Welcome to my latest video, This restored VHS home movie takes you on a nostalgic journey through Disney Studios (now Disney's Hollywood Studios) during our family trip in 2001. Relive the magic as we explore the park, capture unforgettable moments, and experience attractions that are now extinct.
In this video, we start by traveling to Disney Studios and taking the tram to the entrance gate. Upon arriving, we enter the park and embark on our first adventure with the iconic Great Movie Ride, an attraction that has since closed but remains a cherished memory for many Disney fans.
Throughout our day, we encounter numerous Disney characters for meet and greets, including the beloved Toy Story Green Soldiers. We also capture the vibrant Disney Stars and Motor Cars Parade, which was a highlight of our visit, and enjoy the entertaining performances by the Citizens of Hollywood street performers.
As we explore the park, we revisit the Toy Story Green Soldiers and take part in the interactive experience of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire - Play It! We also venture into the thrilling world of Star Tours and wander through the now-extinct Streets of America area.
Our adventure continues with the Studio Backlot Tour, featuring the dramatic Catastrophe Canyon, and a visit to the AFI Showcase, where we marvel at movie props and costumes from beloved films. We also make a second visit to the Great Movie Ride, soaking in its cinematic magic one last time.
As the day winds down, we capture views around the park, including a pre-Fantasmic moment, and finally, we bid farewell to Disney Studios and leave the park with hearts full of memories.

Animation, Hollywood, TV, Music and Broadway make it all in all the most nostalgic memories of thrills and fun at the Disney Studios in a post 9-11 world "Returning to normal life" as the state stated after also saying "We will not go quietly into the night" and "we will not live our lives in fear". Did my Disney College Program in 2008 and was beyond lucky to not only get placed in attractions, but the Great Movie Ride! It was one of my favorite experiences and it was such a production to run. They could have easily picked a new lineup of classic movies and updated it to the New Great Movie Ride, unfortunately classics like this are now long gone.

I went here for the first time in 2016 and a lot of these attractions were still there. I think it was the last year that the Mickey hat was there, one of the last years of the great movie ride, the stunt show, and the last year of the honey I shrunk the kids playground. It's weird how different it's become so quickly.
My wife and I also went to Paris in 2018 and the studios at Euro Disney feels like a dad rip off of this. They still had the studio tour at the time and it was essentially a drive through of a prop vehicle graveyard, a set from Reign of Fire, and the canyon/truck fire. Lasted all of I think 15 minutes if that.
