Someone who actually takes the TTC and biking infrastructure . Politicians should be required to use public transportation to really see the impact cuts have in the city and how underfunded the infrastructure is .
I know! I'm a Crossing Guard and have to go down to work and back 3 times each day; the pot holes are like an obstacle course. I can't believe how horrible the roads are. It's a bad joke. We need someone to stand up to Doug Ford's destruction. His cuts to health care, education and downloading services to municipalities has made dities unsafe, violent, unfriendly and just plain horrrible. Trudeaus' lack of vision hasn't helped.
Total PR she can barely balance on that bike or ride near kids,
@@SonicPhonic ask TruDoped to chip into our Covid budget deficits
@@TheJlee28 If it's such a good idea, why don't you do it?
@@SonicPhonic do what? It’s the federal and provincial government’s’ responsibilities to combat Covid crisis as the city can’t get into debt. City of Toronto does not issue municipal bonds, province and fed do. Ontario has paid its share but TruDoped dodges as Freeloader can never get her budget approved by the parliament.
Learn your politics please if you’re a legit voter of any government.
Btw, freeloader’s answers to senate was ridiculous in why she gave 2bn away to her friends in “environmental cause.”
Fed corruption is causing all municipalities to suffer. Listen to premiers meeting. They all are asking TruDoped to chip in.
Good luck to her, hope she can make toronto a better place
Who ever allowed her to do this NEEDS TO BE FIRED. This was a very bad idea.
Lovely propaganda piece by the CBC
Hope she doesn't drive the same way.
should've done the interview on a park bench
...I think it's something of a tribute to her deceased husband Jack Layton; there's a sculpture of him on a bike at the ferry docks.
Biking is not allowed in Grange Park!
Is it not? I didn’t Know that but I always walk through it when I used to work at the area.
Virtue signaling sadness 😢
Chow rides like Biden.
I approve of seniors that still ride bikes.
This is proof that donkeys can talk
Wow, talk about a lack of awareness as a train of cars follow two cyclists in the middle of the road. Just wow!!
Probably why there should be a bike lane
Now you got elected as Mayor ( Olivia Chow ). The best solution to build homes ( low income and refugees ) is to send notices to OLG and other gambling houses operating in Toronto to donate 20% of their profits to City of Toronto, it could count as charities or whatever. No need for you to raise property taxes, this money will cover all your projects. Currently they might be donating to Ontario and federal, if you put a condition like this they will comply.
I wonder where those billions in cannabis tax revenues are dissapearing to.
@@gto1607 To give loans to foreign governments and civil servants benefits.
By renaming Dundas square under woke mob pressure, she’s causing chaos and confusion. 😮
lol I still call it Dundas square it’ll never be anything but that
Ok she looks very unnatural on the bike 🚴 just being honest.
It's difficult to bike slowly beside someone and have a conversation. You have to bike much more slowly than you normally would which makes the bike less stable, and you have to look at them occasionally while fighting the natural inclination to drift where you're looking. It's all very unnatural and not really something people do.
She is more embarrassing than Rob Ford

By the look of things, it doesn't look like Olivia has been on a bike very much. She is very unsteady and unconfident on 2 wheels. I'll also bet she's never been on public transit before either...
She sounded a bit out of breadth during the interview. Does she really cycle to work everyday or is it all staged?
Age cycles to work.
are you not supposed to ride bikes in single file? no wonder car people hate bikes as they always break the law and this is the mayor now
you can ride side by side it counts as a full vehicle
@@kipuvi9181 Riding two abreast is fine, but cyclists need to move to single file if cars are behind and not able to pass. Hope she drives her car better then the bike.
This footage is kinda shaky.
Toronto is going to get what they vote for ha ha. Ha
Yeah she is going to fund public transit and shelters.😂
Um, the TTC is horrible. It's slow, inefficient, and not safe. Stabbings every other week. No thanks.
I own a house downtown and I can walk most places faster than the awful streetcar. That system is useless. It blocks traffic, it's constantly having to be repaired .... too many councillors clinging to this romantic notion of the streetcar... ugh we should have 30 yrs ago invested into more subways. Before 1 building was built near the skydome Roger's centre, they had an easy place to start building a subway west but Olivia Chow, and then Adam Vaughan, thought ohhhh streetcars will service these people. Tens of thousands on the streetcar? Seriously? The King st Streetcar only thing is a joke. OH boy look we gained 2 minutes across downtown Toronto by screwing drivers and trucks!!
Wake up Toronto, put your big kid pants on. Olivia will jack your taxes up, plow money into useless projects like public housing ghettos and do nothing for the common citizen.
i like streetcars they look cool and they're electric
@@gabrieldsouza6541 looking cool doesn’t mean it’s efficient or practical. They are slow and will always have a bunch of cars idling behind the streetcar trying to get by. Subways are electric, carry alot more passengers and travel much faster.

@@gabrieldsouza6541 you make a perfect NDPer. Slow plodding transportation that gets in a lot of other people’s way slowing their commute, creating more emissions than necessary. The hard working middle class have to struggle to buy a house and have long commutes while the gang member’s family live downtown in a townhouse nobody can afford.

Her politics are most likely as shaky as her riding a bike. If anything the video was entertaining.
She was riding the bike too slowly so it would be hard for her to keep the balance
Hey it’s the cop defunding freak 😂😂 better she on a bike than driving
If only you paid half as much attention to ford, and his no policy policies.
Hey I have my drivers licence but I don't know how to stay in the right lane so faster moving traffic can pass.
Holy, she can almost ride a 2 wheeler!
I didn't vote for her to cancel hosting the world cup.

You realize Olivia Chow and the Canadian TaxPayers Federation are different, right?
Just because someone calls on the mayor to do something, doesn't mean they will do it.
We have no money
Olivia is fantastic. Very grounded and inspired! Working in harmony. It's a good time to be in Toronto I think. If you want to be part of positive change and the hard work behind it, this is your time! 🎉❤
No she's awful crime will increase and taxes abd ttc fares will go up
Ask Chow how she and Layton got into ontario housing unit with a 6 figure income and kids in private school? Why did she think that was okay to stay there for years
Maybe ask how Doug Ford has 5+ houses?
She paid market rent. She got in as her mom was abused by her father and she must get housing and Olivia cared for her mom. After Layton and her got into city council, they bought a house and returned that housing to the city.

It's the weird GoPro mounts, they're making every tiny movement on the bars look like a kid about to fall over. She bikes almost every day.

Olivia Chow is a great Mayor
Props to her for trying, but she's really struggling to talk and cycle at the same time. Her focus is clearly more on keeping balanced. That's not the sign of someone that bikes frequently, as doing both would come as easily as talking and walking.
It's because they were biking at a very slow speed. Anybody would struggle when you're going that slow for the cameras.
@@noseboop4354 Anybody would struggle? Not true at all. For starters they were moving quicker than the people walking and she was shaky even on the open road. I bike daily, can do a full stop and stay balanced better than that. Heck, I have a 6yr old that can talk and balance better at an slow walking pace. Speaking from experience, anyone that bikes frequently wouldn't struggle like that; but again I give her credit for trying to do the interview with such an odd request of biking from CBC.
