I’d never heard this song (it was new) and I saw them live. During the peak crescendo ( “Show me the light, Goddam!” part, I actually screamed. It’s terrifying to be pulled that wide open.
@@montek3885 lots of folks are into harsh vocals. i like efrim's singing. i also like screamed lyrics, nightcore, extreme distortion, and noise music though so i'm probably not representative of a lot of folks. one of my favorite punk singers literally sounds like they have a severe speech impediment but i'm not sure if it's just a stylistic choice or not for them. it's definitely something you can come to appreciate though. i didn't always like ASMZ and a bunch of my friends HATED efrim's voice while loving GYBE, but over time almost everyone came to really enjoy his and similar artists' vocals. ASMZ would be worse for it if efrim had a "conventional" vocal style.
@@Fottrel Hey, I had pretty much the same experience lol I used to stick exclusively to fully instrumental ASMZ songs but over time the singing just grew on me. Now I can't imagine them with any other vocal style.
No words can describe, no band can compete, no need to comment anymore. Efrim, you are a god!
Las palabras correctas !!👌🏻
This has to be the most beautiful music I have ever listened to.. the voice, passion and brightness near the end is so magical

I have seen this amazing group in concert in Nice France, They are AWESOME. Love this performance... Great feelings and music.;
I love this album so much, every song
This song encompasses this band.
BUT IVE BEEN WAITING AND LONGING FOR THAT LIGHT TO FALL ALL OVER ME!
My plea to humanity
there is a light
Got no shame in admiting that i found out this band through the "13 angels standing guard" song when it was being memed to hell and back.
Our luck homey, our luck.
Really hope they tour again
best Silver Mt Zion song in my opinion
THERE IS NO NIGHT, FOR THERE IS A LIGHT.

Thank you, afreakingpanda.
Tell me there is a light
There is a light.
I just hope you told him in time, John.
there is a light. there always was.
I accidentally had this and a live version open at around the same times; a bit of lag on this one loading. Regardless, the sounds were magnificent!

If that was sung one octave lower I could bear the voice maybe
great stuff, not to keen on his voice though...quite annoying :( love the violins and THE BASS!!!
his voice is what makes it- such raw beauty and emotion
If only he could sing...
Do people genuinely listen to this? Unironically?
Fair point, I'm a fan and even I have a tough time accepting the dude's singing.
Bob Dylan can't sing but his songs are still enjoyable. But for me, personally, I like this raw voice. It embodies pain and I feel I can relate to it.
