    Guys Tigers don't need a key defender @10, we have gibcus balta young miller and blight. Even if next years key fwd prospects are good we'll still need 2 key forwards. So we'll take Shanahan or Armstrong this year and then take the best key fwd next year

    • @Sebsta04

      @sentimentalbloke185 3 дня назад +4

      Yes, agree, Tigers have plenty of good defenders, they just need to play together more & develop their system. Don't understand people urging them to take a key defender when it'd be better in the longer term to get a key forward to develop.

    • @SuperBLUEIRIS

      @@SuperBLUEIRIS So were Astbury & Grimes in the beginning. Tigers need a key forward more than a key defender. Forwards are harder to find & develop.

    a great demonstration of why the tigers are probably better off not trading, they will get 2 of those elite group of mids and keep those other first round picks for where the best talls will be

    • @DEADMEM3
      @DEADMEM3 3 дня назад

      As they touched on, Jagga likely gets taken earlier if Norf trade down with another team, but that still leaves us with Reid, and id personally much rather Lalor and Reid + another over Lalor and FOS. I love Jagga a bit too much, but if we aren't gonna pick him at 2, then we dont need said pick

    • @anappropriatehandle
      @anappropriatehandle 3 дня назад

      @DEADMEM3 yeah you are basically guaranteed someone good to go with Lalor, I wouldn't trade if I had the pick

    it's hard to know which players are going to slide but there will be some.
    What I will say is I would be happy with either Smith, Langford or Smillie at our pick 6.
    I think Sam Lalor is firming as the number 1 pick.

    Great video as a Richmond supporter I don’t think they are interested going in defenders because we’ve already got Gibcus,Brown,Balta,Broad,Miller,Blight,Trezise and Smith. I think they are going for Mids and small forwards.

    • @DylanAlexanderFollowsDraft
      @DylanAlexanderFollowsDraft 3 дня назад +1

      Hey mate! Reid doesn’t have a lot athletically! He’s more a footy IQ guy, think Sheezal, Steele Sidebottom type. He’s one that feels like he’s playing in slow motion while everything around him is chaotic. Super creative by hand too!

    • @BLiTzToRiOuS
      @BLiTzToRiOuS 3 дня назад

      @@DylanAlexanderFollowsDraft Problem is Tigers need speed and skill. For me Lalor and Jagga fit that if they stay 1/6 and if they had 1/2 they prob go Lalor and FOS based on upside and FOS performance as a bottom ager over this year injury issues. I like M/Reed as he just finds the footy everywhere but I think Jagga is a better accumulator and Extractor. Although the tigers could use all 3 or even Lalor/Jagga/Langford but unfortunately they spent too much on Hopper and Toronto. Toronto is a good inside mid until he needs to dispose of the footy and hit a target over 15m away. Hopper the jury is out as he can't stay on the park but his disposal is also woeful but he can play the defensive stopper role at clearance. Prestia just doesn't have enough in the tank and his disposal is also woeful. Injuries have killed his explosiveness. Tigers need help everywhere.

    Good but not great. Poss would trade up for FOS if this was the outcome. (Hate to see Carlton with this pick.) If Armstrong got through to 10 would take that first. Possibly Shanahan may be at 18. I would personally go for hybrid needs - Allen and Hotton at 10&11. Power and speed plus class and poise. Hotton is that Edwards/Bolton type.

  • @TNT_12
    @TNT_12 3 дня назад +4

    You guys mention how St Kilda's midfield is too one-paced/lacks speed, but then you also select 2 blokes in Reid and Langford who do not have the required explosive/burst/acceleration traits to fix that critical issue??? Guys like Bo Allan and Travaglia (who could easily have the same HB-to-midfielder trajectory that Young and Day had) are way better suited for St Kilda's needs

  • @mister_football9017
    @mister_football9017 3 дня назад +5

    Atrocious from a Richmond POV. They don't need key backs, or rebounding flankers. They need mids, pace, forwards. Backs are last on the list. For key backs they have Balta, Gibcus, Miller, Blight all 25 and under. Kositschke is probably better suited down back as well. For the Travaglia types they still have Vlastuin and Broad as well as young developing players Brown (a first-rounder) and Trezise. Banks is also best suited to half-back but might be developed as a winger. Kaleb Smith is a bit smaller but also a rebounder the club rates highly after a fantastic VFL season.
    If it worked out the way you have it, Richmond would possibly take Langford instead of Smith, then definitely two of Armstrong, Lindsay, Hotton or Allan instead of Trainor and Travaglia.
    Finally, there really is no point doing these if you're going to stick with North at 2 and give them Tauru. As you acknowledge yourselves, it won't happen. If you're going to mock the draft, mock the trade. We know it likely involves Richmond getting 2 and North getting 6 or 10, with other picks involved. So work from there.

    • @JMar1011
      @JMar1011 3 дня назад

      They 100% need a rebounding defender with Rioli leaving. Agree with the forward. Pick 10 and 11 will be Travaglia and a key forward. They also do not need to trade for pick 2 as we will get 2 gun mids and pick 1 and 6.

    • @mister_football9017
      @mister_football9017 3 дня назад

      @@JMar1011 They 100% don't need to draft a rebounding defender this year. They will go Lindsay before Travaglia as he's quicker, a better kick and a better mid option.

    I don’t think Richmond should do a Deal with North for Pick 2 but if they do ? Then Lalor , O’Sullivan , Armstrong are 3 selections in the Top 10 THANKS! If Armstrong is gone then cash in on Lindsay , Hotton , Travagalia , Shanahan this is why I’m not a big fan of the Trade with North ? As someone good is going to Slide down to 6 to 12 range as much as I want O’Sullivan at the Tigers it means pick 6 and 20 we would lose could be Stars out of this Draft? Do we go with one Star in O’Sullivan or 2 Stars with picks 6 & 20 ? Pick 6 could be very important pick this year ? A lot of Clubs are interested in Lindsay and he will most likely be gone to Melbourne or St.Kilda at there picks but Richmond could jump them with getting Lindsey at pick 6 if Armstrong is gone ? And if Melbourne has not got Lindsay at 5 ? 🧐👀. 🏆17 🏆19 🏆20 🐅🐅🐅

    Id hate it if the Saints take Reid and Langford. Centre bounce explosive, burst away, clearance, goal kicking Midfielders is the NEED. If Smillie is on the board at 7, draft him. Trade pick 8 to Richmond for 11 and 20. Whats the point of drafting a guy (langford) if he doesnt fit our needs in the midfield? Might as well trade down from 8 and STILL draft 2 more players in the first round. I really would consider a key position player at 8 if the saints keep it. Membrey, Campbell, Hayes and Battle, ALL key position players have left the club now, Id rather take Harry Armstrong (Key Forward), Tauru or Trainor (Key Back)at Pick 8, instead of another one-paced 20+ possession a game type mid.
