This video is awesome, left all the options to the cook, just a simple explication of “How To”, love that. No “ you have to do this”, again, love it. Great Job, I am glad to see (hear) that I am not the only one that cuts my chicken and use proper flatware.
Not the first time you have made this. I love watching your videos and facial expressions. Keep the Dead Plants BBQ Series going. I always checkout all your grills in the background. It reminds me of a woman’s shoe closet. Decisions, decisions on which item to cook with. Does anyone at home wear gloves when they BBQ?
Armadillo Pepper BBQ, I have a retirement home in Estero and when we retire, my wife and I want to drive up and have a cook with you. We can bring some good European beer. Belgium is considered the finest. I’ll even bring you a new plant.
Those chicken thighs look fantastic Jeff! I hear you about the competition style, I helped at one and the chicken prep is wild, I'd take those any day. Your shirt cracks me up. Hope you guys have a great week!
The Chickenmiester rides again. Those turned out nice Jeff. Easy enough too. Just pick it up and bite it right. lol I need to get a pan. Not sure we have enough room for another pan.
Thanks for jarring my memory hadn’t had this in a long while going to make this for finger(hand)food at Super Bowl party. I could watch that sh-t eating grin every time you take that first bite every day got to ❤️ it😂
If you do this for the super bowl, you can use a disposable aluminum pan if you need to make a lot. I've done that a few times and gave a video about it. I don't get to eat real food much, so it makes me happy when I do 😁.
I think Myron Mixon claims to have invented this; though he used a regular muffin pan (and trimmed and wasted 1/3 of each thigh to make them pretty and uniform). They look like something I should try. I've heard that many of the things comp cooks do are actually overwhelming in large quantities (they want an explosion of flavor in one bite to win). This looks good; I bet I could have eaten all four with no problem. Have a great week.
Thank you Ken. I believe you are correct about Myron using a muffin pan, but with holes in it sitting on a tray....at least what I've read. I haven't talked to the guy. This technique is real similar to the butter bath chicken thighs I did in a disposable aluminum pan. I did eat 3 or these 😁. You got snow up there?
@@Armadillopepper We have about an inch or so on the ground. It snows a little; then rains, and then changes back. The high seem to stay around freezing. It makes the gravel roads squirrely to drive on, but I haven't had to shovel.
I have what is going to sound like a strange request. Would you be able to do a video on how you clean inside of your pit boss and share how often you have to clean it? I have the same pit boss and am fairly new to it and I didn't want to cover the inside doors over the firebox with foil (like some people do with pellet grills). But I am noticing it gets quite dirty and trying to clean it isn't that easy...Thanks!
Hi Chris, I'm not the best person when it comes to cleaning. I don't put foil on mine either. When I notice the plates getting stuff on them, I move them to the yard and use my grill brush to scrape them clean. Because of the humidity here, I do clean out the cup every few times of cooking and while I'm doing that, I go ahead and remove all the ash in the bottom.
5:38AM and I'm wanting to taste this chicken. Looks fantastic Jeff. Thanks. Oh, almost forgot. Have you thought of selling some of the t-shirts you wear too? I like the one you have on and there others I've seen you wear that I'd like to add to my wardrobe.
Great video the time as usual! But it did seem blurred or out of focus. I know there have been problems, but I was like see a full review on the Pit Boss
I improvised with a small baking dish and shit it was good I have a fussy 17yr old boy and he woofed down 2 so A1 bring it on and do you do anything with the big easy?
@@martinwitherspoon7782 Glad you guys liked them. I actually filmed Voodoo chicken legs wrapped in bacon on the big easy a couple of weeks ago, but we had audio issues with the mic. So I need to redo it.
Wrapped in bacon is always good for me, but get a bunch of grease in the pan with the chicken. Apple juice instead of the chicken broth might give you more sweetness. Let me know if you try it.

Thank you Kenneth. We really appreciate the kind words.
I love the simplicity of this cook, set it and walk away! Best part of pellet grills and electric smokers!
I'd agree there is something to be said about not needing to tend to the fire and adjust vents 😁.
I don't know how I missed this one. Chicken thighs are my favorite cut on the whole bird. Thanks for sharing Jeff. = )
Thank you Rants.
I love doing muffin pan chicken, we call them chicken balls! Looks really good, nice sauce mix too! Thank's for sharing take care my friend!
Good to hear from you DW and thanks! Hope all is well in the home of flying pigs!

I would put that broth and butter in a frying pan and make gravy. Great cook .Looks great and easy to do. Thanks!
Gravy is something I don't get enough of!
Wow they looked great! Going to try this in the spring when it warms up!
Thanks Carl. You got snow?
@@Armadillopepper Thankfully, no. Just alot of rain! Our back yard is nothing but mud. Hopeing it dries out soon!

Thank you Tom. Have a great Sunday afternoon.
Great job. Love seeing a matching rub and sauce used
I really like this sauce/rub combo. Really appreciate you watching and the feedback.

Great way to do those thighs Jeff! They start out ugly and end up so appealing! Delicious video bud!!
