It's something we should expect every year considering the British music industry is one off the biggest in the world. Unfortunately participating in Eurovision has no real incentive for our global artists

Yeh it happens every year. We create a good song but someone else is always just that little bit more catchy. I love this one but to be honest out off all that performed I wouldn't have voted above the others. Made up for the lad, he lived his dream. Should be proud he got the place in the eurovision after the 'you decide' show.
The performer didn´t perform well enough and the song is boring and a little too repetitive I´m afraid, but on this studio recording it sounds great.

It's because firstly the jury vote is decided on the rehearsal performance and not the live performance, and secondly the songs recently have just not been good enough. The only genuine potential winner in recent years in my opinion was Molly Smitten-Downs in 2014

The message of the video is not about the parents. It's about the children who will (and do) make friends with whoever they like - no matter what.
Hipotenuza the narrative is about two unlikely friends (young Michael and Jasmine) being brought together by their common love of outer space, only to face “bigger” problems between their parents trying to pull them apart. They make a brave choice and take a simple, rebellious stand by following their hearts anyway. Searching for their children, the parents realize they are not that different after all as they both love their children deeply. In the end, we see grown up Michael and Jasmine on the hillside stargazing. They have stayed friends for years and teach us love is bigger than any problem we face.
I think I actually shed a tear watching this. The story of so strong and I’m so proud of Michael!!

OMG literally till the moment I watched this video I thought the song's lyrics are just filled with random chiche generic words and have no particular meaning so I didn't had it high in my top, but the video has just changed this on 180 degrees, like a magic wand!! It brought me to tears and made me suddenly get all the deep message hidden in the song!!

The Hoovian Lucie was quite good too but I still think this is better.
Molly had an ok song but I thought that her performance on the night was very bland .
Her staging was bland and predictable.
and she could have given us so much more.
And I didn’t personally think an awful lot to Blues entry.
I think most of us were actually backing Jedward that year, Blue may as well have not shown up.

The Hoovian well I have to admit that “my time” wasn’t too bad of a song although it’s still not something I would seek out music wise, and Bonnie Tyler, sounded like she was on 3 packs of bensons a day.
And again, I considered it to be a weak song for the purposes of Eurovision.
I think the idea with Eurovision is to put on a great performance and bring fresh ideas to the table, and the bbc were seriously misunderstanding the show.
“Believe in me” wasn’t really a great song and Bonnie Tyler ought to have been given something better than that
