When I was younger a cat was hit by a car and died on the road next to my road, my Mum took her in and called the number on her collar, the owner came and asked if we would bury her in our garden as she lives in the flats at the end of the street and doesn't have a garden.. So we just have someone else's cat buried in our garden 😂
In a way, it’s actually pretty sweet to think about-the owner wanted to make sure the cat had a nice place to be buried and not just gotten rid of. So you’ve got someone else’s cat but it was a much loved one
@@LillaR-b2e oh no I find it incredibly sweet! I've got so many cute and funny memories to do with animals because my mum was such a lover of nature and animals 🥰 we even had a pigeon for a little while!

I love that idea so much, my childhood dog (rip) was a greyhound and was honestly the sweetest thing, he was likely a racer dog the abandoned, when the dog shelter found him he wa roaming the streets until my nan took him and I'm forever thankful she did The greyhound thing his a great idea x

The other thing with greyhounds is they are a universal blood donor for other dogs, my uncle rescued two, one an ex racer and one an ex donor dog that was basically kept like they keep Mad Max in Fury road
The thing about the cat. Many years ago, I'd popped to the shop and when I got back, my neighbour said sorry to say Pete that your cat's been ran over. He'd wrapped him in a blanket and placed him in a box. So I went ahead and buried him in my back garden. The following morning my lodger at the time said 'I though You said Your cat was dead', of which I replied something like of course he is, don't flip about. Turns out my cat was at the back door, and I'd buried someone else's cat that was a spitting image of mine. I ended up having to put a few notes on the street, 'Is Your cat missing? please come and see me at my house' sorta thing. A Mother and child came, and had to explain that their cat had been ran over but rest assured he was buried with the upmost of respect. Needless to say, I felt like complete wally 🙂

Its also not unknown for shady people to cut the microchips out of dogs and transfer them to hide a dogs history.

Most of the time grey hounds are abandoned especially when they have raced they have thier ears cut as the tattoo numbers of the owner
