it's all muscle memory or if you still need absolute focus for each run. edit: just want to add that you did an amazing job spanking this monster. hopefully my clumsy cb performance will reach this lvl
ah yes 2 points of skills in mantles surely makes high rank armor and weapon equivalent to MR gear that has nearly double more raw damage and utility skills, right? 💀
Because what's the point and it's just for fun anyways? Even if you were to remove savage axe from the equation, you can't really replicate a true base MHW experience due to clutch claw and claw staggers' existence. The fact that the monster pauses for free and you get to tenderize which is basically an "IB moveset" is already so far deviated from the original experience. Besides, I guess not many people know about it but in my old MHW days I've already did a run after 3 months, 10 hours per day of AT Nergi in the true HR experience without defender weapons, in TA rules: ruclips.net/video/r3aPQUUgh70/видео.html
@@HCZS_MonsterHunter Fair enough. Yeah claggers kinda obliterated any hope of returning to the original experience. It’s a real shame they implemented the clutch claw in the way they did. The idea of a grappling hook is so cool, but not when it’s used exclusively to make monster parts squishier and fire them into walls for no reason.
@@bluemew6457 even if you weren't using the staggers to tenderize or wallslam, I can definitely tell you it made this fight WAAAAY easier compared to 4 years ago. But yeah it is what it is.

there actually is a mod to remove claggers 🤓

I gotta add, you are an excellent 10/10 player, this is not a criticism about your gameplay please dont get it wrong 😅

2:41 i can feel the panic
Watching you do this brings back so many memories
Man, time really flies. Base World PC release hits differently back in the day.

adding 2 more levels of attack boost does not change the overall outcome of a hunt by that much
True
Triangle, triangle, triangle 😂 btw nice run dude
Savage axe is fun nice run dude
high rank gear vs AT Velkhana next please :D
Amazing, now this motivated me to play CB
2:58 excuse me sir , do you mind telling me how do you cancel the ultimate and make it normal?
When going into SAED hold s and press normal attack once.

Hi, excuse my ignorance but, can anyone tell me how can go into AED so fast exactly at 2:59?
You can do AED from neutral on Axe Mode, just press both Atk buttons.
I just learned it now. press both attack buttons then cancel SAED by doing rising slash (Y or triangle in controller) while holding down
Nice run, even with all the bullshit I miss this fight. Shame we never got the MR AT version of him

I don’t mean to discredit you, as this is still incredibly impressive, but if you’re going to commit to high rank equipment, why use the IB moveset?
