To everyone out there talking shit: I spent 3 months looking for any charger 68/69/70 in the Dallas Ft Worth area and nothing. I ended up driving accross the country for a 70 numbers matching R/T car with a non running engine and floors completely rusted through for $25000 that needs another 30 grand in everything not counting my labor. So for a running car 440 or not with decent paint 35 grand is not a lot of 💰. So if all you do is watch gas monkey and think you are an expert on restorations but drive a 99 Civic please don't talk shit
How could anyone not love those taillights? I claim that my 68 Charger has the finest ass of any car ever made :) Which is cool, because that's what most other drivers see the most of :)
Gotta love America, where 318CU is a small engine, thats 5.2 litres, the average car in the UK is 1.6 litres. Fricken insane. Nice looking Charger tho...
I mean it's only really considered small for drag racing reasons because they like those big blocks or bigger small blocks, but a 318 is a running son of a gun, just depends if you had one what would the use be for, basically all depends on your gearing and setup
That would suck, the smallest engine in any of my vehicles is a 307 5.0l. My favorite is the 455 in my 1970 olds 442, my biggest is in my dually truck 460.
318 was a great engine if you wanted ok power and amazing reliability. A lot of them still on the road today. My first car was a 69 coronet with a 318 auto trans, great car and regret ever selling it (of course 20 plus years ago wasn't a big deal). Miss the days of being able to buy these for reasonable prices and enjoying them. It's a rich mans game these days.
What a color: I love dark green. And this is one of the nicest greens I have ever seen! Whoever buys this car gets a good one. It will need some more work on the body soon. I dealt with carsellers a lot. And specially in the States people will promise you a lot and many people selling you vehicles are nothing but liars. You are extremely honest and highlight small flaws that many buyers would not even see.I only hope that this gemsgoes to a good home.
Man love that car awesome green couldnt imagine it in person. Wish I was watching your channel and had money when this was for sale. Wish I could have bought a project duster or dart for me and my son to do. One day keep up the vids.
Chris, I just went myself! First car I learned to drive in was a 68 Charger. Green white top with white interior 318 powered. Loved it. Still love those 68 Chargers
I am not a green person either......but even with the flaws you pointed out...….that IS a nice ride.....and you should have no problem getting the 35 K for it Chris......good luck..!!
i love her a great reliable daily nice and smooth no drama car and looks uber cool wish i could have her shipped here to UK going to talk to my brother in GA tonight
If I want a Charger I would buy one from you Chris!! A Big Hello from Ontario Canada and you even make me want one but not atm. The Grinch is one nice car and the video came out great it will get sold for sure your work speaks for itself man !!
@@vurtane Sadly we have summer here too Lol. The cars are stored indoors and we have some nice ones up here but not as many rust free ones thats why we pay big bucks 😵 and buy them from a dry part in the southern States. Look at BC and Alaska they have many rust free cars also. Where I live they use salt in the winter bad for any car but what ugonna do about it.
@@vurtane Besides the rust on cars the price of classic cars houses and gas just to name a few are insain now. Sweet ride, The color looks to be the same Mystic Green that was on my 96 Harley It was a one year paint color for that year.. I love the look of that car Hope you get what your asking for it or close to it
Dude that's a sweet ride !! I know what you mean about the after market gauges I put a after market fuel gauge in my 68 Plymouth Satellite and now when I fill the tank up the reads empty and when the tank runs dry it reads full.
Holy freakin' Frejolie. $35 K??? maybe worth it. i mean, my '69 was $750 in '77. yes it had been hit (drivers door didn't line up) But it had the 383 Mag, 727 Posi. After 3 years got hit while parked. During the gas crisis, i tried to sell it for $800 before that happened.. Sure, little damage to the hood and fender and some trunk rust but ran good. One guy looked at it and walked away. I decided to keep it. Almost sad to admit the $1065 insurance money was nice. I've had dreams about that car thru the years. Luckily i never killed while it was mine.
