Hi Dr Divya, what about all in one books like jyotsna rao, abeda jumani? I have seen these books have structures of answers especially for Biochemistry
As mentioned, they aren't entirely correct. It's more of a shortcut and the best you can do with 'em is to use them as question banks!

Hey, Damle is good for Ug level only. For Pg.. to be honest till date I haven't referred to textbooks as such. They are good for basics but not enough for MDS level. I have only read from articles. We collect about 5-6 articles on each topic.. make notes and study from them :)

Yes!! they are great books but very vast. Don't make the mistake of using them in the last phase of prep.. start early with those books!
U said padmaja is better while in another vdeo i just watched u told it lacks classification bcz of which ull not be recommending this over K.D . Tripathi...so maam now im confused what to refer??
Hey, let me clarify that.
How to master pharmacology is a much older video than the book’s recommendation video. The Padmaja book I was talking about in the recommendations video is the latest edition and a much better one!
KD Tripathi is amazing but I had a hard time studying it, especially if it was last minute prep. But the content in it is excellent. Padmaja has always been to the point. If you would have continued watching the master pharmacology video, you would have seen that I recommended a small book which has only classifications. You can buy the latest edition Padmaja and the small book for classifications or just refer to RUclips channels.
Hello Di, I'm first year BDS student...can you please tell is tencate's good for oral histology? In case i don't follow ORBAN'S one will that matter?
Heyy! Tencate’s is undoubtedly one of the standard textbooks but please keep in mind that’s is very extensive. Difficult to read at times. Orbans is much better and that’s what I use even today.

I studied Vishram Singh only. I still refer it during my MDS days also. It's an amazing book :)

Here in our state West Bengal all the colleges, most of the seniors and teachers ask to read book named 'BD Chaurasia' for anatomy !!! So should I prefer BD Chaurasia for BDS first year !!! I am very afraid of what is gonna happen in the first year, and I am seriously concerned about Anatomy !!! Pls help didi !!!
And another thing is that there is also a precise dental version of BD chaurasia but some students dont follow that book !!! Should I go for it ?

Is exam pattern annual or semester wise in BDS 1st year or it depends on the dental college in which you study please guide
It's university exams these are the exams conducted once at the end of the year there will be no semesters for bds . only final year aka 4th year has sem 1 and sem 2 . ( PS : This info is according to private dental college where i am studying in )
Ma'am, how is Neville different from Shafers for Oral Pathology? because most of them suggest Shafers.

Depends from college to college. Most of the colleges don't pay. I too, never recieved stipend during bds.
If they pay it'll be 2k-5k.

I don't think you need any special material as such. Pls remember that your questions will be based of the subject you're reading. So reading your standard textbook will do all the work!!
@@DivyaGiridharan ma'am bt like for prof exams we prepare for the questions which were asked in last ten years so bcoz of that we miss lot of topics like in pharma we don't read about all the drugs..I wanna ask if learning any the imp drugs is sufficient or we need to study every single thing written in book for mds neet
See the best suggestion I can give you is.. buy Dental impulse or any NEET prep book. Just take a glance at the type of questions they've asked.. areas they've focused on. You'll kinda realise that most of it what u read in UG level.
Also remember that no matter how much u study.. 20% of the paper is bouncers only. It can be asked from anywhere.
Also, if not book, you can collect previous year NEET question papers and do the same.

NEET MDS books don't offer new content. It's just questions from your theory framed in MCQ format.

I've never heard or refered that book.
Thara is easy to understand same content present as in padmaja .I completely relayed on thara .It has lot of flow charts than padmaja so that it will be easy to understand .

Hi, so I'm already a BDS student and as far I have come across you don't really need to have in depth Knowledge of maths as far as dentistry is concerned but only the basics. And coming to dental materials it would be encouraged if you are well versed In chemistry and physics of 11 and 12th as this will help you comprehend with the general properties of dental materials. Hope this clears your doubt
Hey! It's ok. You don't need math. I myself am a PCB student from 11th. I did have a tad bit problem during biostatistics (PHD) in 4th year but it's ok. You can take a little help from your friends. It's all basic math. You'll be fine 🙂