Beautiful car, Chris. Curious to learn more about how you tuned the carburetor to the car. Do any of your previous videos go into detail about the O2 sensor in the exhaust, vacuum gauges, meter block, power valves, etc.? I’d like to do the same thing with my 69 GTX. Thx
Guy I knew around here had a '68-or-9 Dart that had a 318 in it out of a Chris-Craft, and he used to beat 340 Dusters with that car routinely, and beat out a '72 Roadrunner with a 440 by a nose once. If memory serves, all he did was convert the intake, waterpump, exhaust and the oilpan...it bolted right up to the bellhousing, with a 4 speed. He said the car could do that because the marine 318 had higher compression, and other mechanical stuff I don't understand, but I used to ride around in that Roadrunner he beat, and that car was a neck breaker, and he knew how to drive it too...I always liked them 'ol Darts...
The charger speaks from the dead and the living people that built it originally!!!!!!!!!!!!!This charger is driven and worked on by people that love chargers!!!!! I am one that loves charger's enough to drive one!!!!!!!!!!!! This charger is beautiful and awesome!!!!!! This charger will sell itself!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Beautiful, Chris. Unfortunately, I live in Scotland otherwise Id be coming to see it! Anyone who follows your channel sould be happy to by a car off you- dont strike me as the kind of guy who's going to burn someone (especially on a Charger!)
How cute that little small block looks in there, but it just looks so small in that engine bay. That color is bad ass for green. Nice car in need of big block. Lol! Interior is nice too. Sweet ride. ▪☆☆☆▪
Big fan of 68-70 Chargers, '69 being my favorite. I like the front grill with the divider and the tail lights of the '69 & '70 better! "Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry"
That stinks a new wood steering wheel cracked. I have a 1969 AMC AMX 390 GO PACK WITH EVERY AVAILABLE OPTION. THE GUY THAT BUILT IT 30 YEARS AGO BOUGHT A 1970 AMC AMX And replaced every amazing thing in 1970, heads,, front clip because it's beautiful, steering wheel because it wasn't wood, brakes. He was a wizard. Loved you made it a daily driver, me too. Neal
I know it's sold but I wanted to say I am not a fan of Green but this is a sweet looking ride. I wish I could have had at least a 318 in my 1974 Duster. You do amazing work.
this car is now my new favorite. I really hope 10 years from now I'll be able to make purchase similar to this car's status range. I definitely want a driver, not a show car that just stresses you out. However this grinch isn't exactly my dream car, but it could be with a few changes. I want a 69 charger with a 426 and a floor shifter. and I would love the stripe on the rear trunk to be white. I do love the green body color though.
Someone got a smoking deal! No doubt that car would sell for close to 70k now. Charger market is just insane. So glad I've had a chance to own a '69 and just scooped up a 70 before they skyrocket to the moon as well.
I have a 68 Charger 383 4bbl. AC, number matching, console shift, bucket seats, blk, inteior silver body, power steering non power brakes, drums all around, rally dash, no real mods done and in fantastic condition in northeast Florida. $35,000 also, talk to me.

How much total do you want for the Dodge Charger total i will buy it😏

1968 are the best looking chargers hopefully my 68 will look as good as your 68. The investment property will make u the money to buy it back.
This is a really fine Charger. I'd just repair the rust and wouldn't change much more. Maybe a hotter camshaft. That's it. So freaking SWEET!!!
Chris, I just went myself! First car I learned to drive in was a 68 Charger. Green white top with white interior 318 powered. Loved it. Still love those 68 Chargers

She's a beauty man! I agree the green color is fantastic.
Love the start up of every dodge that sound is second to none
Wish i had the cash chris! My dream body! Just needs a 440!
u would pay 35000 for a rusted car that needs to be restored because i will sell a better one for that kind of money one that has a 440 with tri power
Agree, 35k is ridiculous. Not even in the realm of reality.
I'm a GM guy & I don't care for green but this car looks sweet.
